In fact, there is a shortage of accountants according to CPA recent research. To excel in the accounting profession, you need to be Chartered or certified with technical skills. Since you are looking at the USA, CPA is your best bet. Go online and see salaries and job adverts of accountants in the US and the world(LinkedIn,indeed etc), you self go hail.
