GlitteringStar: It is true that the mistake is from them but the onus is on the applicant to ensure that his/her information is still accurate as at the day of submission. Note that if he should submit his application before he completes the three years work experience, they will calculate his points using just two years of work experience. A work experience of 2 years and 11 months will still give you points for two years only. With two years of work experience, his CRS score will be 450 which is less than 456 = Automatic refusal.
@Conebeam, ayaf tried. Kindly follow your heart. I wish you the best. You have really tried. Thank you for throwing so much light. I am so convinced I have to decline the ITA. Thank you. |

Thank you so much everyone. You all have been wonderful.
I will decline ITA and wait prayerfully for the next draw, hoping it comes below 450.
One last question, can I include my 3months experience without deleting the existing profile?
Thanks again. |

Thanks so much for the suggestions. I filled in correct details for the application, but it was rounded up as 3yrs. But in the real sense it's 33months. Which makes a score of 450 rather than 475. If I decline ITA alone I ll still have 475, which is meant to be 450.
Thank you all. |

GlitteringStar: Why do you want to create a new profile? Do you want to claim points for the three months work experience and can you get a work reference letter for it? If yes, then you can add it. Note that the work experience should also be under NOC A, B or 0. I feel I should create a new one incase the score doesn't come down. Pls can I send a PM to you? Thank you |

GlitteringStar: Of course they will. Yes, the best option for him is to decline the ITA. The next draw should be lower than 450 (though CIC is unpredictable these days).
Under section A11.2, an officer may not issue a visa to an applicant who did not or does not meet the Express Entry minimum entry criteria (MEC) or did not or does not possess the qualifications for which they received their CRS score at the time when the invitation to apply (ITA) was issued or the e-APR was received by IRCC.
Accordingly, officers should refuse an application under section A11.2 if it is determined that at the time of the ITA or e-APR, the applicant did not or does not meet the MEC, which includes the requirements of the program to which they were invited to apply or the applicant’s recalculated CRS score has fallen below that of the lowest-ranked candidate invited to apply in that round of invitations.
Cc: Conebeam Thank you Claire40 and GlitteringStar I will decline the ITA. But can I add the 3months experience I had before my current job while creating a new profile, so that it rounds up to 3yrs? Thank you. |

Claire40: it looks like you have 35 months. January 2016 was counted as a month, same as march 2018 then maybe they rounded up in your favour 3rd November 2014 to 2nd January 2016 - 15 months 27th April 2016 to 27th April 2017 - 13 months 1st August 2017 to march 2018 - 8 months Yes Claire40, exactly what they counted. To CIC I have 35months. Do you feel they will recount with days after AOR? Hope I am not raising issue where there is none. |

GlitteringStar: You have two options:
1. Try to delay submission until you complete your 3 years of work experience since your CRS score (after recalculating using two years work experience-450) is lower than the cut-off score for the last draw (456).
2. Decline the ITA and wait for the next draw.
Note: I suggest that you go with the second option because it will put your mind at rest. You are good to go if the next draw is lower than 450 (even if the system is still calculating 3 years for you).
By the way, try to go through your details again cos I still doubt that the system will calculate 2 years and 9 months of work experience as 3 years. CIC system calculates work experience on the basis of months and not days so it is possible that the system calculates 2 years and 11 months as 3 years but not 33 months. Thanks so much GlitteringStar and congrats on your PPR The dates includes: 3rd November 2014 to 2nd January 2016 27th April 2016 to 27th April 2017 1st August 2017 to date (my current job tho profile was submitted 6th March 2018) It's not up to 3yrs as a whole, I had another job from 22nd May 2017 to 28th July 2017, maybe I should pick option 2, Create a new profile and add that to my application. Thank you, I will still appreciate more input and suggestions from all gurus. |

Congratulations to all recent PPR recipients. This thread has been very resourceful. I was able to get my ECA for IRCC. Pls I need suggestions or clarifications. Before I created my EE profile, I had a score of 450 using 2years working experience. On creating my EE profile, score became 475, implying CIC calculated it using 3years, because only the month and year was requested in work history. I got an ITA in the last draw with this score i.e 475, and I decided to make the calculation myself using the dates that will be stated in my reference letters, it adds up to 33months including 14months internship, 12months Nysc and 7months on my current job (started Aug 2017). Will this be an issue? I read that CIC considers 30hrs/week for 12months okay for a full year which is 1560hrs. But I used 40hrs/week.
Suggestions will be appreciated, as I need to put my mind at rest before I proceed. Thank you. |

40manlappy: You may have to "upgrade" your current ECA report to one that is acceptable for EE application since the previous one was for study permit. Get in touch with WES via all available means e.g. their website and Twitter handle @WESCanada. Thank you so much. I will do just that. |

Good evening house, I have been a silent member of this thread. This thread has been so helpful. I want to appreciate everyone that has contributed one way or the other by providing numerous information, links, materials, advice and all. God bless you all. It will end in praise for everyone.
I want to find out if I can use the same WES evaluation I used for my study permit application last year for EE application. Will it be necessary to order duplicate copy for IRCC?
Thanks all. |
