A ferocious father, Isiaka Ayobami has allegedly smashed his one year old girl on the ground hence killing her in the process at Isheri Area of Lagos. The sad incident occurred on Saturday 26th October, 2019 at about 6:00pm.

It was gathered that the man forcefully seized his daughter from the mother and hit her on the ground, shattering her head. The suspect would have been lynched but for the intervention of the police.

Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana confirming the incident on Saturday, said he received a phone call from Isiaka’s younger brother concenring the incident which prompted the response from the police preventing the angry crowd from lynching the suspect. ” The baby’s head was shattered and she died on the spot.

The suspect was almost lynched by angry mobs from the area, if not for the timely intervention of the Police. He will be charged to court for murder” He added .

A Twitter user with the handle @Ms_Dashy took to the platform to narrate his hilarious encounter with an electrician that came to work in their house.

According to the young man, the electrician was shocked when he called him his name and surname which he saw on true caller�. This prompted the electrician to request for prayer thinking he was a Prophet.

Nigerian On-Air Personality, Omotunde Adebowale David popular as Lolo1 has said she needs a change in her life and a getting a new man is top priority at the moment.

Lolo1, who was formerly with Wazobia FM, granted an interview with THE SUN and she opened up on why she quit her radio job, challenges of motherhood and future plans among other issues.

Fabulous! I transited from one job to the other, the year has not been as tasking as I expected. But I have accomplished a bit more. Before the end of the year, you will see me releasing my movies. This year will see me doing my comedy combat and my stage play, so it has been a good year.
Your quitting Wazobia FM took fans by surprise. What informed that decision and what’s your next plan?

Wazobia FM has been such a blessing to me and I am so excited for all the advancements; but no matter how much you love your brand, the desire to grow cannot be suppressed, and that is what I am doing. I want to keep aspiring as new opportunities open up. Even though, I am doing something new, I am not ready to give it off now because it is still cooking. But then it is still in line with radio.

You’ve been in broadcasting for the past 15 years, what were the high points?

I started out with Metro (FM) where I cut my teeth. That was where I went on air for the first time with Modele Ope and met the likes of Delight Alfred, Frank Edoho and Charles Anozodo. Wazobia FM changed a lot for me. I had my first set of awards and the job gave me access to big names and celebrities. I don’t think there is any A-list artiste that I have not interviewed. I had the privilege of interviewing ambassadors and even the vice president and traveled extensively. It has been an amazing and rewarding journey with so many high points.

How about the low points?

When I started pidgin broadcasting, I had an experience. I have done English programming for a long time hence pidgin challenged me at first. I was on Cool FM, doubling as a newsreader when I called Roger Federer ‘Roger Federerer’. Before I knew it, it was in the newspapers how terrible the newscaster was! How I couldn’t pronounce Roger Federer right. It was in a national daily, so you can imagine how devastating it was for me. I remember another instance when I was on radio as a new broadcaster and someone said ‘get that person off the air. She doesn’t know how to speak pidgin’.

Tell us about life as a single mother of four and what is your advice for women in your shoes?

Being a single mum has been one of the most challenging roles in my life. It is a situation that nobody desires, but when life happens, you take it as it comes and move on. I always tell everyone it is not easy, so stop labeling any woman or a mother that is nurturing her children on her own. It is not a disease; it is a state of being. You can’t label people just because they are single, married, divorced, aged, coloured or whatever. We just have to treat everyone like the unique individuals they are. I don’t consider myself different because I am a woman. I consider myself hardworking and a human being; it is not really about my gender. It is tough raising children ….

Asuku Jamiu Abdulkareem, the new Chief of Staff to Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello, has alleged that the impeached deputy governor of Kogi state, Elder Simon Achuba, left a charm in his government house apartment after he hurriedly exited the residence.

Elder Simon Achuba was impeached recently by the Kogi state House of Assembly.

In a Facebook post, Asuku Jamiu Abdulkareem said the charm was discovered when maintenance officers and security personal went to prepare the place to host some visitors for today’s flag off Rally.

”Forgotten juju item by impeached deputy Governor of Kogi. We found this at his official residence after he hurriedly moved out. This is really sad. Achuba has been informed to come pick his item.

In Kogi, we believe in God not juju. Maybe this explains why he is no longer part of the “New Direction” government” he wrote.

Pandemonium broke out in Fagunwa hall, a female hostel in the University of Lagos, last night October 22nd, after students residing in the hall claimed a fellow student confessed that she is a mermaid.

Upon hearing the news that one of them confessed she was of the marine world, female students ran out of the hostel for ”safety.”

According to reports shared by some students of UNILAG, the alleged mermaid known as Olamide was said to have had misunderstanding with another student identified as Blessing who she was accomodating in her room. Olamide claimed Blessing stole her necklace and threatened to deal with Blessing with powers from the ”Marine Spirits.”

Giving a summary of the incident, an anonymous writer wrote:

“A girl named Blessing who is being squatted by Olamide in Fagunwa hall had a misunderstanding with her. The misunderstanding was caused by a missing wristwatch. Upon losing her necklace, thickmatch.com Olamide suspected Blessing and immediately sent her packing from the room and also wrote long notes stating and threatening her not to ever mess with the Marine spirits frankly stating that she is one of them.

“This statement and notes written by the “mammy water” sparked speculations that she was an actual water goddess. Her roommates said that:

1. She only baths in the morning.
2. Upon waking, her bed is always soaked.
3. She wakes up to soak and pour water on her leg.
4. Praying to a necklace over her bed every morning.

“These statements provoked her roommates who dragged her outside while still emphatically insisting that she’s a mermaid.

On the other hand, an anonymous UNILAG student who is believed to have come in contact with the reported Mermaid said:

“I saw her tail. It’s actually real, her tail was gold and big but she turned back before alpha base came to carry her.

“The girl doesn’t allow people to pour water on her or take pictures of her, she acts weird.”

A fruit vendor has been called out and disgraced after he was spotted washing his carrots and cucumbers in a dirty gutter.

This act is very irritating and disgusting, considering the fact that the water source was certainly from people’s urine and all sort of dirt.


The disgusting act provoked an unidentified man, who used his phone to make a video of the carrot seller while he was washing the fruits, to warm Nigerians of the danger they are exposed to everyday when consuming such products.

In the video the vendor could be seen seriously washing his carrot down in the gutter, while another another man was urinating by the corner.
