Politics / Press Conference By Coalition Of Atiku Support Groups by Comrde3g(m): 2:25pm On Nov 12, 2018
PRESS CONFERENCE BY COALITION OF ATIKU SUPPORT GROUPS
HELD ON MONDAY 12TH NOVEMBER, 2018 IN ABUJA, NIGERIA.

Gentlemen of the press, it is pertinent to make certain points clear at this juncture to correct the APC sponsored fellow and his cohorts that issued misleading statements in an attempt to paint the hard working H. E Otunba Gbenga Daniel led Atiku Presidential Campaign Organisation (APCO) black and to hoodwink those who don’t have adequate information about the relationship between APCO and Atiku Support Groups.

Ordinarily we wouldn’t have responded to the ranting of the propagandist that is only acting scripts drafted by the opponents who are his paymasters; but for the sake of those who may be deceived by him, we have decided to clarify the following:

1. In politics, support groups are formed by people who come together on their own accord to support a candidate willingly. Synonyms for “willingly” include voluntarily, of your own accord, of your own free will etc. Hence, members of such groups formed "voluntarily" are best referred to as "volunteers". However, such reference does not in any way demean the people or the group. Therefore, members of voluntarily created support groups that frown at been referred to as volunteers are either deliberately creating problem where there is none or have problem with comprehending simple word in English language.

2. It will be foolhardy for any genuine support group to allege been used and dumped by His Excellency Atiku Abubakar when even the main campaign has not started as INEC has not even lifted ban on campaign. A rational thinking person can only allege to have been used and dumped if he/she was assigned specific tasks during the campaign and the assigned tasks were well carried out, and till the entire campaign ended he/she is not compensated in any way for the jobs “well done”.

3. We want to categorically and fundamentally assert at this point that the real supporters of Atiku are those who, out of love for him and passion to liberate this country from the shackles of bad governance, voluntarily set up support groups to contribute their quota towards his victory in the February presidential election; and not those who erroneously assume that setting up an Atiku support group is another get-rich-quick scheme.

4. Before the PDP presidential primary, Atiku always inform leaders of support groups that he would not be able to sponsor support groups before the primary, because the full attention then was on how to get delegates elect him as PDP flag-bearer. However, he also always adds that there are plans for support groups. His Excellency Otunba Gbenga Daniel also always makes it clear that there are plans for support groups when the main general campaign kicks off fully.

5. To show that Atiku and APCO mean business, a director and a deputy director were appointed to oversee the affairs of support groups by registering them, maintaining a database for them, ensuring they are well coordinated and work towards how to carry them along in the main campaign. Many groups have been registered and more are still registering. And as each group is registered the details are included in the database. And even the hard copy of information about groups registered before the primary is available in APCO office for group leaders that want to check.

6. Are support groups now to go ahead of APCO despite the clear plan and the structure in place? Both the master-minder and the sponsors of the propaganda against APCO have failed woefully in their attempt to blackmail Atiku and APCO. Because this is God’s time for Atiku. And Atiku’s campaign is the movement of the people, by the people and for the people.

7. On this note we want reaffirm that Atiku support groups are UNITED, INTACT AND EVER PASSIONATE in the pursuit of our one-point agenda, and that is to ensure landslide victory for the Atiku/Obi ticket by February 2019. As you can all see, with us here are leaders of so many Atiku support groups, who due to their unalloyed support for Atiku have travelled from different parts of the country just to be part of this press briefing as a way of expressing their solidarity for Atiku and the Otunba Gbenga Daniel led APCO.

Nigerians should expect more funny and dirty games from the desperate APC. But we assert again, that they will continue to fail.

Conclusively, we call on all those who truly desire the good of our beloved country to continue to support Atiku with the best of their ability, because we all need to contribute our quota in the journey to liberate our beloved country. And as we are all not ignorant of the devices of APC, let's not fall prey of their machinations at any point, because they will still come up with other schemes as this has failed.

Special thanks to Senator Felix Kola Ogunwale (Jumokol) for his support. And thanks to all the leaders of various Atiku Support Groups who traveled from different parts Nigeria to express their selfless solidarity.

Thank you all and God bless you all.

Politics / Buhari's Certificate : Shame Of A Nation by Comrde3g(m): 10:01am On Nov 03, 2018
SHAME OF A NATION:

The issue of Buhari's school certificate has become too shameful and many questions begging for answer:

1. Does it mean since he has been contesting he has been using affidavits?

2. Does it mean if PDP didn't raise alarm and intensify, the so called attestation certificate would not have been issued by West Africa Examinations Council (WAEC)?

3. Does it mean the one he claimed to have received in 2015 is fake, or is it that of 2018 that is fake or both?

4. Does it mean during the time he claimed he wrote WAEC (1961) you can sit for Hausa that was introduced in 1975?

7. Does it mean he was able to sit for WAEC in the Katsina State that has not been created in 1961 that he claimed to have sat for WAEC? Katsina State was created from Kaduna State on Wed 23rd Sept., 1987.

Why is Buhari bent on always disgracing us before the international community?

And some clowns will still call him "Mr. Integrity".

This is the shame of a nation...

Politics / PVC : A Tool Against Political Deceit by Comrde3g(m): 5:22pm On Nov 02, 2018
*THE PVC....A TOOL AGAINST POLITICAL DECEIT*
When you betray your people for political gain, you are worse than a Judas. APC keeps deceiving gullible Nigerians at the detriment of our posterity.
Imagine these two APC stalwarts NGIGE and FASHOLA speaking from one side of their mouths in a bid to deceive their kinsmen into selling their soul to the devil.
The party, APC is a replica of tribal politics everywhere they are and Nigerians will no longer buy into that because we are one big unified people whose values are founded on the beauty of our diversity.
This is personified in the mix of *ATIKU/OBI* presidential candidacy of the PDP. Take it or leave it, the time for real CHANGE has come and with the *PVC,* Nigerians shall define their destiny in 2019. These technocrats with their wealth of leadership and economic experience can reverse the negative narratives of our economy and secure a future for our posterity.

Politics / How Buhari/Apc Are Scamming Nigerians With Pump Price Of Fuel by Comrde3g(m): 11:17am On Nov 02, 2018
One of the major variables that has been playing a key role in the standard of living of the Nigerian populace is the pump price of fuel. The APC led administration promised to reduce the pump price to N45 if voted into power during their campaigns.

But unfortunately instead of keeping the promise, Buhari and APC are scamming Nigerians. For every N145 paid for a liter of fuel, the Buhari Presidency cabals divert a hidden N58 which Nigerians have continued to pay since the fuel price was increased from N87 to presumably subsidized cost of N145.

Handling the issue of the cabals alone will first bring down fuel pump price Then a good template will reduce the suffering of Nigerians.

Only Atiku Abubakar already has a template that will crash the pump price.

Politics / Atiku Will Reduce Fuel Price - PDP by Comrde3g(m): 7:51pm On Nov 01, 2018
November 1, 2018

Press Statement

PDP: Atiku Will Reduce Fuel Price…Accuses Buhari, APC of Fleecing Nigerians

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says its Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has worked out a pricing template that will immediately crash the pump price of fuel in the country, since the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress (APC) administration, in its insensitivity, has failed to do the needful in the last three years.

This is just as the PDP completely rejects the Buhari-led Federal Government’s increase of the official prices of diesel and kerosine, stating that such will bring more economic pressure on the already impoverished nation, as most businesses and homes across the country heavily depend on these products for sustenance.

The party revealed that it has been in high level talks with top international players in the oil and gas industry, adding that its engagements has shown that the appropriate pump price of fuel in the Nigerian market, under the current subsidy regimes of the Buhari Presidency, should be within the borders of N87 to N90 per liter as against the N145 currently being charged.

The PDP said with the current price template of crude oil in the international market, the Buhari administration has no justification to keep the pump price of fuel at N145 per liter and watch Nigerians groan under the weight of high prices, while a cabal at the presidency loot the funds meant to subsidize the product.

The PDP notes that for every N145 paid for a liter of fuel, the Presidency cabal diverts a hidden N58 which Nigerians have continued to pay since the fuel price was increased from N87 to presumably subsidized cost of N145.

Apart from failing to account for the over N1.4 trillion allegedly siphoned through sleazy oil subsidy deals, the Buhari-led Federal Government is burdened to account for the over N3.49 trillion stolen under the hidden N58 per liter of fuel on over 50 million daily domestic consumption estimated in the last three years.

The PDP notes that had the Buhari administration heed wise counsel to be transparent in its dealings in governance and to engage more experienced hands on petroleum issues, the nation would not have been in the dire straits we face today.

The party however urges Nigerians not to despair as its Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has already worked out a blueprint that will end sleazes, ensure appropriate pricing template and free resources to guarantee availability of product on a national pricing regime.

Dear Chief of Defence Staff,

RE: Major General Muhammadu Buhari's Credentials

I write as a concerned citizen of Nigeria to request that you use your good offices to effect the immediate release of academic credentials of Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) to INEC.

Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) is the presidential candidate of the APC in the 2019 general election and he is in urgent need of the credentials to support his nomination as provided by the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).

I wish to remind you that in 2015, the said Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) could not present his credentials because the then PDP government of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan allegedly prevented the Military from releasing the credentials.

The CDS sir, you should be reminded that the said Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) is the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, and he could have just used his powers to compel the military authority to use a Fighter Jet to fly the credentials to INEC.

Kindly treat this request as urgent because the said Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) on whose behalf I make this request risks disqualification by INEC if he fails to submit the credentials as demanded by the law.

You may not need to provide all the credentials however, just release the Primary Six and Secondary School Certificates.

Thank you in anticipation of your prompt and favourable consideration of this request.

Yours truly,

RE: APC releases Song titled "Atiku is a Thief"

We need to restate as directed by His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, Presidential Candidate of The PDP that the 2019 election should be issue based, deviod of slandering and name calling.

We hold the view that unguarded narrative hurts the country and further divides us as a people.

Some of the consequences of previous mismanaged campaign efforts is perhaps the reason why their is little or no internal cohesion with its attendant security challenges.

Elections comes every 4 years in our country and if great effort is not taken, we could hurt the country and its people needlessly and invariably our democracy.

We have to sign up to this ideals, we can campaign without recourse to hate speech, liabel, lies, undue criminalization of people and each other.

On our part we have signed up to running an issue based campaign and if it is not too hard for the Muhammadu Buhari administration and the APC to understand, we call on you to do the same.

There is greater value in doing so. Nigeria is the most populous black nation on earth and we owe it to ourselves and the black race to be above board.

We are merely trying to present our idea on how the country should be lead and not interested in anything else. And by so doing, set Nigeria and its people on the path of working again.

Politics / Exposed : How Omoyele Sowore Demanded For Bribe by Comrde3g(m): 9:40am On Oct 22, 2018
FLASH: Sowore (Saharareporters) An Unrepentant Blackmailer………

The Blackmail Audio Uncovered.
An audio tape obtained by ALEDEH has revealed how Saharareporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore allegedly demanded for bribe from journalist and PR consultant, Lekan Fatodu.

In the tape, which captures a telephone conversation between Sowore and Lekan, the Saharareporters publisher is overheard telling Mr. Fatodu of how the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) were trailing the PR consultant and how he (Sowore) had pleaded on his behalf.
Sowore allegedly said: “If people contacted me and said that EFCC wants to invite you to something, and I said to them, let me work on it…If the party that brought me into this picture said they are going after you and I say calm down now, I know this guy.
“You understand…that’s what I was telling you yesterday. Ehen. That was what I was saying” he added.

Apparently furious with Sowore’s statement, Fatodu assured the Saharareporters publisher of his readiness to face the anti-graft agency, adding that he carried out a legitimate business and as such had nothing to hide from the EFCC

Omoyele Sowore the founder of Sahara reporters is a blackmailer who extorted money from people in order not to publish false story against them, example of such is the case of Lekan Fatodu who latter got Sowore arrested in Lagos.
Whenever it sooths Sowore's whims and despicable machinations, he would use his Saharareporters.com to spew unimaginable falsehoods against people. Usually, he does it either for blackmail purpose and some bizarre and insane objective.

We urge Nigerians to beware of this mad man(Sowore) who is  secretly working for Buhari's reelection and he is hellbent on blackmailing any politician that is against Buhari's reelection and according to information from a reliable source in Buhari's cabinet, Sowore has been paid 1.5 billion naira by Buhari led FG  to start attacking all other presidential aspirants who had won their Party's primary election.

Still on Hon Segun Sowunmi Vs Festus Kenyamo on Channels TV.
I noticed most Nigerians are hailing the Spokesperson of Atiku Presidential Organization in person of Hon Segun Sowumi for his outstanding performance, In fact he was the man of the moment.
I also noticed that many people are now calling for Festus Kenyamo's head, some people are saying that Buhari should get rid of Kenyamo for his woeful outing against Hon. Segun Sowumi but I was forced to ask that who can do it better against Hon. Segun Sowumi, Lai Mohammed would have perform more woeful. I salute Festus Kenyamo. it is easy to tell lies continuously but it is never easy to defend lies. APC believes in lie but PDP believes in truth.
APC is darkness while PDP is light. The truth will always win against lies and while Light will always overcome darkness.
Even before the commencement of the programme, I already know that Segun Sowumi is only going to the programs to tutor Festus Kenyamo and Hon.Segun Sowumi has made us proud again.

Press Statement

PDP Worries Over Alleged Plot to Arrest Obasanjo

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is alarmed by the revelation of former President Olusegun Obasanjo that the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government is plotting to arrest him on trumped up charges and detain him indefinitely.

PDP says the revelation coming from a Nigerian of Chief Obasanjo status is terrifying as it has heightened the tension in the polity and confirmed our fears that our dear nation has descended into a police state where any Nigerian, who holds a divergent view to President Muhammodu Buhari 2019 re-election bid, becomes endangered.

The alarm by Chief Obasanjo has further shown that the PDP has not been crying wolf regarding the plots by the APC Federal Government to frame, arrest, detain and arraign political opponents of the APC, including regular Nigerians, for holding or canvasing opinions that are divergent to the interest of those in power.

We invite Nigerians to note the travails faced by perceived opponents of Buhari Presidency including Senate President Bukola Saraki, Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, Senators Shehu Sani and Dino Melaye, who had raised similar alarms in the past.

The PDP urges Nigerians to note how APC controlled security forces, on Wednesday, arrested and detained opposition members in Ogun state, including a member of the House of Assembly, Hon Adebiyi Adeleye, who were going about their legitimate activities, only to tag them as cultists.

The PDP condemns APC’s resort to persecution, intimidation, harassment and framing of our members, as well as dissenting voices, just to suppress the opposition ahead of the 2019 election.

PDP wants the APC and Buhari Presidency to note that no amount of coercion, intimidation and illegal arrests will alter the determination of Nigerians to vote out the dysfunctional APC and rescue our nation from the shackles of the Buhari Presidency and its misrule, come 2019.

Politics / Senator Dino Melaye : A Man Of Courage And Indefatigable Spirit by Comrde3g(m): 2:33pm On Jun 04, 2018
“To be honest, formally my impression and perception about Senator Dino Melaye was critically unlikeable, formally I was so overwhelmingly disgusted concerning his political styles which I distantly found very indecorous and needlessly inelegant, but regrettably without getting deep to the root of his congenital methodology of resilience, brilliance, cerebral, fecundity, selflessness, and patriotism of man of courage and indefatigable spirit!

However, on course of my painstaking forensic findings and tactical inquisitiveness, I later discovered that the gentleman is a charismatic character and a special political breed as rare and uncommon in Nigeria political space. I was personally amazed and inspired by his legislative sui generis of colourful antecedents, and of kinetic parameter of great symbolism: ... He has sponsored so many wonderful bills, he has performed many oversight functions famously and creditably. He has touched his constituency positively, he has applied a combination of extant law, common law, rule books, constitution and judiciary pronouncements as a guiding principle on his legislative phenomena duties.
Then, he become a torn in the flesh to many of his political adversaries and woes, of course, he has many of them. Yes, they were very uncomfortable with his towering political achievements, diligence, oratorical prowess, intelligence, and popularity. They detest his gallantry personality at calling a spade a spade without considering whose ox is gored.
But many still love this great man of Okunland, because he is a political idol and icon to many Nigerians and they adore and cherish him as well.. And they have offered their prayers to God on his behalf, interceding on his behalf that God should continue to be his strength. And to continue to wax stronger and stronger, because, he is a living legend....and with God, he is always a winner and so he will be by the grace of God. Get well, and get on, and be strong in GOD....DINO MELAYE.”

Politics / Democracy Day : Atiku Felicitates With Nigerians by Comrde3g(m): 10:28am On May 28, 2018
Statement by Atiku Abubakar, GCON, former Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, on the occasion of Democracy Day on Tuesday, 29th May, 2019.

Dear fellow Nigerians, on this occasion of Democracy Day, I wish to felicitate with you.

It is remarkable that despite the assault on our hard-won democracy by anti-democratic forces, we have continued to soldier on as a people and as a country.

The integrity of Nigeria’s electoral process and ability of government to be accountable to the people are the minimum requirements to appreciate the sacrifices of those who gave their all for the enthronement of democracy in the country.

Nigeria’s journey to democracy was a tortuous one that claimed lives and limbs of many a patriot and it is incumbent upon us as beneficiaries of their sacrifices to ensure that we advance the course of democracy through transparent elections and making our governmental institutions work for the people.

Even as we celebrate, my fellow patriots, let us spare some time to reflect and to mourn all those murdered in the on-going needless killings across our dear country.

These Nigerians have been killed in the continuing murderous rampage of criminal elements across the country but especially in Borno and Yobe, and the Benue River Valley, stretching from Adamawa through Taraba to the confluence of Kogi and Benue, and including Nasarawa, Plateau, Southern Kaduna, and Zamfara. Others have been killed by armed robbers, kidnappers, cattle rustlers and other marauding bandits. The killings have even extended to sacred places of worship where innocent Imams and Christian clergy and worshipers are slaughtered.

This carnage has gone on for too long and must stop. In a letter that I sent to the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria recently on these killings, I pointed out, and I repeat it here, that only government can stop these senseless killings if we are to avoid major and further damage to the fabric of our fragile unity.

The recent history of Somalia, Rwanda, Burundi and Central African Republic, among others, should be a strident warning to all of us, especially those in government whose primary responsibility is the protection of the citizens, but who have been dithering, making contradictory and ridiculous excuses and engaging in diversionary finger-pointing.

The democracy that we celebrate today is a fruit of the labour of patriots, some of who paid the supreme price. As inheritors of this beautiful concept of democracy, it behooves us to ensure that democracy is nurtured not just as a mechanism for a periodic change of government, but as a social construct.

The ultimate virtue in democracy is the power that it bestows in the people. The very essence of that power lies in the ability of the people to live a complete lifestyle that enables every man or woman to triumph in his or her legitimate pursuit. The concept of democracy is absolutely incongruent with a notion of regimentation either in the political or economic sphere.

As we move forward as a country, it is important that we respond to the dynamics of time in proffering solutions to some of the challenges that beset us. Today, the popular clamour amongst our people is the need to make government more responsive and responsible. Our challenges about insecurity and diversification of the economy have acquired new phases in the past few years and thus should our solutions to those challenges require a brand new thinking.

As the nation goes through a cycle of elections in the coming months, it is important that the integrity of the electoral process is sacrosanct with guarantees of free and fair election. Democracy is by itself a self-correcting concept, but only if there is guarantee of credibility in the electoral process.

We have mourned Nigerian souls to terror attacks enough for us to learn that it is insufficient that the federal government has exclusive statutory mandate in providing security for our people. Our economy has become too exposed to the vagaries of global oil prices for us not to decipher that we need to invest massively in infrastructure and liberalize the economy to create fresh opportunities for the people. Our communities and associations have become so divided and apart that we cannot even begin to confront the most basic of our challenges when we don’t share a mutual sense of belonging.

These are some of the challenges that we must begin to re-evaluate their manifestation, and the significance of our celebration of democracy today should mean that we employ the broadmindedness and participatory notion of democracy in seeking solutions to them.

Atiku Abubakar, GCON

(Waziri Adamawa)

Former Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

EXCLUSIVE: Atiku appoints ex-Ogun governor, Gbenga Daniel, as DG presidential campaign:
 
Barring last-minute change, a former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, will announce the appointment of a former governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel to lead his presidential campaign in the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Mr Daniel had contested for the position of national chairman of the party in the last convention.

In a document obtained by DAILY NIGERIAN, which Mr Atiku personally signed, the ex-VP announced to members of his team the appointment of Mr Daniel, saying he is “a very positive and welcome addition” to his campaign.
“I am pleased to officially notify you of the appointment of His Excellency, Otunba Gbenga Daniel (“OGD” as he is popularly known), as the Director-General of the Atiku Campaign Organisation,” the document read in part.

“OGD is a former two-term governor of Ogun State, and a foremost engineer, businessman and astute politician. He has vast knowledge of the Nigerian political terrain and has a wide network of contacts and friends all over Nigeria, and these are a few of the assets he will be bringing to our campaign organisation.

“I am in no doubt OGD is a very positive and welcome addition to our campaign and I look forward to working with him as he leads over campaign to victory come February 2019.

“Going forward, OGD as the Director General, has overall responsibility for every aspect of the campaign. This includes mobilization and organizing (delegates and supporters), publicity and communication, finance and expenditure. I am in the process of setting up a separate fund raising committee which will work alongside and complement the campaign finance structure.

“The DG will also have overall responsibility for personnel, resourcing and campaign staffing and any other political or campaign related matters, that I give my delegated authority.
“From now on, my role will be limited to continuing my consultations with the relevant stakeholders in the PDP and in the political landscape as a whole. All campaign or other staff will report to the DG with immediate effect, and all campaign or political matters will also be referred to the DG.

“The DG will report to me directly.”
DAILY NIGERIAN gathered from inside sources that the former vice president will make “grand entry” into the political turf as soon as he publicly unveil Mr Daniel.

Politics / APC, FG Comence Total Clampdown On Opposition by Comrde3g(m): 12:50pm On May 19, 2018
May 19, 2018

PDP Press Conference

APC, FG Commence Total Clampdown on Opposition

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), after due consideration of the state of the nation, particularly the clampdown on opposition and dissenting voices, states as follows;

The PDP alerts all Nigerians that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its Federal Government have commenced a vicious and direct clampdown of major opposition leaders, perceived political opponents and individuals with interests and views that are divergent to those of their Presidential aspirant, perhaps, candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari, ahead of the 2019 general elections.

The clampdown is tailored to silence opposition as well as those who refused to join or support the APC in their unlawful design to emasculate other political parties, undermine our laws and electoral system, foist a one-party state and perpetuate their incompetent, dysfunctional and anti-people rule on our nation.

It is instructive to inform that our leaders, particularly, our National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, have been receiving threats since the PDP filed a petition to the United Nations and the Commonwealth of Nations, detailing documented threats to democracy by the APC and its Federal Government, abuse of human rights, mass killings, extra-judicial executions, persecution of opposition and unabated constitutional violations.

The PDP is aware of clandestine plots against key opposition leaders, particularly, members of the PDP National Working Committee, some dissenting members of the APC, members of the civil society, opinion leaders, journalists and bloggers, who refuse to succumb to intimidation and that such persons have already been listed and currently being trailed by agents of the state.

This has become manifest in the plot to rope members of “nPDP”, especially those in the National Assembly, into gun-running and murder charges just because they came out to voice their opposition to the APC government’s constitutional violations and executive brigandage in the running of our nation’s affairs.

The PDP wants Nigerians and the international community to know those to hold responsible should PDP leaders, as well as other members of the opposition start falling victims of untoward situations like assassinations, unexplained accidents, inexplicable "armed robbery” attacks, high profile abduction and sudden disappearances.

These include wanton arrest, manhandling and detention of opposition leaders on trumped-up charges, as well as illegal invasion of their homes and businesses by agents of the state.

Apart from allegations of corruption, there are also plots to clamp down and detain opposition leaders for charges bordering on treason and the PDP is also aware that some compromised judicial officers have been enlisted to give convictions and jail members of opposition as well as dissenting voices, on flimsy grounds.

Moreover, we know that the APC is fixated with the PDP because of the renewed popularity of our party among Nigerians, as the inevitable vehicle to return power to the people, restore democracy, national cohesion and safeguard our territorial integrity, come 2019.

The PDP’s response to all these plots is that we are not cowed. Nigeria belongs to all of us and our laws on political engagements are very clear. The PDP, as a party committed to democracy and freedom will continue to uphold the inalienable rights of our citizens to free speech, political association and to politically aspire to any position in the land, including the Presidency.

Our party, therefore, urges all Nigerians to be alert, united and remain resolute in their decision to collectively defend our democracy and its tenets, constitutionally guaranteed personal freedom and the rule of law in our nation.
