The Kwara South Youth Congress (KSYC) has intensified its ongoing appeal to Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, regarding significant infrastructure deficiencies that persist across the state. In a recent press statement issued to journalists in Ilorin by their Publicity Secretary, Adejare Bashir, the group raised serious concerns about the deteriorating state of infrastructure in Offa Local Government Area. This town is notable for its rich historical significance and plays a vital role in the fabric of Kwara’s development. Bashir articulated the group’s plea, stating, "We are earnestly urging the Governor of Kwara State to prioritize the development of Offa. This town has not only contributed significantly to his political rise as the governor but also holds the distinction of being the second-largest city in Kwara, following Ilorin. Offa is home to numerous national and state institutions; however, it is disheartening to see that, despite its strategic importance, the town is grappling with a lack of inclusivity and progressive development, particularly concerning its road infrastructure." He emphasized that the roads in Offa are not only essential for daily commuting but also for the overall economic growth and connectivity of the region. The KSYC believes that attention to these infrastructure issues is crucial for fostering a more equitable environment within Kwara State and ensuring that all towns, especially those with historical and economic significance like Offa, receive the developmental support they need. During our visit to Offa, we found that the town is rapidly losing its former vibrancy and charm. The Offa General Hospital, which once served as a critical healthcare center for various communities in the area, has fallen into disrepair and inefficiency. A significant shortage of medical staff has plagued the hospital, and the condition of its structures and medical facilities has significantly deteriorated. The quality of medical care provided there is distressingly inadequate, leaving residents in need of vital health services with little recourse. It is disheartening that, despite Offa's potential and presence on the global map, a staggering 80 percent of its roads are in a state of disrepair. The community, which has shown considerable support for Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has only seen the completion of one major road project: the over 2-kilometer-long Amuyo Road. Unfortunately, the situation with Rondo Road has been particularly disappointing; what was once a promising infrastructure project has become an emblem of neglect. This less-than-2-kilometer stretch of road has languished unfinished for over three years, highlighting the urgent need for attention and action to restore the town's infrastructure and essential services. "While we appreciate the government intervention on the ongoing construction of General to Osunte junction and the comprehensive renovation of Popo road, we equally appeal to the Kwara state government to fast track the completion of this roads before the raining season, it will not only serve the users, it will promote business in the axis. Kwara South Youth Congress also appeals to the government to consider the renovation of Adesoye College- Igosun road, apart from the fact that the road serves many residents, it also leads to various towns like Igosun and others in Oyun LG, we appeal to Kwara State to safe the people of this communities for daily stress, Bashir said. The statement further emphasized the pressing electricity challenges faced by the city of Offa, noting its significant economic potential. It pointed out that the lack of functional transformers in key areas has severely hindered economic activities, with many transformers either nonexistent or damaged. This shortcoming has resulted in frequent power outages, which disrupt local businesses and impede growth. The statement stressed that citizens have a rightful expectation to receive the benefits of democracy, as guaranteed by the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. In conclusion, it called for urgent action to address these electricity issues to foster economic development and improve the quality of life for the residents of Offa. |
The MOK You Don't Know By Temitope Muhideen (Convydence) Leonard I. Sweet is a notable American theologian, semiotician, church historian, pastor, and author, whose prolific writing has inspired many. In his 2014 book titled "From Tablet to Table," Sweet shares insights on the nature of the future. On page 28, in chapter 4, paragraph three, he wrote, "The future is not something we enter. The future is something we create." Sweet elaborates on this idea by urging individuals to contribute meaningfully to their environment, regardless of their social or economic status. He believes that everyone, whether rich or poor, has a role to play in crafting a better future, and creating communities that are worth living in. Away from leonard, the subject of this article is a young man born in the year 1986 in Offa, an inspiration to all who seek a purposeful amd impactful life, a son of a mechanic who rises from zero to hero, a man who find solace in uplifting the underprivileged, Q.S Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode the founder of MOK Foundation and Principal Partner at Luxiar Construction Limited. MOK's journey from obscurity to prominence epitomizes the classic rags-to-riches story. Despite his humble beginnings, he has found profound meaning in uplifting the underprivileged and has made it his life's mission. As the founder of the MOK Foundation and Principal Partner at Luxiar Construction Limited, he has dedicated his efforts to making a difference in his community. Fondly referred to as "MOK" by his admirers, Kayode’s philanthropic spirit was not a mere coincidence; rather, it was a calling he embraced long before his financial success. As an admirer who has closely followed his journey, I have encountered numerous anecdotes from those who knew him before he rose to fame. Friends from his secondary school days, along with colleagues and acquaintances from his earlier work experiences, consistently describe him as a person of great generosity and kindness. One particularly moving story comes from an elderly man who worked with MOK during his days as a sales representative for a company supplying building blocks. He recalls, "What amazed me about him was his unwavering humility. His approach to challenges was remarkably mature for his age. Often, when clients would fail to pay him in full, he would cover the remaining amount from his own pocket." This unselfish act, according to the elderly man, was a clear indication that Kayode was destined for greatness. At different tiles in the last one year, I have had the privilege of serving as a crucial link between the numerous beneficiaries of his extraordinary generosity. Time and again, I find myself awestruck by his unwavering commitment to helping those in need, even when he has no personal connection to them. He often shares a reflective thought that reveals his humility: "I am the son of a mechanic; I never imagined I would be rich." It's a reflection on the journey he has taken and his gratitude for the success he has achieved against all odds. The MOK Foundation, which he established, is a testament to his vision and dedication. It is a well-respected organization that has become a hallmark of effective poverty alleviation programs. Through this foundation, he has initiated various educational projects that provide scholarships and learning materials to underprivileged students, ensuring that education is accessible to all. Additionally, his commitment to health support has led to the organization of medical outreach programs, providing essential healthcare services and resources to underserved communities. Furthermore, his foundation plays a significant role in community development, launching initiatives that empower local populations to build sustainable livelihoods. However, what sets him apart even more is his determination to create opportunities for wealth creation among his friends and acquaintances. He actively encourages collaboration and mutual growth rather than fostering competition. He believes that by uplifting those around him, the community as a whole can thrive. As a visionary leader, he continues to seek innovative ways to invest in people's potential, particularly among the youth, who he sees as the future of our society. His approach is marked by genuine selflessness; he invests his time, resources, and energy without ever asking for anything in return, illustrating a profound commitment to the betterment of others. It is widely acknowledged that people aspire to connect themselves with greatness. Despite never having registered with a political party or campaigned for a political office throughout his life, he has garnered the interest and admiration of politicians from both local and international spheres. These politicians, recognizing his influence and the respect he commands, have consistently sought his endorsement and involvement in their political endeavors. However, he remains resolute in his belief that politics should be a secondary pursuit. For him, the primary focus has always been on fostering sustainable change within his immediate community. His passion lies in transforming the lives of those around him, believing that meaningful impact can occur outside the confines of political structures. He dedicates his time and resources to various initiatives that uplift and empower individuals, demonstrating a profound commitment to social betterment of the ordinary. MOK approaches life with a perspective shaped by patience and an acute sense of timing, understanding that every situation has its own rhythm. This belief allows him to embrace opportunities as they arise, rather than forcing himself into a role that doesn’t align with his current vision. While he does not dismiss the possibility of engaging in politics at some point in the future, he prioritizes his current capacity for influence—helping others and initiating positive change—over seeking political office. This conviction reflects his understanding that one can significantly impact society and enhance lives without holding an official political position, greatness is a universal language. Oyun LG Roads, Schools Require Urgent Attention, KSYC Appeals to KWSG The Kwara South Youth Congress (KSYC) has issued a heartfelt appeal to Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, urging him to take immediate action to address the deteriorating infrastructures in over seven towns within the Oyun Local Government Area. This call for action was articulated by the group's Publicity Secretary, Adejare Bashir, during a recent on-the-ground assessment of communities such as Ira, Ijagbo, Ilemonna, Igbona, Ipe, Igosun, Ojoku, Ikotun, and Inaja Alaro, among others. In a statement made available to the media, Bashir expressed gratitude to the Kwara State Government (KWSG) for its ongoing road rehabilitation efforts in the state, particularly in the capital, but emphasized the urgent need for similar attention to be directed towards the towns in Oyun Local Government. He lamented that after 34 years since the local government was established, many of the roads connecting these communities are in a deplorable state. "It's unfortunate that 60 percent of the roads linking these towns are in disrepair, and the infrastructure of primary and secondary schools in many areas leaves much to be desired," Bashir stated. Highlighting the critical situation, he pointed to the town of Inaja Alaro, which is located near Irra. The road connecting this community to Osogbo in Osun State has fallen into severe disrepair, once serving as a vital thoroughfare but now hardly resembling its former state. Bashir noted that neighboring towns, such as Inaja Maliki, have been entirely without electricity throughout their existence, significantly affecting the quality of life for residents. He added that living conditions in these communities are exceedingly challenging. While the KSYC acknowledges and appreciates the collaboration between BUA and KWSG in facilitating the 49-kilometer road project linking Eyenkorin-Afon-Ojoku-Offa-Odo Otin, they expressed concern that the abandoned Rondo-Ikotun Ile road in Oyun LG seems increasingly like a distant hope for completion. This road is essential for connecting the agrarian community of Ikotun to the broader region. Bashir mentioned that Senator Lola Ashiru had previously undertaken repairs on a portion of this road, but stressed that concerted efforts from the state government are essential for a sustainable solution. Furthermore, in the town of Ipe, the main access road from Offa requires urgent rehabilitation, as it becomes nearly impassable during the rainy season. Another road in dire need of attention is the stretch linking Ilemonna to Erin-Ile. Historically, this road was last maintained in 1999, and as a result, it has severely deteriorated over the years. Bashir elaborated further on the challenges faced by the residents, particularly highlighting Igosun town as a notable concern. He pointed out that the approximately one-kilometer stretch leading into Igosun from Offa has deteriorated into a significant danger zone for motorists and pedestrians alike. Despite numerous appeals and public outcry from the local community regarding the urgent need for repairs, this road remains in disrepair. In Igosun, the educational situation is equally alarming. The sole primary school in the town is severely under-resourced, staffed with just two teachers to cater to the educational needs of all the children. This scarcity of qualified educators has left many parents with no alternative but to enroll their children in private schools, which often come with prohibitive tuition fees. In Igbona town, Bashir noted the contrast in infrastructure. The road leading to Igbona, which spans over three kilometers, was constructed solely by a local family seeking to facilitate access to their business situated along the adjacent express road, the statement concluded. |
The MOK Foundation, dedicated to community development, has finalized plans to register 400 deserving beneficiaries for the 2025 JAMB scholarship program. The registration process is set to take place tomorrow at the foundation's office in Offa. Mr. Lawal Temitope Saheed, the executive director of the foundation, announced this exciting initiative, emphasizing the commitment to facilitating higher education for eligible students. "We are happy to announce that we will be covering the registration fees for 400 selected candidates at our office tomorrow," he stated. He further clarified, "For those candidates who are not residents of Offa or its neighboring communities, their details will be securely returned through the channels used for their submissions." Saheed reassured all participants that the registration process will be transparent and hassle-free, urging all qualified candidates to be present to complete their registration smoothly. This opportunity not only signifies support for students but also reflects the foundation's mission to empower the community through education. |
The Kwara South Youth Congress, a pro-democracy organization, has made a heartfelt appeal to the Kwara State government, led by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, to prioritize the renovation and construction of major roads that link various intra-community areas within the Ifelodun local government. In a detailed statement released by the group's publicity secretary, Bashir Adejare, appreciation was extended to the government for their recent efforts in repairing some roads in the region. Notably mentioned was the road connecting Oke Iya Ipo town to Igbaja, along with several others that have seen improvements in the Igbaja communities. However, Adejare pointed out a significant concern: the majority of intra-community roads within Ifelodun local government have not been adequately maintained, with many originally constructed more than 30 years ago. Alarmingly, some roads have never been tarred at all. During a comprehensive tour of key towns and villages in the area, KSYC found that over 60 percent of the roads are in poor condition, hindering accessibility and development. A visible example is the Idofian-Elerinjare road, which has controversially been awarded for repair twice under two separate administrations but remains unfixed. The group firmly believes that addressing the condition of this road is crucial for fostering agrarian community development. Improving this road would not only facilitate better transportation within Ifelodun but also enhance the overall inter-community road network. It plays an essential role, as it connects Ojoku in Oyun local government and Offa in Offa local government, Bashir said. He went further "The road linking Ifelodun Local Government to Fufu, the headquarters of Ilorin South Local Government, has become a perilous stretch, resembling a death trap. A recent visit to the area revealed that despite numerous attempts to patch it up, the road remains in dire condition, making travel a daunting challenge. We earnestly appeal for a comprehensive rehabilitation of this road to relieve the burden that residents endure in navigating this route. Another critical roadway in urgent need of attention is the road connecting Igbaja to Mosudo and Balogun Oja. This over 10-kilometer stretch is in complete disrepair, leaving the citizens of these towns stranded during the rainy season. They have lived under such dire conditions for more than 50 years, facing significant hardships as they find it nearly impossible to enter or leave their communities when the rains come. Additionally, the villages within the Oke Ode and Igbaja districts also deserve proper focus and care. Apart from being eing the largest local government in Kwara State by land mass, it also hosts numerous ancient towns steeped in rich history and has significantly contributed to the overall development of the state: Igbaja, Oke Ode, Share, Omupo, Idofian, Ganmo, Amoyo among others. The Kwara State Youth Congress (KSYC) calls upon the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, and the Ministry of Works to take immediate action to address these pressing infrastructure deficiencies. We emphasize the long-term benefits that such improvements would bring to the development and connectivity of the region," Bashir concluded. |
*Kwara South Youth Congress Hails Stakeholders Resolution on Smart City* A leading pro-democracy group in Kwara South, Kwara South Youth Congress has praised Ifelodun LG stakeholders who recently recommended that the proposed Smart City be changed from Ilorin Smart City to Kwara Smart City, citing the fact that it's a property of Kwara and because the project will be situated on Ifelodun land. In a statement issued by the group spokesperson, Bashir Adejare, he noted that it's a very important project that must be embraced; however, it's a Kwara project; hence, it should bear Kwara and not Ilorin to harmonize the unity enjoyed in Kwara. " Senator Mankajuola Ajadi, Hon Femi Yusuf, AGF Abdulrasaq, and other stakeholders present at the meeting have done well; they have prioritized community interest over party, and they have Eglin demonstrated the true trait of an average ignominy man," Bashir said. At this juncture, it is crucial to engage in thoughtful discourse with the government regarding the proposed project. The outright dismissal of this initiative by certain factions within Kwara South is both unwarranted and counterproductive. This project has the potential to significantly enhance and elevate the socioeconomic landscape of Kwara South, provided it aligns with the broader interests of the state. We remain committed to advocating for fairness and justice on issues that are vital to the everyday lives of the residents of Kwara South. In conclusion, Bashir emphasized the importance of this endeavor in fostering progress for the community.

By O.T Muhideen (Convydence) A one-time spokesperson for the nation of Islam until 1964, Malcolm Little, later El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz, popularly known as Malcolm X said" The media's the most powerful entity on earth, they have the power make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that is power. Because they control the minds of the masses. Association of Kwara State Online Media Practitioners (ASKOMP) can you read me for the last time? Journalists must always remember that "Truth", "accuracy", and "objectivity" are the cornerstones of journalism ethics, a detachment from the ethics will amount to unprofessionalism, biases, and conflicts of the mind. While I understand that the spotlight falls on the individual journalists who use social media to build a reputation and followers that will allow them to either compete entrepreneurially in a precarious field or prove their worth as good representatives of the organization and journalism more widely, I think that human relationship, investigative journalism should be considered while featuring, publishing or trying to push news of urgency to the public without confirming the verismo of such news, this is in relation with recent defamation cases against your members, a sad re-occurrences that's fighting hard to damage the reputation built by ASKOMP over the years. ASKOMP, why do I want you to read me for the last time? I am interested in reminding you of the need to take caution, money solves problems and it creates problems. As an independent body, there is a need to regulate the continuous embarrassment from politicians to members of your noble association, the dirty politicians in the state have successfully used your members to settle their unseen combats, it has happened, and it's happening. In law and leadership: when a custodian of law acts like one who knows no law, it becomes a crime. Did your members not know the gravity behind unverified news? Did they not know that it's important to be professional even in the face of money? You have been the voice of the people over the years, this is not the time to be used as an accident to reality. I strongly agree that there is freedom of speech and manifestation of intention, but there must be caution to our limitations. In an interview with the BBC shortly after the Gujarat pogrom of 2002, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi was asked: “When you look back, do you think there is anything you should have done differently?” His response was clear and unvarnished: “Yes, one area where I was very weak, was how to handle the media.” That is the thought of average politicians, they always find a way to pocket journalists, here is another reason why your members need to take caution. With a heart full of love, I sincerely wish you could read me for the last time. Dear Data Boy(s), can you read me for the last time? Do you know how politicians define you? "Data boys are the intellectually educated but jobless youths, who have no source of making a decent life, belligerent in nature and pugnacious at all times." too bad you said. BY; TEMITOPE MUHIDEEN (CONVYDENCE) Turaki, the Emirate star boy, peace be upon you. I am writing this letter to extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on your well-deserved victory at the polls. I believe that your victory is a reflection of the trust and confidence the people of Kwara Central Senatorial District have in your leadership qualities and ability to steer the affairs of the constituency toward progress and development. Permit me to run a few words to your heart, however, it’s pertinent to note that I am writing you as a reminder of your promises to elevate the Emirate and continue the battle of progress that your predecessor Sen. Oloriegbe started. I am writing to remind you of the expectation from the community, the business leaders who reposed confidence in you, the political gladiators who queued behind you during the electioneering process, over 3 million people who live in the Emirate city of Ilorin, the poorest of the poor who rooted for you and all progressive Kwarans and Nigerians who supported your journey are all waiting for an inclusive representation. Sen. Mitch McConnell is an American senator, in his letter to President Joe Biden on August 13, 2022. he put “I am a senator today, I can afford everything that requires money, I can buy people too. But what is important to me is the impact I have on my community, they will continue to remember me after my demise, and when I die those impacts will continue to live in my community “The rest is history. I have been outspoken in my support for your successful stay in office before and after the general election. But I have equally been candid about my serious concerns on how to sustain the legislative performance left behind by Sen. Oloriegbe. In my judgment, there will be occasions when quicker, more proactive, and more decisive decision-making by you will be needed to advance your leadership and, by extension, our own goals and interests as the people you represent. Turaki, Our support is not primarily about philanthropy or moral abstraction; it is a direct investment in our own future, putting our community development under your watch. With no reason to fail, you should as a matter of expedience, embrace the principle of “My people first” Of much importance is the need for you to wear the toga of a senator from whom much is expected. I truly believe we need to realize we are no longer in the times of Godfatherism but in the era of the masses. If so, you need to bring the people into one common struggle. We are all connected in an indirect or direct form which is what I refer to as “The Basis of Life” , our necessities, wants and money. The current purpose of our government is not distributing, maintaining and organizing said aspects of our lives to an exceptional level. Therefore the inhabitants are not satisfied. But we found the ways to solve today’s problems. So I implore you, what are you doing to help the current state of your constituent? So please, a humble human asking for guidance. All over the world, beginning from the United States of America, the wind of change is blowing and definitely when I say this, I speak on behalf of my generation; my generation DOES NOT want to be left behind. Now is the time for every Nigerian to start benefiting the Nation’s commonwealth, now is the time for you and our leaders to start investing in the future of our youth, and now is the time for you and our leaders to start looking beyond political, tribal, ethnic and religious differences and put emphasis on those things that bring us all together as a Nation. Turaki, inclusive legislative bidding is achievable. Mallam, on a final note, may I inform you that you can also continue to push the bills sponsored by Sen. Oloriegbe that are yet to scale through the legislative deliberation for presidential assent, a win for one is a win for all. I am confident in your capacity to deliver. May your tenure bring comfort to the emirate. With love, Convydence.

STORY OF UNGURU NEAR FUNTUA By; Temitope Muhideen (CONVYDENCE) Unguru is a small mega city near Funtua, the people of Unguru have been in captivity for decades. They have been denied the opportunities enjoyed as citizens of the town, in the past the treasury ofUnguru has been looted and siphoned. For over 30 years,Unguru community leadership was a decision of a man named (Alaanu) who later fixed his Son(Jegudujera) as the leader of Gurugu. Jegudujera grew wings, he outsmart his father on many decisions, he became the new messiah and decision maker of Unguru kingdom . Jegudujera is totally different from his father,Unguru people trusted him at first , until they realized he is not a replica of his father’s good deeds. At a point they realized he his after their patrimony. Jegudujera is smart and intelligent, he single-handedly gave who ever he want a role in leadership, he forgot there are people who needs dividends of good leadership, those who could not put food on their table talkless of paying their wards school fees. Few years ago, the people of Unguru decided to chase Jegudujera and his cohorts out of their kingdom, they complained of his lack of transparency, they complained of his greediness , they have their way, Jegudujera and his cohorts were chased out in a show of shame that almost cost Jegudujera national relevance. Unguru people chose a new man named (Digboluja) as the new leader of their town, Digboluja only visits Unguru occasionally before he became the new leader, he lives in Funtua, he is far away from the people, but for new thirst and developmental hunger,Unguru people chose him as the new messiah. Digboluja is a quiet man not noisy like Jegudujera, Digboluja started his reign by fighting those who fought for his emergence as the new leader of Unguru , Digboluja’s silent nature is devilish, his servants fought each other courtesy of Digboluja’s silence. Digboluja couldn’t manage internal crisis that later transformed to a coup, Digboluja failed in leadership management and continues to struggle in governance, Digboluja is another version of Jegudujera in decision making, he would place four people on the same ball, promising each of them the ball belong to him or her. For every five thousand accounted for by Digboluja and his people , they have spent twenty thousand. Digboluja reign created lot of enemies within his camp, Digboluja has put the good people of Unguru In hard situation. Digboluja Servants are complicating matters for him, he has a special servant named (Ajele), Ajele is not a citizen of Unguru , he is from Akotileta a town far away from Unguru, Digboluja carelessness gives Akotilete the chance to create enemies between the sons and daughters of Unguru. In few months, Unguru people will exercise their right to choose another leader to lead their community, Digboluja continues to lose his armies , the citizens of Unguru are watching , the new leader must not be another calamity. Crisis must be avoided. Unguru must develop. I am your friend, Convydence |
Dear KWSG the synthetic is sinking By O. T. Muhideen Thomas Jefferson was the third democratically elected president of the United States of America (1801- 1809) while stating the Embargo Act of 1807 in the United States he said “ when a man assumes a public trust he should considered himself a public property”. He further stressed the need for the embargo act “as the leader of the United States I shall be responsible for any good or bad done to our public properties” the rest is history, story for another day. Let us come to the recent happenings in our dear state , for years before our self independence from the shackles of a dynasty that deteriorated our public properties through mismanagement, frauds and neglects, our public facilities deteriorated from zero to nothing but despite the hurdles , the devil find it deem fit to refurbished our stadium, the then governor of Kwara state Sen. Abubakar Bukola Saraki brought the dying stadium back to life , according to research, after the refurbishment the stadium was said to nearly meet European standards , like they say “the rest is history” but the synthetic is sinking. Let me not bore you with rhetorics, the recent abuse of the stadium by organizations, political groups and ministries under the watch of his excellency, the present occupant of Amhadu Bello state house Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq is alarming, one will wonder if the state government is not aware of the dangers attached to continuous usage of the synthetic pitch for public gathering or political hangout as the opposition love to call it. Honestly the synthetic is sinking . The program “ cracking the glass ceiling the story of Kwara women“ is no doubt an eye opener to the fact that there is no limit to what our women can achieve in and outside politics, but to a progressive who believe in the growth of the state, who owns a mind of his own, one will agree to the fact that it was an excellent program at the wrong venue , considering the fact that the synthetic pitch is as good as dead which need urgent intervention not emergency usage. I have read different views in defense and against the usage of the synthetic pitch from the ruling party especially from those the opposition tagged “Data boys” and from the opposition party especially from those the ruling party tagged “peoples of yesterday” to the popular Aanigba they seems to have shelved their swords. But in reality , the accusation from the opposition is with an hidden intention, they have attacked the governor collectively without appreciating the excellent program “cracking the glass ceiling, the story of Kwara women “ and another thing they failed to commend may be they need to be reminded that Governor AA signs bill mainstreaming 35% gender inclusion in government in the state, honestly this is a landmark achievement but the synthetic is sinking. In defense, the camps within the ruling party have put up a foul defense, they have argued collectively that the program was not only outstanding, it was an eye opener to our women who want to do great, they reminds the opposition that the governor of the state signs a new bill the same day, they also open the eyes and ears of the opposition to the fact that the synthetic is planned to be refurbished next year and at such it has been budgeted for 2022 fiscal year, but one will wonder if the aforementioned defense are enough reasons to further damage the faded pitch that the league Management Company (LMC) already declared unfit to hold Nigeria Professional Football league in a letter dated December 9th 2021. Yes they highlighted the importance of the program but they failed to accept the fact that the usage of that pitch was wrong, they know but they decided to defend wrongs , it’s called “politics” but the synthetic is sinking . Let me revisit Jefferson’s quote “when a man assumes public trust he should considered himself a public property” this is for Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq the working governor of the state, he is the leader of the state, decisions and directives are within his reach, like Jefferson said earlier, the good and the bad done to improve or damage public properties under the watch of a leader , it’s the sole responsibility of such leader. Like I always say “ History is not a bastard” but the synthetic is sinking. O. T. Muhideen is a member of Greenfield Library Limited , Atlanta Georgia USA.
