Let me mention the most popular Nairalanders from descending order. This is based on the frequency of how you see their monikers on the section.
I mean people you will mention their monikers offline that even the ghost readers will say "I know them"

Savemysoulnow: NAIRALANDERS PLEASE HELP ME, MY LIFE IS IN DANGER.
Since 5 days ago, I've been receiving many calls from unknown people telling me that someone reported me to them that I'm sleeping with his wife.
Also, 3 days ago, someone posted the same thing on my facebook timeline.
Almost all my facebook friends were also messaging me that they heard that I slept with a woman.
Also, this morning, another unknown person called me to console me on the death of my sister [in which my sister is not dead at all]
What I noticed is that all the unknown callers keep mentioning my full names.
Please, Im a 19 year old boy and also a virgin, I'm a very shy person, I don't like walking with people, not to even talk of having sex with a married woman. I've never meet the woman anywhere.
My hand is shaking seriously as I'm typing this.
Please what can I do? shut up and open a thread. so you can get better advice. don't jump into others thread |

LordOfNaira: How can that question be meant for high school. Have you taken your time to check the literature some of these pupils read and are able to understand? What really is your problem with the question? The words or the difficulty of getting an answer to it? the girl is just so ignorant, it's off putting |
Education › Re: See Assignment Given To A Primary 1 Pupil by collinsebuka(m): 10:18am On Sep 23, 2017 |
kimbraa: Let me explain this your English of a thing once more to you, and relate that to how kids are taught in America.
Our first language isn't English, but theirs is English. When you were born; your parents were communicating with you in your Native dialect. That's your first language. Could be Hausa, Yoruba or Igbo. Then in school, you'll be taught English so you could read and write while a child in America whose first language is English; that's, as they're born the first words their parents use in communicating with them is English Language, what they teach them later is how to spell these words they already know correctly. If you've read "Gifted Hands" by Ben Carson he did mention of some vocabulary classes where he spelt some words correctly as at when he could read, he spoke English fluently but he was an illiterate 'cause he couldn't spell what he was speaking. He explained that.
A kid in America would use words that even you as an adult in Nigeria doesn't know the meaning and the reason for that is because that's the child's language unlike you who's learning it. This explains why you were shocked at your little niece in US who spoke fluent English. you just love being ignorant don't you I never said I was shocked I said I admired her. there's a difference, pick up a dictionary. secondly your logic is flawed, not everyone communicates with their kids in native dialect, my parents never spoke to me In their native dialect because they were from different tribes and so my sister and I were always spoken to in English. so stop supporting a child not being able to speak well by saying English is not his/her first language. A child in the us is also taught English same way(i don't mean same curriculum before you get confused) we are taught English here. They are taught vocabularies, how to properly pronounce words and language building, some schools even teach Spanish and French. It is because they are taught in school that is why they speak better with vocabularies and the rest not because English is their first language as you wrongly assume. let me take blacks for example, if you hear a black American that isn't educated talk you won't be able to comprehend, they use thangs, thots, yer missus and other words, they don't speak proper English. I'm not surprised anyway at your lack of knowledge and extreme ignorance, most Nigerian women are dull or at best average thinkers. |

kimbraa: That assignment isn't meant for a primary one pupil in Nigeria. It's not even found anywhere in their curriculum.
Again, in the US, their first language is English language that's why a kid over there is more grounded in English than some of us, so quit the comparison. madam stop abeg you are being ignorant so I guess our first language here is French how can they be comparison when you all complain because of the vocabulary used to teach kids. I mean WTF virtue, exhibit and exhibiting are now too big to use on a primary 1 child and we expect them to grow and speak well |

kimbraa: You don't know what you're saying, and some ignorant folks liked your post.
Kids in the US learn gradually, they're not given assignments meant for high school students in grade1. madam what are you saying how is this assignment meant for high school student, because of the use of the word 'exhibit' and the vocabularies please go and search about reading and writing proficiency test in grade 2 and educate yourself. you people are attacking the poster who is right. when I hear my 5 year old niece in the us speak I can't help but admire her use of words and vocabulary |

My 5 year old niece in Boston can speak better than most adults in Nigeria |

MOST OF you here will see this lady and complain about her body size, she's not beautiful to your standard, but when it comes to marriage men don't consider beauty sure beauty is among the list but it isn't a priority, A smoking hot sexy body isn't a priority too.
even a caring and nice lady sef doesn't cut it, the question is do you have a good head on your shoulder?
Men always go for ladies that will assist them, give good advice and make them grow! if you are not capable of doing all these but you are a Miss World, with the most nicest and caring attitude my dear a reasonable man won't slip a ring round that finger.
A good head should be prioritise over any other thing |

1 thing I can never do is marry a girl that isn't intelligent.
You should be engaging and know how to talk about global issues and politics.
I come from a family where everyone is smart/overachievers and constantly talk about politics, business and global events Now how will my girl fare if she isn't knowledgeable, will she just keep mute in a family gathering.
I've met nice and caring girls but they didn't know how to talk, weren't even engaging and couldn't talk about world affairs or give opinions about business.
imagine having a wife that doesn't have any idea about anything or can't help you with ideas to grow your business. it's not compulsory for you to have all the degrees in the world but at least you be knowledgeable and smart |
