The downloads were stuck on 1%. Then i tried this.
That cleared all the downloads. And now, windows cant find updates even as i'm connected

What you did is what I would have advised. So just give it time and try again. Some times the problem is not from your PC but Microsoft servers. They fail often. Continue trying and it will download

open the app and click on activate windows. It will go through some processes and say "activation successful" if not then send me a screenshot if what it said so I can help

I can't guarantee it will be normal because they might have caused physical damage to it but yes you can get all your files back. Use RECUVA software. I prefer it

For the first 2 errors you mentioned, the cause is autorun.inf present in the hard drive. But if it's blinking and not accessible then there's another problem. Did it fall or Was it in use and you just removed it from the laptop without ejecting it properly?

I will advise you to get "Recuva" and recover your files then download "HDD Regeneration" and try repairing it.

You can't use it for formatting. You'll have to make the flash drive Bootable using a software like Rufus or PowerISO

The error shows it's not detecting your hard drive during boot up. I will advice you boot into BIOS and reset boot priority. Make your hard drive the first priority. Also unplug any usb and remove CD in the ROM before booting

It won't come cheap yet it would be worth it seeing techie journalists who've had hands on access to Ryzen and Vega [AMD's upcoming GPU line] demos at CES 2017 are really impressed and confirming its trading blows with the best of Intel's sixth gen Skylake architecture CPU line-up
And don't forget that the new 7th gen Kabylake is just a slight optimization of the previous Skylake architecture
If AMD gets their pricing and branding right, they could be in for a killing in the HEDT market

Nope I wasn't talking about the Ryzen chips. Those would worth more than a plot of land. I'm just getting from the earlier models. I said I will use AMD because many Nigerians (including me) have been avoiding AMD processors. I recently figured we're all judging them using their old processor series. I am currently using hp 15 with AMD A4 processor and it more than cool. No heating, runs graphics well and is fast too.

For the HEDT market, AMD is already in. I see AMD PCs costing more than Intel in the next 3 years
