TechCapon:
I've been meaning to write this for some time but keep procrastinating. But something happened recently that made me decide to write this today, I'll keep it short and straight to the point.

A friend of mine met this slim, tall, pretty girl and they've been getting along real good. But the girl is always very active in church, and I mean very active. She goes to church almost every day. After work, it's straight to the church whether there's service or not she must find an excuse to go.

Omo, it was a big red flag for me but I didn't say anything to my guy even though he's complaining about it to me. She practically neglect her own life. This church has like 4 services and she attends all 4 and still hang around afterwards, and also follow the pastor and his family back to their house to help with chores.

She entered one chance vehicle one night after her pastor kept her busy in the church until almost midnight and she got robbed of everything and flung out of the speeding car. She treated the injuries for over two months and she stayed without a phone until my guy eventually bought her a phone. Not a dime from the pastor

They'll be together and immediately she receives a call from pastor she gets up like a robot and leaves no matter what. Her excuse is that she's a worker in the church so she can't abandon her role (are you the only worker in that church??)

On her WhatsApp status, it's always pastor pastor pastor grin grin, never has she posted her guy's face on her status cheesy

She's always broke, not even a dime in her name and I'm pretty sure where all her salary is going... Church. She'll collect money from my guy to fulfill her pledge in church and goes back to being broke. It was so bad, I can keep going on and on.

Recently my guy jokingly told her about marriage and guess what she said, that he would follow her to her pastor, he's the one who will tell her if she should go ahead with the marriage or not. Omo e off me angry

She said because she doesn't want to make a mistake and marry wrong person and most people are in wrong marriage because they didn't consult their spiritual fathers blah blah blah

I laughed at my guy and told him point blank to dump her as$$ because even if pastor managed to approve, they'll give him conditions and still force him to join the church and the pastor will have a say in every aspect of the marriage. Her father is alive and she doesn't mention him at all, it's only pastor that makes all the decisions. It's a big turn off.

I've made up my mind that I'll scrutinize any girl I want to marry very well and see if she has this bad trait in her before I proceed.
You have spoken absolute wisdom and truth.
Only divine wisdom exposed these to you.

That rubbish behavior disgusts me to my bones.

Some people especially women worship their pastors and church denominations in place of the most high God himself.
Why worship your fellow man..? A mere Mortal.

Man(Church Pastor)s' worship is very very bad and many christians endulge in it even without knowing and once you try to call them to order, they get aggressive and see nothing wrong in their behavior.

This unchristian practice can be found in both men and women but more common in women.....and the annoying thing is that they are influencing and raising their children in such absordity.

Some of these pastors/men of God know about these unGodly behaviors&practices but choose to milk it&take advantage of these gullible people/members for their selfish interests while hiding under the scriptures.

To the Men of God, please stop these practices in your churches because......It is a very very dangerous thing for you to take the place of God himself in the lives of men&women he created.

Personally, I have observed these unGodly practices and have always kicked against it but ...they will always want to blackmail you or sometimes attempt to threaten you with the self serving&twisted bible scriptures to suit their agendas.

This unGodly practice is more common in pentecostal churches.

As a brother, thread with caution when you come across such females..

Please, people change!.....worship only the true God and not any man no matter how highly regarded.

This message should be on public repeat in churches till there is a positive change for the better.

God help us and show us mercy!

Oilwell:
Only you and Reno Omokri know why Tinubu is suddenly your idol - Dele Momodu takes a swipe at former presidential aide Doyin Okupe

In a candid and sharply-worded tweet, media personality Dele Momodu has expressed his dismay at the political maneuvers and affiliations of former presidential aide, Dr. Doyin Okupe. Momodu's message highlights a history of political flip-flopping and questions the tangible benefits Nigeria has gained from Okupe's support of various administrations.

Momodu recalled his long-standing position in opposition, contrasting it with Okupe's consistent defense of successive governments since his tenure as spokesman for former President Olusegun Obasanjo in 1999. He criticized Okupe's unwavering support for policies he deemed detrimental to Nigeria's progress. Reflecting on his own brief support for President Buhari in 2015, Momodu noted that he quickly withdrew his support due to a perceived lack of direction and has since been vocal in his opposition.

Highlighting a personal anecdote, Momodu recounts a bet made with Okupe at the London Hilton Metropole during the waning days of President Jonathan's administration. Confident in Jonathan's victory, Okupe wagered $20,000, a bet he ultimately lost. According to Momodu, Okupe requested debt forgiveness two years ago at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja.

Momodu critiqued the reliance on theoretical economic indices, emphasizing the need for a balance with practical economic measures. He points out that even international praise, such as that received by President William Ruto of Kenya, does not guarantee economic stability or success domestically.

Touching on Okupe's political journey, Momodu notes his involvement in the presidential bid of Senate President Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and his subsequent support for Governor Peter Obi. He further noted that he doesn't understand why he and his former colleague Reno Omokri have now made President Bola Tinubu their idol.

Read his tweet below………………..
Mr. Dele Momodu.....na man you be👏👏

PoliticsRe: What Atiku Abubakar Told Peter Obi On His 63rd Birthday by colonelwealth(m): 3:41pm On Jul 19, 2024
ochejoseph:
In a heartwarming gesture of camaraderie and respect, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar (Wazirin Adamawa) extended his heartfelt birthday wishes to his running mate in the 2019 presidential election, Peter Obi, on his 63rd birthday celebration. This morning, Atiku took to his official Twitter handle to express his admiration and good wishes for Obi, writing:

Source: https://twitter.com/atiku/status/1814222347840159754

The Atiku-Obi ticket in the 2019 presidential election was a significant moment in Nigeria’s political landscape. Many Nigerians have argued that this partnership was a missed opportunity for the country to stem the tide of what they perceive as disastrous performance under the APC-led government. The Buhari administration rigged itself into power and with the tacit collaboration of INEC, using the same template they imposed the present disasters in government.

Amid the ongoing political and economic struggles, Nigerians from all political divides are calling for close collaboration between these two political giants and other gladiators across the spectrum. The hope is that such alliances could help salvage the nation from the present state of hunger and hopelessness.

The Atiku-Obi ticket was seen by many as a potential turning point for Nigeria. Their combined experience and dedication to public service offered a vision of progress and stability. Unfortunately, the outcome of the 2019 election dashed these hopes, leaving many to wonder what could have been if this dynamic duo had been given the chance to lead.

Despite the setbacks, Atiku’s message to Obi is a reminder of the enduring spirit of hope and resilience. It underscores the importance of unity and the continued effort to serve the nation, no matter the challenges. As Peter Obi celebrates his 63rd birthday, his legacy as a dedicated patriot and leader continues to inspire many Nigerians.

Atiku Abubakar’s birthday message to Peter Obi is more than just a congratulatory note; it is a symbol of solidarity and a call to action for all who believe in a better Nigeria. As the country navigates its way through difficult times, the words of these leaders remind us of the power of unity and the importance of continued dedication to the service of the nation.

Dr. Oche Joseph Otorkpa (FRSPH-UK)
Happy birthday 🎂🎈 🎇 Sir....His excellency Mr. Petter Obi.

PoliticsRe: What Edge Does Biafra Have In Succeed As A Nation? by colonelwealth(m): 12:04am On Jul 12, 2024
Authority1o1:
A question was asked on a platform I belong to. It says,

'What edge does Biafra have to blossom as a nation?'

Wait, like I said earlier, the preceding question and the succeeding answering article were culled. I don't need to put so much effort in indicating my ethnicity. Those who know me before now know where I hail from and my inclinations. So you can cut it down on the name calling. Mature contributions will do.

To proceed, from the first tool of indication of one's ethnicity, which is the name, an Igbo on the same platform writes a fairly lengthy reply to answer the question:

Survive is a very low bar though. Will the Eastern states “free” of Nigeria continue to exist, in spite of danger and or hardship? Sure, 40% chance.

A few things to note though: A rough calculation based on the most recent data I could find puts the Biafran GDP at $36,791 billion. The Igbo population, also based on the most recent data I could fine is 34 million. That would leave “Biafra” with a starting per capita GDP of $1,082. Congratulations on being the world’s 5th poorest country, a real stroke of genius. Ignore all those people telling you what a terrible idea it is, even the United States once had a per Capita GDP below $1500.

As for future prospects based on trade and a warm loving relationship between “Biafra” and her neighbours. I believe it was Chinua Achebe, a great son of the Igbo who said something along the lines that the one thing all Nigerian ethnic groups can agree on is a dislike for the Igbo. Let’s be honest here, given a chance to humiliate the Igbo, would the rest of Nigeria act like good Christians and Muslims should, or will it be the most popular policy since free education?

Now, the best way to avoid a trade blockade is by you know having something valuable to trade, what does “Biafra” have? Coal, crude oil? Well aside from coal literally being at present the world’s most “taboo” resource, what with its pollution and the knock down effect on the health of the populace, its prices are dropping. Indulge me a little digression.

I believe a lot of Nigerians have a rather rosy view of resources. When Nigerians hear gold, crude oil and coal, they think:
(Writer attaches a picture of dollars flying all over the place)

In reality, it’s more:
(Writer attaches a picture of a dilapidated Niger Delta with crude oil mess very visible)

The writer says:
P.S, combining the last image with the country’s most erosion prone region…what could go wrong? Things the world’s 5th poorest country can’t afford to fix.
( An image of an unknown road gradually eroding follows. Probably of an Eastern State )

Anyways, Nigeria will see…coal, and raise you things like I dunno, food!

I’d like to remind everybody that places like Enugu isn’t Lagos, where you can just sink a borehole anywhere, most of the region is water-scarce.

Ohh, almost forgot, palm fruit…palm fruit!!! Jesu! Come on, leaving outside little things like how you’d have to undercut prices to claim market share or how no nation should have exploiting palm fruit as the corner-stone of its development plan, the rest of Nigeria would simply go, hey nice palm fruit you have here, how exactly are you getting it out again?

All of the above bring me to a simple point, one Trotsky made a long time ago, “You may not be interested in war, but war is interested in you”. Forget all this talk of “peaceful separation”, that is not the logic of state relations. Most people do not want war, war simply follows its own logic.

What leverage does “Biafra” have over Nigeria, why should Nigeria not tighten the screws?
Why should the Niger-Delta states join “Biafra” rather than I don’t know, forming their own country, and keeping their oil and future tax reciepts from allowing “Biafran” exports?
So “Biafra” will consist of the nucleus of South-Eastern states, the world’s 5th poorest country. What are the leaders who promised prosperity likely to do, accept responsibility or blame Nigeria?
Will “Biafra”, whose whole reason for existence is to prevent the “marginalisation” of the Igbo, ignore the “marginalisation of Igbo minorities outside Biafra territories?
Look at those, tell me what other option is left?

It’s not like Europe and Asia have lost hundreds of millions of their people proving that states based on ethnic chauvinism are a terrible idea.

A subject often ignored on this topic is the reaction of Igbo “Nigerians”. You know the ones who weren’t born in the South-East, who were bullied for speaking the language “wrong”, “worse”, some of them would have married Nigerians. What happens to them? I mean, it’s not like we have real-life examples of how people react when forced to prove their loyalties.

Adaka Boro witnessed in person Ibo arrogance and discrimination alongside their domineering nature.

The reason for Adaka's revolt was because COR region was about to be carved out of the eastern region by the Federal Parliament after years of deadlock at the regional house in Enugu.

The coup of Jan 15, 1966 put an end to that excersice and worst of all saw to an Ibo dictatorship that dashed all hopes of SS people leaving the eastern region.

It's for this reason Adaka Boro declared to leave Nigeria as a whole

Ojukwu was the one who put down that revolt by bombing and killing Ijaw and minority villages which forced Adaka to surrender himself to avoid further killings of civilians by ojukwu and his Ibo army.

It's also important to remember that Ojukwu celebrated Ironsi's decree 34 that abolished regions for a powerful central govt with the regions reduced to mere provinces . Same Ojukwu will be calling for a return to regional govt after Gowon created states and when that didn't happen, Ojukwu dragged the same people that wanted to leave Nigeria to avoid the Ibo into his biafra .

Is that not madness ?

And for some reason the Ibos are blaming and insulting SS people for rightfully rejecting them.

Igbos will continue to do well, prosper, improve and wax stronger....no amount of bile, bitterness and envy can stop it.

DomPerignon:
There are many Ibos there .

Since anywhere ibos settled is automatically Ibo land, I suggest IPOB include Alabama, New Orleans as part of Biafra land .
They haven't claimed it same way your family haven't claimed you since your stupidity turned to full madness.

You are a foolish fellow.

BRAND NEW LEXUS LX 600 2023, going for #500m slightly negotiable

Location: Abuja

Call/Whatsapp: 08032449931
OP, I like your efforts as a businessman trying to earn a decent living but you see this kind of price you put up there for that Lexus is nothing but pure GREED.
Half a billion naira for an SUV....??

I know dollar and duty are way high but that's not enough excuse. You didn't buy import this car this week nor is that price you quoted anywhere near equivalent to the dollar price+shipping cost.

That's over inflating a price when it's not bulletproof.....this is the problem with Nigerians and being too over profit minded....it is behaviors like this that causes inflation, high cost of living and economic conflictions we have now.

That is you devaluing the naira and it has general economic consequences for the nation.

Why won't there be corruption & embezzlement, hyperinflation&high crime rate..?

Thank you Dr. Amadi.
You spoke the truth to the insincere old man.
More grace to you for that.

Gowon is a disgraceful old man who should respect his age.

He has never spoken against the killing of his tribe men, women & children nor against the many problems of Nigeria instead he wants to use side reckless statements to annoy the Igbo nation.

He is going about claiming founder of ECOWAS who wants to save it from collapse but couldn't use same energy to save the hundreds of lives under his nose in his locality that desperately needs him to stand up for them.

He quarterly goes to collect handouts from every sitting President in exchange for his silence everytime...the man is an insincere elder.
Nigeria is at a time many are looking up to people like him to help save the nation instead the man is trying to distabilize the country with his unguarded behavior and speech.

It is times like this one will know the difference between men.
Look at T.Y Danjuma, Obj, etc being true elder statesman, always calling things to government do to other to protect the people.

Many Agbado fans are here singing Gowon's praise because of their insincerity and bias but they all should know that time happens to everything under the universe as tables will turn soon.
