NYSCRe: NYSC Batch A Candidates, Have Call-up Letters Shown Up In Your School Yet? by comsoy(m): 3:32pm On Feb 27, 2013
braine: The call up letters have not even arrived at the student affairs unit yet, as at today in Unilag.

I hear that's the way its done every year; they give out the letters at the last minute to prevent intending corps members from trying to change or manipulate their appointed states.
Whatsup guy, you rep well joor! Great Akokite! Yea, was in school yesterday and was told by a reliable source that the letters have been received, but yet to be distributed. And that it would be distributed this week. Gbam!

@bizzle, I noticed, from your comments, that you're done with NYSC, which means (if my guess is right) you're either working presently or still seeking employment. Whichever you fall in these categories, would you be kind enough as to share your experience with us? Thanks anyway.

bizzle*:
if by fresh graduate u mean "pre-service" grads ..
maximize your 12 months service period, its a great window for filling in the gaps...practice and improve ur test-taking skills (gmat, gre, shl etc )take advantage of the "relevant" subsidised trainings and certifications offered to corp members. I regreted not doing this
Thanks, man, for this beautiful advice. It should serve as a guide with regard to what to expect during service years. Thanks a lot.

your comment might appear it would be appreciated.

Help that graduate out there!
Thanks.

the strong need to shoulder responsibilies, the need to meet expectations, and of course complexities issues. All of these and more (you would agree with me) are capable of weighing down the 'graduatehood' in a graduate except he or she heeds the good pieces of advice from sincere and experienced graduates.
Of course there might be doubts as to the impact of your contributions. But one thing is sure: 'Whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom shall see it.' In other words, no matter how little

May I begin by, first and foremost, saying THANK YOU to all those who visited this thread, even though no comment was made. This thread was indeed created with the genuine idea that fresh graduates might be helped with some sense of direction as well as a slice of motivation as might be rendered by their experienced counterparts - those already employed, for example.
Of utmost concern here are the numerous challenges faced by fresh graduates, most of which arise as a result of desperation for jobs,

Wow! This is very interesting. No go ever leave NL because of this. Experienced guys, more please!
Jobs/VacanciesAdvice To Fresh Graduates by comsoy(op):
Hi guys, I've surveyed NL and have gone through different rich and invaluable suggestions, helps, advice given out freely by well-meaning Nairalanders, especially to job seekers. For this reason, I think that much more could equally be given to fresh, recent graduates most of whom the stark reality of the labour market still eludes. Pieces of advice on how to write CVs, dos and don'ts that help in securing good jobs, job interview, job sites and other relevant info as required by a fresh graduate will be welcomed. Thanks.

Hi, I'm a student and I like editing. I don't know if you'd like to work with me. Tell me more about what you are working on and how you'll want me to contribute. Then, if it's what I'd want to do, I bet you wouldn't regret my involvement.

PoliticsRe: Breaking News! Pa Enahoro Is Dead! by comsoy(m): 3:33pm On Dec 17, 2010
According to Thomas Jefferson: "Only a life lived for others is worth living'' I hope we all (including our political leaders) learn from the legacy he stood and vehemently fought for before his inevitable sourjorn to the underworld. It's a reminder that we shall all be there one day, someday. Then I ask : what will we be remembered for when have gone? ADIEU, PA ENAHORO-NIGERIA WILL MISS YOU!
