Life is like bet9ja!

All the options you need to cash out big is staring at you in the face, all you need is the right betting mindset to win, but hence you are not a superhuman, you may not be able to decipher the future as to predict correctly every game.

So that's how Life throws to our face so many options to choose from too.

Now how do you choose right !

Look at this...

Like Bet9ja, the odds can be misleading and tempting, so are the odds of Life.

Naturally, the odds for failure is higher(over 3.5) as compared to the odd for success which is low(under 0.5).

Some games are very fruitless and unpredictable avoid them!

Just as some careers are too. You have to pick the odds that you can relate with comfortable if you want to win the bet of life.

What you put into bet9ja is almost what you get out, you stake big, you get the millions, you stake small and you get peanuts *SMH*.

Imagine this, you place a bet of 1.5 odd with #100 you rarely get above #150 from it. But if you place that same bet of 1.5 odd with #100k you are likely to get an alert that will freeze your phone.

So practically speaking, what you put into life is what you get out, you put in laziness you get laziness back in 100 folds, so it is with SMART WORK.

Just as the possibility of you losing a game so quickly when you over load your slip. That how life can be when you carry on so many careers, the odd for gaining mastery in one act becomes relatively very low (under 0.5).

Just as bet9ja preaches 18+ for participation, you have to be very matured in deciding a career for yourself knowing it's a life long journey.

So my advice, you have to employ every skill in picking the best odds and place it with all you've got, so you can smile to the bank of life and cash out a great future.

Fashion / Re: ***modeling Agencies Stop Using Our Girls*** by Coneighbour(m): 7:26pm On Nov 24, 2017
Missnande:
I believe you're mixing up modelling agencies with pageantries, same thing with their functions. You have a strong point, but your facts are jumbled. My guess is you don't fully understand the world you're castigating.

Please educate us.
Fashion / ***modeling Agencies Stop Using Our Girls*** by Coneighbour(m): 12:12pm On Nov 23, 2017
I get so sick receiving dm's and calls telling me to vote for one face of Ogoni garri, one miss Beauty dis or one Africa Queen of something something and all those gibberish.

What has come over our girl's ?
Every body wants to be a Queen or
Princess of one thing or the other.

And the sad part is, most of these girls have not taken time to ask themselves questions.

1. Do I have the aptitude for this?

2. Am I willing to be a model for the rest of my life?

4. Am I willing to go through my life watching what I consume(eat/drink)?

5. Will the significant others in my life be proud of me as a model ?

Most of them I'm very sure lacks the basic characteristics of being called a model, no height, no physique, no nothing needed to walk on the run way.

**hope I'm not being too harsh ni ?**

These agencies be selling forms for outrageous amounts, and of course our girls would go under ground to get this forms bought.

Now it's a yardstick that every slim girl with one kind small straight bow leg is automatically fit to become a model. Chai!

Imagine how myopic our girls/ ladies have become?

I remembered when a course mate got me involved in this modeling gamble. We had to go from class to class, street to street with my phone and her laptop begging people to log on Facebook and vote for her. Yet, she no even win any chikini thing.

I just wasted megabytes and strength for nothing. Kai!

Modeling agencies now use girls like toys, giving them unimaginable task to accomplish. Some of the few I have heard are,

* You must sell tickets worth 300k and above.

* You must get all the traditional attires of all the cultures in Nigeria.

* You must be in camp 2 weeks before the program proper.

* You must get 1k likes on your pics to qualify for the final round, then the person with the highest likes wins the show.

And most times, when their plans of who will Win isn't working out, they disqualify eligible models so the plot will be legit **Scammers.com**

And these girls are not aware that these agencies are using them to build their fan base online that they will use for subsequent businesses.

Miss model, questions you should ask yourself are, how many modeling agencies have stood the test of time and all your friends that have engaged in one modeling deal or the other, where are they today?

Modeling agencies are springing up everyday like the price of fuel in Nigeria. But wait oooo, have you noticed, the relatively constant supply of fuel with no scarcity in Nigeria? **YEY.... UP NEPA** **wink**

But that by the way...

I've also heard cases were these girls are used as toys in the hands of modeling agencies in collaboration with our dear politicians.

And one funny part is, even the up coming models are aware of these evils that are been perpetrated in the modeling industry, yet they still fall prey to fame which is clearly a mirage.

These girls are brain washed into going the extra miles to do these things.

I know girls that can't afford 10k on their own, but when given a task to remit 300k from ticket sales( Now how is that possible) but funny enough, they magically do it, indeed the strength of a woman is real.

My director would always say, "Hunting a talent is not enough, but what would you do after that" ?

Eat them?

This one is for all them TV and reality show, how many winners of these tv shows have actually broken through after winning ?
We just hunt these talents, and leave them stranded..

But notwithstanding, we've had relatively very few population of models succeed in the modeling industry in this part of the world.

I can only remember Agbani Derego at this point.

For heavens sake, their are more meaningful things to involve in, than waste your precious time in the hands of this agencies playing kalo-kalo with your life.

And on the other hand, even after winning the pageantry, what next?

Open one foundation, to help one less privilege home or orphanage center and when your tenure elapse, the foundation dies.

The funniest part is everyone of them have the same vision in administration. Immediately they win Miss one thing, they automatically become a humanitarian which they weren't born for.

Sha...... Maybe it's a sort of side hustle for some people at least we've seen cases where a model is given a Car price, money and a vacation trip to Dubai and A first class student is given a cup/mug. #UniLagihail.

And it's so glaring that one can easily predict the winners of these pageantry show, because the one who is willing to pay the price either physically or otherwise goes home with the crown.

My young aspiring model, if you are not convinced about staying through to modeling, please invest your life in something more profitable.

You are too special to be toyed with by this dubious Modeling agencies..

Note: Some have what it takes to be a model that's true, but majority are not fit to stand at the corridor of anything called modeling. ** oya waka**

**With due respect**

Share to those who are into modeling but you and i know they do not have what it takes. **Shaking my kidney**

Jobs/Vacancies / ===========================your Social Media Profile Is Better Than Your CV.==== by Coneighbour(m): 12:56pm On Nov 04, 2017
I've edited this article a thousand times, I feel like discarding it but lemme take this risk, I hope it's worth it..

Social media use to be a pleasure park in the last few years, but presently it's become a large industry, and it has become an integral part of our daily lives.

often times we are overwhelmed by the euphoria of socialization, based on the idea we once had about Social media in the past, but truth be told, curiosity has made us demand more from her.

The 21st century curriculum vitae is our social media handle. Hope you ain't surprised, why you haven't gotten that dream job yet..

We have categories of social media users, they include

1. Business minded people
2. Information/news seekers
3. Friendship/chatting/fun
4. Religious/ entertainment
5. Social media observers.

Well, I fall under group 5. We've been very active online since the beginning of (social media) time but do not shout, you can call us social media introverts.

From a very long time, I've known the social media is a double edged sword, that if handled properly will propel you to that height of possibilities and if the opposite is your case, it may propel you to somewhere below what you wouldn't wish for your enemies.

Imagine how success stories tears the internet and how scandals set the internet ablaze.

The internet is indeed an egg (fragile) .

Most of us may think the social media is a place to express ourselves, chill with friends, make comments and exhibit our social lives.

But that ideology died a while ago,

it is believed that your profile speaks volumes about you.

This is how you know, imagine how many people's profiles your anonymously view everyday (hope you won't spy my profile after reading this *Smile*), and as much profile you view, the tendency of summarizing people's personalities from their profiles isn't far fetched.

If you are guilty of the above like me just be rest assured people snoop into your profile too on a stead.

I wish Facebook provides a visitors counter( an idea for Facebook),to check how many persons spy your profile daily, you would be amazed who is checking you out.

**** Imagine Dangote himself checking you out on Twitter, some people will argue that he wouldn't have such time, but.......... that's a gist for another day. ****

In present day, it has become a norm in most multinational firms, Embassies and other government offices to peruse your profile to gain more info about you.

Your CV is what you tell the company about yourself but your Social media profile is what the World sees about you.

Don't be deceived, as part of their criteria for selection, your name is been googled and all your social media platforms are been checked and scrutinized.

This is because, if you are comfortable commenting, liking, sharing and uploading what you've uploaded in your profile so far with an average of 500-2k friends , then their are possibilities that, that is the real you.

Most persons will argue about this point, because they think social media operates on extreme rules but think through it..

See, You are responsible for what ever appears on your profile.

Remember this: the internet is a virtual World.

Recommendations and Advice.

1. Setup your privacy settings to restrict certain activities on your profile from others.

2. Scan your profile and see if it matches the live you are projecting.

3. Delete things that do not conform to your general ideology.

4. Expunge irrelevant, pics, comments and tags.

5. When updating status, remember that the whole world sees it.

Note: This is not a complete set of rules to follow in your social media activities, but it's intended to guild and build a branded ONLINE Reputation for you.

"The internet never forgets."

Health / EYE Care 101 by Coneighbour(m): 12:46pm On Nov 04, 2017
Something I discovered some months back that has improved my life.

If you are in a habit of using your phone in the dark especially few minutes before going to bed or early in the morning before leaving your bed, which I'm sure you do.

Me too I'm guilty of the above statement (**Cry**) or maybe was...

And if you are peculiar with this experience, gazing into your phone till it starts raining in your eyes(teary substance emanating).

Then you have to take this serious.

====Tips to Protect your eyes Against Screen Lights.====

1. Always reduce your phone/Laptop screen brightness to the barest.

** The real jeck **
2. Use a sunshade or normal glasses, yes you heard me right, normal eye glasses.

It doesn't have to be medicated and you mustn't have any visual impairment.

The glasses helps to shade the light rays emanating from your phone to entering your eyes..

These light rays could be detrimental to your eyes.

Alternatively, Use a secondary light other than your phone/Laptop to distract the eye focus from your phone to the secondary lighting.

I know this may sound very awkward and a bit crazy, wearing a shade at night, but I promise you, your eyes will thank you later.

I know how teary and itchy my eyes feel when ever I'm working on the screen without my shades on, especially at night. And how I face sleep deprivation because of this.

I use to know of a dark screen guard those days, do not know if they still exist.

Renounced Opticians have made research on the effects of Screen lights on the Human eyes. And the report isn't tasteful at all.

While some eye defects are heredity, the others may be caused by the second you " YOUR PHONE".

A sellable idea is embedded in this article, if you can see it, then you have a 22nd century mind.

I need investors oooo ooo to harness this idea.. **smile**

Science/Technology / :::the Internet Will Be History Someday::: by Coneighbour(m): 1:13pm On Oct 28, 2017
:::The Internet Will be History Someday:::

Note: If you get shocked after reading this article, please know your mind is relatively small or you haven't gone into the realm of mental freedom were you can stretch your mind beyond its elastic point.

This may sound very abstract, ofcourse most things we see today started up as fiction, but anyways Lemme drop it like it's hot..

50 years ago, nobody envisaged the internet, traditional technology was creeping and only a few saw today.

Fast forward, few years later, the internet landed like the big bang, and wow we all are loving it. The internet/technology not only promises great opportunities but has made humans to leverage on it for her personal gratification.

But this is the shocking part....

WHAT WILL REPLACE INTERNET/TECHNOLOGY?

I understand how you feel right now, this sounds very outta place and insignificant, those were our forefathers thought when Michael Faraday, Isaac Newton and other inventors started.

You may not be able to answer this now, but trust me the next generation will be faced with this challenge. The previous generation provided technology/internet for us, what are we gonna provide for the next generation?

Everything that has beginning has an end, we are gradually consuming the internet just as we did to our oil and mineral resources, if natural resources can run dry, then imagine manmade (internet) inventions.

The 22nd century is coming with a lot of questions, challenges and more questions that we haven't been able to fix in this 21st century.

I'm gonna leave you with this, What are we gonna leverage on when we've consumed the internet totally?
