Phones / Airtel Will Not Kill Me by constellation: 6:42pm On Nov 30, 2015
CHAI AIRTEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But what did I do to this people? Somebody please tell me.
After lectures I met my roommate crying to MTN customer care how her #107 somebody just sent her was wiped.
What did the people say?

Her money was deducted for MTN play subscription. Subscription she never did.

I laughed at her oo well. Until I squeezed my scarce #300 to do AIRTEL opera mini sub. Lo and behold before I could even type the *885*1# #150 naira was deducted.

I say aanh ah, did I borrow money? Not at all. I call customer care, what did they tell me? Airtel caller tune. #100 for access fee #50 for the tune.

People helep me see this wayo robbery of unavailable funds. What concern me with caller tune when my Airtel sim is for browsing!

Chei! Chei! Chei!

This network providers think they are wise. Stealing money in the name of subscriptions never made by unsuspecting customers.

This is not the first time I strongly suspect it will not be the last.

I suggest NCC enforce a maximum 2 day money back guarantee for this fake subscriptions. So that if your money is deducted for what you did not even subscribe, once you stop it you get a refund.

Haba! It is three much o. With that 2 day guarantee let me see how MTN and AIRTEL will go about putting people in things they did not enter. If you want subscribers wait let them look for the code first, don't make it that people unknowingly subscribe to what they don't even need just by switching on their phones!!

Where will I now get the remaining #150

The tongue is one powerful organ of the body. And you couldn’t even tell by the size of it. As small as it is it saved one thief on the cross and damned the other, lost Queen Vashti a crown, led Joseph to a pit and made me lose friends. To my lasting shame. Words are never just words. Remember God spoke the earth into existence.

But before I get into all that I want to talk boys. Precisely boys who curse, swear, or live and breathe profanities. Why do they feel the need to express themselves in vulgarities? Personally I find it;

JUVENILE- yes it’s childish to spout nonsense just to show you learned some big words and can deliver them at will.
DISRESPECTFUL- given that most curse or swear words take God’s name in vain, are sexually oriented, often gender biased, and relating to waste elimination.

UNORIGINAL- Fake! Because we borrowed the English Language doesn’t mean we have to borrow everything else. Letting movies and music dictate how you speak and what you say is taking it too far. And there’s nothing tough guy about vomiting swear words here and there.
CLASSLESS- gutter language should be left in the gutter don’t you think. It’s embarrassing for someone’s choice language to be that which deliberately shocks and offends.
LIMITING- often the argument is that’s the best way to express oneself at the time. Well too bad. The filth must be coming from the inside. Seriously though if the English vocabulary is suddenly exhaustive for your expressions why not delve into your dialect. After all there are French and Spanish words in the dictionary.

Guys who feel the need to be offensive to my tender sensibilities, I steer clear of. I steer clear of girls who favor this unwarranted vocabulary too. I really see no need for it. But maybe you do. Maybe you see nothing wrong there. In Matthew 12:37 Jesus says we will account for every careless word we speak.

A while back being a rap girl with a preference for Ja Rule, Eminem, Tupac and DMX, I unconsciously found myself slipping into swear speak. And it came so easily into my conversations I was shocked. It was a struggle trying to keep myself from saying those words I’d learned, because suddenly they were the best fit for my sentences. Luckily for me the wake-up call came before I was hooked.

However I am still guilty of a lot more than swearing or cursing. In researching for this post, I got to know more about unwholesome talk(2 Tim 2:16), quarrelling(2 Tim 2:14), lying tongue(Zephaniah 3:13), uncontrolled tongue(James 1:26), and foolish arguments(2 Tim 2:23).
So it’s not just foul language that is unbecoming of us, empty words, ungodly chatter, malicious words, slander, and gossiping are right there too. Gossiping  is a personal favourite of mine. It’s time gisting meant more than discussing someone else negatively.

A form of profanities we may be ignorant of are minced oaths and general expressions with God in them used inappropriately. Have you ever said bloody, blimey, by jove, drat, darn/damn, gee, jeez, freaking, fig, Jesus wept, gosh, heck, my God, God almighty, Christ’s sakes and so on. These are veiled forms of cursing and swearing. Simply whitewashing.
James says no man can tame the tongue. So true. But if we ask of God His grace, I am certain this is beatable and controllable. If that is what we want of course.

We have not and will never be saved by our deeds. It is grace that functions on our behalf. Having been saved, we are called to be set apart, perfecting holiness out of reverence for our God.
Stop the cursing. It edifies not. Talking about God’s wondrous works does. Death and life are in the power of your tongue, imagine the possibilities, and this is what you choose?

Education / Federal University Of Agriculture Makurdi Is Now Mtn Drunk! by constellation: 8:26am On Nov 26, 2015
KUDOS TO MTN!!!

A while back I complained bitterly on this platform about the poor performance of MTN network service in the University of Agriculture Makurdi and its vicinities.

And Just like Jesus taught gratitude with the story of the 10 lepers, I have come back to say Thank You MTN!

The network signal now is unbelievable and in all parts of the school for that matter! North core, South Core, Middle Core and Animal Farm are saturated with the MTN network.

I can't begin to tell you what a relief this is. It turns out there's a mast in the village community near the school. We can now call and be called. No more missing lectures or tests except you have bad friends. Most importantly you can now use your MTN data subscription to browse!

I hope this thank you message gets to MTN. It's good to appreciate things too not just to criticize them.
Our days of climbing trees to search for network, going out of our rooms to make calls, and general frustration with our phones are Over.

AIRTEL network service signal has always been on par. ETISALAT and Glo could do with more work.

The students of the University of Agriculture Makurdi appreciate this development. What a nice way to be welcomed back for the new semester.

We hope for affordable Student Data plans next!
Phones / International Calls by constellation: 11:39am On Mar 07, 2015
So because my friends have gone abroad I am destined to never speak to them again?
It's just so irritating the way this network providers continue to kill relationships. Communication is key in every and any relationship. Must I exhaust my entire pocket money on just 1 call to China. Kenya which is in Africa is even worse. Please I need a cheap international call rate for my friends and family. Help this poor girl call her boyfriend, bestfriend, anld cousin every week. MTN,GLO,AIRTEL,ETISALAT, are you listening? You could customise it just for me, you know, out of the goodness of your heart. I am sure every Nigerian has someone outside the country to call. It will be nice if you allowed we the poor to afford this too. What do you think of a flatrate of N3.5/minute? In any case my boyfriend's birthday is next week i need an affordable 1 hour. Thank you. Abi my fellow Naijarians, I lie?
Education / Federal University Of Agriculture Makurdi Without Network Service. by constellation: 10:57am On Nov 07, 2014
A University Without Mobile Network.

This is my ardent appeal to all the network providers out there-Glo, Airtel, Etisalat, Mtn.
I am calling your attention to this apalling state of affairs-the disappearance of network signals the moment you step foot on campus. There are over 10,000 students in Uniagric. That is over 10,000 'disabled' students. You can't call a friend when there's a surprise test, you can't find out about that fixed lecture, can't browse that hard assignment, can't call home or friends far and near. You can't receive calls from outside school, you can't do a lot of things. The frustrating thing is that this 'can'ts' occur more times in a week than the 'cans'. What kind of a network is that. Mtn is the worst Airtel, Etisalat and Glo are no better. The last network to get this anomaly fixed would experience a massive exodus, I promise you.

Our school may be interiorly located but it's still a university and we are still your customers. Over 10,000 customers. The fact that we are far form town shouldn't deprive us of cellphone service. Is it too much trouble to mount service masts that are closer and can give us better coverage?

Haba!!! Quit ripping us off and Free us from Crappy network service!!!
