One of the commentators just noted that Marcus Rashford's debut season goal contributions in La Liga are the best for any foreign player in the last 100 years, behind only Luis Suarez. Now that's massive!!! 😲

Very boring first half. No bite from the wings at all. Fermin Lopez, Roony and Cancelo were quite dull but at least Roony got our only shot on target when he drifted to the middle.

It's important to set boundaries for women and when they cross those boundaries, it's even more important to pack them one side.

I heard this is our first away victory against Getafe since 2019.

Pedri's assist to Fermin was excellent. He was also applauded by the Getafe fans as he got substituted.

Lewandowski didn't score but it was a beautiful Center Forward display from him today. His link up play and assist to Rashford were sumptuous.

And to top it off, Rashford scored a one on one today 😄.
It shows his dedication to improve his weaknesses. Great goal.

It was a hard fought win, and it's awesome to know that we're now 11 points clear of Real Madrid 🕺🕺 😄

With Balde coming on, we're finally going to see Cancelo play as a winger.

One thing fans don't understand is that it's usually difficult to score a one on one opportunity when a player takes multiple touches of the ball before shooting, especially when the player is as fast as Rashford and starts his run from deep.

Rashford took just two touches of the ball before he scored and that was what helped him today.

Rashford scores and it was a one on one opportunity. Yes!!!!! 😲😄

Hello everyone!

I need an advice on something.

Sorry if it has been explained here before and i missed it.

So i realized there is a thine line between setting boundaries/calling women out, and not being emotional (nonchalant) as a man.

Most times when i have something to do with women, and they start their shit test, i am often stuck in between calling her out (warning) or just ignoring so it won’t be like i am triggered. So she doesn’t use any against me.

Recently i was vibing with a girl, and started shit testing me by behaving distant. Ignored her and continued my life until she came to start using some manipulation like i don’t love her bla bla bla

After a while, she started behaving abnormal again, at that moment i was left to decide if i should call her out or just ignore her again.

I have read several at times that calling a woman out and putting her in her place works. I have also reading that ignoring her, and not showing you were triggered by her actions works.

Now i have applied both with different women in different scenarios , and they both work. But at one point, i think man has to use one of the 2 tactics more.

I mean they both have thier disadvantages, like

1. acting nonchalant can make her grow wings and continue to do the bad things in the future because after all, “you will just ignore and not give a F”

2. Calling her out and setting boundaries can make her understand your triggers and might want to use it against you in the future.

I hope y’all understand where i am heading at.
What did you reply when she said you don't love her?

Fermin Lopez was aggressive as always and won possession on probably two or three occasions but he gave the ball away at least four or five times.

Pedri was poor in the first half but improved in the second. I still feel he holds on to the ball for too long, on certain occasions.

It wasn't a great game but I'm so glad we won and got the 9 point lead over Real Madrid.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by COOL10(m): 10:21pm On Apr 22
La Liga's referees are a joke, especially the V.A.R.

They just showed the "cartoonish" offside V.A.R replay that's usually shown during V.A.R disputes, and it clearly showed that Ferran was obviously onside, yet his goal was quickly cancelled before the replay was even shown. The replay was shown almost 5 minutes after the goal was cancelled.

Even the commentators said the replay looked onside and not offside. These referees are obviously against Barcelona, and they don't mind showing it at all.

I keep saying that Roony needs more playing time. Just look at that shot 😲

He and Yamal can play together with one of them playing as an AM. They already did so earlier on in the season and Roony scored two goals. Flick needs to start bringing him on in the second halves of our games from which he can now possibly graduate into a starter.

I like Gunther but I'm not in support of the "Career Killer" gimmick. He doesn't need it at all. Perhaps Brock feels this way too.

You can chose to blame the players all you want but omo Flick mess up yesterday... serious mess up angry
Exactly my point yesterday. Just look at how high Cancelo and Fermin were. Gerard Martin even had to move to left back to cover up for Cancelo.

Thank God, Rashford didn't start yesterday's match. Everyone would have blamed him for not tracking back. Now they're all ignoring the fact that Fermin didn't track back before that goal was scored. Fermin more or less stood and watched Atletico attack from his wing.

I will keep saying it again and again that FC Barcelona has one of the best defence in the world but these defence becomes shiiit with the highline.
Our defenders marvels during a one on one and a man marking situation, they become beasts when they man mark their opponents and i don't know why flick hasn't seen this till now.
I will keep saying , we really have a good defence when they are not running and chasing their opponents because of the highline.

Flick need to change, the world has moved on from highline.
Highline won't work in this current times we are in, it simply an old tactic that is no longer needed.

We didn't lose because we got outplayed, we lost because Flick is using old format in an era of new formats.
Our issue is not defence, our highest problem are strikers and the highline.
This was something I thought about yesterday as well. The highline has made us believe that our defenders aren't good enough. What if that's a lie? What if our defenders will actually play better without that highline? Hansi Flick really needs to have a rethink.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by COOL10(m): 11:52pm On Apr 14
Kilishihunter:
Yeah he needs to try something new. This highline has cost us this time around
The thing about the highline philosophy is that it requires all 4 defenders to be on the same wavelength. If even one of the defenders should be ahead or behind the rest, the highline will fail.

It is very hard to achieve because we play with offensive fullbacks. All it takes is for our opponents to make a run in between our fullbacks and center backs i.e the half spaces and then cross the ball to one of their wingers for an easy tap in.

Check and you'll see that we keep conceding the same type of goal over and over again. That's not a coincidence.

If Hansi Flick chooses not to dump his highline philosophy, then he should reserve it for only opponents with slow players, which is still going to be risky because you don't necessarily need to have fast players to breach a high line.

It's crazy how V.A.R were so eager to check if Eric deserved a red card yet they quickly dismissed Llorente's two handed push on Olmo in the box. It's also crazy how Gavi was given a yellow for making Ruggeri bleed yet Musso wasn't even shown a yellow card for making Fermin bleed.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by COOL10(m): 10:06pm On Apr 14
I don't know why Lamine and Pedri kept holding on to the ball unnecessarily. Too many turns and dribbles that led them to be dispossessed of the ball.

Anyway, like I said earlier, Hansi Flick deserves most of the blame. His ridiculous high line philosophy has cost us in back to back Champions League tournaments. I don't know why he's too stubborn to accept this clear fact.

Beautiful game of football. The 3-6-1 formation worked well in the first half but our defense line was still too high for my liking.

My highlights of the game were:

1) Ferran's header

2) Lamine's pass for Ferran's second goal.

3) Ferran's excellent one touch finish for his second goal.

3) Casado's strength and eventual pass for Lamine's goal.

4) De Jong's pass for Rashford's goal.

5) Rashford's superb finish for the fourth goal despite De Jong's pass being a little bit behind him. It's his 24th G/A of the season. 👏💪😎

It feels so good to be 9 points ahead of Real Madrid. Love it 😄

The boys really impressed me today. They showed lots of grit and dedication before and after the red card. It's such a shame that the referee intentionally refused to give Atletico a red card even when they deserved it.

All in all, I'm very very proud of the boys.

Yeah, the referee was trying to be lenient and not spoil the match. That should have been a red card for Koke.
His so called leniency may have just cost us this match.

The commentator mentioned something about this same referee being criticised by Koke during the club world cup.
