Buhari's policy to ban the importation of certain items will eventually be the game changer that will add the right growths in our economy. The next thing the government should do is to aggressively enforce the executive order number five which prohibits the government agencies from patronizing foreign goods and services that are provided locally. |
I wonder why a governor like this man was not given chance from 1999 to govern borno state. May be if that had happened, we could not have had boko haram. |
Many Nigerians are seriously disturbed that during the election campaigns, some political parties and their candidates especially PDP and Atiku made restructuring and true federalim their major campaign message. Some youths and adults cheaply bought the idea and believed those political messengers. Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, Afenifere and many other observers said they were following Atiku mainly because of that message of restructuring. Edwin Clerk and other PDP sympartizers from the Niger Delta followed suit, stressing the need for resources control by each federating units in the country. Our worries as patriotic Nigerians stems from the fact that since president buhari who did not make noise about it, has just tested the water very small, by asking the states governors to allow the lowest federating units, that is the local government to control their own resources, all the governors (APC and PDP inclusive) petitioned the president giving many constitutional and otherwise reasons why the president must not dare talk about that. For weeks now since this issue has been making round, Atiku, PDP, Ohaneze, Afenifere, Edwin Clerk and many others who tried to deceive other Nigerians on why they were backing Atiku have all been looking the other side. I thought that by now, those people and other self acclaimed activists would have lend their voices very loud in support of this venture they once told us they wanted, even if it is not yet 100%. I knew that none of them believed or meant what they were saying. It was simply another political season and it must be followed with anything that can make them win at all cost. We were shouting, telling people especially the youths never to believe what they were being told, but Some people forgot what we suffered in the past in the hands of PDP and Atiku. They called us names especially we from the South East, we were asked why we were vehemently against their course. All their bad treatment to us was because, they forgot that when you see mother's hen crying and looking at the up, you don't need to ask whether the hawk has devoured the chicken. |
Psady:So the project should not be commissioned simply because you anticipate population explosion in the school in future? That means government should never commission any other project in this country because Nigerian population will definitely get bigger in future whereby no project commissioned today will be able to serve everybody. Let's be careful with our "I too know syndrome" because it's making some of us sound like idiots. |
Salam19:Don't mind the loud mouthed olodo. He is merely angry that buhari has such a good project to commission. Touch him tomorrow he will ask you to name one project buhari has delivered. So We know them as enemies of the country who cry when good news like this comes up, but rejoice when bad things happen. |
seguno2:Truth hurts my brother. But it must be told. PDP and Obasanjo especially wasted our 16 good years. just as he said, you can imagine if we had started anything meaningful in the power sector since that time, we would have been far better developed. I am convinced that before the close of buhari's second term almost all the federal institutions in the country would have sufficient power to use. |
Acjohn:Bad guy, you know the game. ![]() |
Not exactly where we should be and start feeling the impact of the present government policies. It is however a positive growth which shows that there is a rallying efforts from the government to sustain the growth trajectory that brought us out of recession. My happiness is that any growth recorded now shows real growths in nominal terms than just rebasing the economy as is being touted by the government. |
mrvitalis:This your foolishness is what has set the Igbos back, such that we are no longer remembered when serious political discourse is going on. Jonathan built a lot to win the North, did he eventually win the North when he lost the election? If I ask you now what he built for the North, you will mention Amajiri schools that even you can't mention the locations of the schools. As if the North never had any school at all except for the ones built by your Jonathan. Apc is treating Igbos like fools you say? Please what exactly did your darling PDP did for Igbos for about 20 years since the Igbos embraced the party like a religion. Highest you will say appointment to juicy ministries. Then I ask, how did those appointments affect the lives of Igbos positively? Nothing order than dust and splashed water poured on your cheap clothes by expensive cars of those good for nothing ministers. But now I can boast of good roads being built in every part of Igbo land today by the same APC government headed by the man you like to hate. Second Niger bridge is receiving attention that your PDP only made a paper work for years. I am aware that Buhari and his Apc government gave N20 billion to Ebonyi and Anambara states to revolutionize Agriculture in the region, I am yet to see what those governors did with the money to better Agriculture. Do I need to tell you that none of those Governors is APC but PDP and APGA? So my brother whether you agree or not, Buhari and APC has done far better in 4 years for Igbos and Nigeria as a whole than what PDP did in 16 years and above. That is why even the Niger Delta where Jonathan hails from has since moved on. All the states in the region are being ruled by PDP since that years except Edo, but you could see the voting pattern of the region. It's divided showing they are no longer dwelling on the past. But We have remained with hatred in our heart ever since. And it will certainly not help us. |
Many of us are aware of this obvious facts. Unfortunately, everybody focus on the president as the problem of the country without questioning our governors, senators, house of representatives, ministers, local government chairmen etc who are even closer to us on the issue of governance. Those people you mentioned and others not mentioned like Directors, permenent secretaries, and many of us in our various desks handling one unit or the other are the real problems of the country. |
How much? |
Good day. How much can afford the battery and other fittings to put it to use. |
hisexcellency34:Because buhari disappointed all you ethnic and religious champions by reappointing this man your cries has refused to stop. |
MufasaRebirth:Hypocrit. Because he identified with his people and participated in their traditional feast? Tomorrow you will be watching chelsea, man u, Arsenal and co and you will be opening your dirty teaths like a lonely Mad man. Without reasoning that the football and other white man entertaiment you are promoting is their own culture. But look at how you detest your own. |
Congratulations. May God be praised. |
odomanis:Can you teach us please. let me understand if the meaning is different from capturing past economic activities that has not been captured in a country's data base then you change the old base year to the most recent for the purpose of computing constant price estimates. prof. I am waiting. |
At least it's better than playing for Arsenal year in year out without winning anything. |
NaijaRoyalty:What is your yardstick or is it because he is of APC? otherwise, why will you rate Ikpeazu of Abia state ahead of those two governors you mentioned in terms of performance? |
This is one of the genuine ways of growing the economy, by additions and not just by rebasing. |
He has tried. but When I look back and discovered that Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state has since last year completed three flyovers each of them bigger than what I am seeing here, I say Ambode could have done better considering the meager resources of Ebonyi state when compared to that of Lagos. |
My people and our usual character assassination syndrome. Later we start searching for our enemies from the North. |
EVILFOREST:Only if you know the peanuts Nurses earn as salaries. about 90% of the hospitals in Nigeria pay them an amount that is not up to Doctors call duty allowance as salaries. Talking about opportunities outside Nigeria, how many of such opportunities exist? At least more than 90% of nurses who want to travel to such countries have not gotten the job. So it's not like the job is littered everywhere. So I Would advise her to go for Pharmacy because of its diverse opportunities. Nurses are only stereotyped in giving care to sick patients. That's why you could easily see other professionals including the pharmacists venturing into other practices like business, politics, banking etc. But it's like days dreaming and a very tall order to see a nurse outside nursing practice. Even with the poor pay as salaries which leaves them always agonizing. |
Buhari really disappointed ethnic jingoists over the reappointment of Emefiele. |
tehmih306:Yes, you can say that again. At least I listened to Donald Trump's speech when he met with buhari and he was full of commendations of buhari's personality and integrity. Even when British prime minister Brown referred to African leaders as corrupt, other world leaders there intercepted him and said that this one (Buhari) is an exception. But to quench your appetite for bad news against buhari and Nigeria, a newspaper in America gossiped about Trump calling buahri a lifeless person, you people jumped and started jubilating. If not people like you who jubilate over bad news in your country, tell me any sane person that is in the same league with you. |
And we were being told all manner of lies since. I have said it that social media has become worse than terrorists in this country. |
Yet tomorrow more will still go into this. may God forgive us. |
If they will hear. |
Foreign countries always remind us what a quality leader we have in buhari. |
ProudBoy:Insider reporting. |
Deathisfree:It's very easy na. If no be Atiku na who else? |
