Hon Nwanosike to Build Staff Quarters

The Civil servants of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State have pleaded with the Executive Chairman of the LGA, Hon Engr Samuel Nwanosike (JP), to present himself for another tenure in office.

The staff of the LGA made the plea during an interactive meeting with the Council Chairman on Tuesday at the new Council's Secretariat built by his administration, Isiokpo.

The call for Hon Nwanosike to re-contest for another tenure was premised on his developmental strides and harmonious relationship with the workers.

Opposition Parties were disappointed over the suspended NLC protest.
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike says he has utilized the mandate given to him by Rivers people to provide basic infrastructure for them.

Rivers Government, on Tuesday, unsealed the Nigeria Labour Congress secretariat in Port Harcourt, following collective  agreement signed with the union.

Mr Ayuba Wabba, NLC President, on Sept. 4, issued a notice to hold mass rally over the sealed secretariat among other lingering industrial dispute.

Singer, Tiwa Savage went emotional while recounting how she so broke, struggled, and lived in a shelter with drug addicts in Brooklyn, New York.

According to her, she had just graduated from the university in New York and was very broke because she couldn’t work as an International student.

In her words… “I think I was 22 and we were in New York. I was living in Bed-Stuy, kind of like a shelter. A lot of people didn’t know this.

Rivers State Government has perfected plans to approach the Industrial Court to file contempt charges against the NLC in Rivers State if they continue with the planed protests slated on Tuesday September 8, 2020.

speaking with Journalists today at Government House Port-Harcourt,Rivers state Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General, Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor, said that nobody is above the law, that anyone that disobeys the court ruling will be made to face the consequences no matter how highly placed.

He continued in saying that the Court which restrained the organized labour from embarking on any protest in the State, reserves both statutory and inherent powers to punish any party which disobeys its order by committing the party in default to prison until the said party purges himself of the contempt.

Information reaching CompassGist has it that  the vice chancellor of Ekiti state university, Edward Olorunsola Olanipekun killed some of his students and left many injured without proper care.

According to the news spreading on social media that the vice Chancellor left the injured students without care. From an eye witness who spoke with CompassGist disclosed  that the vice chancellor caused a terrible car accident that claimed multiple lives and left many injured and abandoned, on the 18th of May, 2020.

The Vice Chancellors convoy which was said to have over-sped recklessly, collided with an opposing vehicle along Ado- Iworoko Road. As a result of this fatal accident, some lives were lost and the two survivors of the accident were terribly injured. Their limbs were badly damaged, fractured and dislocated. Their necks were fractured and one of them, Roqayat Mohammed went into coma for days.
