Ijo ope wa da, ijo ope wa reeee. I am super excited to welcome us all to the month of April, the last month preceding May. Despite the ups and downs we have all encountered since January, our God has been faithful.

Pregnancy is an amazing journey with different packages but we thank God for being with us. We are all in the last trimester and I know we can't all wait to meet our Beautiful LOs. May God continue to make it easy for us.

Please, if I blend the ewedu do I still have to filter it before drinking.

What I did today
- 1 cup of ewedu leaf (semi fresh) been in fridge for over a week.
- washed and blended it with very little water to make ewedu juice
- Drank it without filtering it.
The only thing I noticed is, it had very little slim .Does that matter?

No sis.
It doesn't matter.
Just blend it and drink. It's easier that way.

HOW TO PREPARE EWEDU :
Once you get ewedu, detach from the sticks wash & keep aside. Put little water in a pot & add iru & potash to it(I dont know if it's necessary but that's the way yoruba prepare it). Allow the water to reach boiling point then pour d ewedu in it leave for a while to softer very well, once soften you can either blend in food processor or use that small broom(ijabe) to mash it. I hope I try. Or you can just Google it on YouTube it'll be easier

Sis, this your method is when you want to prepare Ewedu to eat.
The one for pregnant women for labor is different.
Preparation:
Once you get ewedu, preferably the fresh one, detach from the sticks, gather the leaf and wash it.
Add little water, squeeze it well and filter it to get the juice
Drink it without adding anything.

To make things easier, you can use a blender. Then drink.

Note;
Pls o, this is only meant for when your pregnancy is 7 - 8 months and above o.
DON'T TRY IT IF YOUR PREGNANCY IS BELOW.

Please mamas, is there anything I can do to reduce the stitches pains?? . I got tear, my baby also gave me tear. I was told not to sit on hot water to avoid the stitching getting loose and to avoid re stitching. Bikonu, I need help, since Thursday, I have been in pains.

Sit on warm water. Just add a pinch of salt and a little Dettol.
The water should be warm not hot.
Also try and sit on flat wooden surfaces. It helps a lot too.
Example is the picture attached.

I was induced oh! Shuuu! The pain was hell but God saw me through . I put to bed on Thursday, 9th February.

For the tetanus injection, I was told I'll take five. I've taken just one

You are mixing it up.
You will take 5 in your lifetime if you are consistent.
But you will only take 2 in your pregnant state.
First dose : when your pregnancy is 4 months and above
Second dose: A month after the first.
Third dose: By the time for the third dose, you would have given birth by then. So most people don't even go back for it.
If you don't complete the 5 stages, you will start again when you get pregnant.

During my first pregnancy, I had 2 doses and the third after I had my baby.
I forgot to go for the 4th appointment.
Now that I am pregnant again, I have to start all over cos I missed the 4th and 5th.

I've been wanting to ask about folic acid. Is it to be taken till delivery? I'm 27weeks & I'm still on folic acid & ferrous. The Dr.only gives me fansidar once monthly. Also I have taken 2 anti tetanus injection so far, do I still have to take any injection before given birth? I requested for calcium but the Dr told me since I'm eating no need but if I so much need it I shud get zesra or someting. That it contains all d nutrients. Pls is this right

Fansidar is once monthly.
You are doing well.
I only took one injection, my second appointment is after a month of taking the first dose.

I thought a pregnant woman needs to take it till she gives birth?
And also, I can’t remember the 3rd supplement to be taken; folic acid, b co and what’s the 3rd?

Ferrous is the 3rd.
Folic acid is once daily till she gives birth
