I'm super proud of the boys. We scored three goals and didn't concede (which is very rare considering our usual highline). I hope we continue this way going forward. Barca 4 life!!! 💪😎💥🔥

Barcelona destroyed Atletico today in all ramifications. cheesy

Atleti's only saving grace was the fourth goal from the first leg. Aggregate ends 4:3 in favour of Atletico.

opes:
NFF will not listen to them. I doubt if they will ever appoint any local coach for the Super Eagles again. Who among them is even qualified at this stage? Is it Siasia, who ain't coached any team in over 10 years? Or Amuneke, who relegated Heartland and is still not getting it right in the NNL? Or Finidi, after the last disaster? Eguavoen? Oliseh? Never.
When it comes to the NFF, I would advice you tone down your expectations because they'll always find a way to display their incompetence. Those people don't want the best for our football, so I won't be surprised if they repeat the same stupid actions that put us in this mess in the first place.

Nigerians are cursed. Seriously cursed with the spirit of self sabotage.

The same so called O.A.Ps, fake sports journalists and ex internationals that asked for the sack of Gernot Rohr few weeks to an AFCON and for Peseiro to be let go despite taking us to an AFCON final are now asking for Eric Chelle to be let go because according to them, his "demands" are too much (Same thing they said about Peseiro).

Ask them for a possible replacement and you'll hear them bring up local coaches. 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

How did I find myself in the same country as these self harming idiots? We're not ready for any form of progress in this country. At this rate, our football will continue to be like our epileptic power supply. Tueh 🤮

Spain's own is even worse cause it has been going on since the days of General Franco. At least the EPL are discreet with theirs unlike here where they're not afraid of anyone. It's so painful we don't just have the defense to compete for the UCL this season if not who would care about their shady decisions
I still can't believe what we just witnessed. Na this kind thing dey make some referees dey collect serious slap for face. This is why I'll always love what the Senegalese coach did in that AFCON final.

Talking about our defense, let's be honest with ourselves: Even prime Puyol and Pique will struggle with Hansi Flick's high line philosophy. All it takes to destroy that high line is a well timed off-the-ball movement in the half spaces between our CBs and Fullbacks. Once that happens, the opponents will always have a clear opportunity to score.

Hansi Flick needs to realise that it's not every match that requires the deployment of a high line especially when your forwards aren't scoring enough goals.

We always tend to have one form of controversy or the other with this referee called soto grande. I'm seeing he even disallowed a goal against rayo cause of a stomp by kounde. We were poor and didn't deserve to win but we must still be robbed thanks to those with ulterior motives
The annoying part is that he refused to check V.A.R after the goal was scored to confirm if the foul on Kounde was legitimate or not. He and those in the V.A.R room are all guilty of this glaring robbery.

This just reminds me of all the shenanigans the referees committed in favour of Morocco at the just concluded AFCON.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by COOL10(m): 11:03pm On Feb 16
Even the commentators are shocked as to how the goal stood despite there being a clear foul on Kounde's ankle.

Guy, this shit is just so damn obvious even as a rival fan you go begin wonder how this thing dey happen back to back.
This is pure robbery and malicious officiating.
Anyone who denies this obvious robbery is just a very hateful person and shouldn't be listened to.

Kounde should have gotten back to his feet when he saw the ref waved play on.
Has someone on full speed with football boots on stepped on your ankle before? That shiiit is painful as fvck. One can't get up easily from that.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by COOL10(m): 10:50pm On Feb 16
Now I understand the whole talk about La Liga referees being against Barcelona. That was a clear foul on Kounde by the Girona player who stepped on his ankle.

That fact that the referee didn't even go to check the V.A.R monitor after the goal was scored just shows the clear gang up against Barcelona.

Thank God Roony is drifting to the middle now.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by COOL10(m): 10:40pm On Feb 16
What the hell is Hansi Flick thinking? First you play Roony on the left and now you're removing Dani Olmo who has made more passes into the box than Fermin who is playing as our AM.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by COOL10(m): 10:35pm On Feb 16
If care isn't taken, this high line tactic will be the destruction of this club.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by COOL10(m): 10:27pm On Feb 16
Fermin should be shifted to the left, Yamal to the AM position and then Roony to the right. This is so simple 🤦🏽‍♂️

We've finally scored. Beautiful cross from Kounde and an amazing header from Cubarsi who scores his first goal for Barcelona.
