A lot of people are going to laugh at this, but I see Onuachu scoring a bicycle kick in the 86th or 87th minute of today's match grin

All things are possible, to those who believe grin

A bad decision if you ask me.

One of Angolan star player,Ben Mukendi has left the team camp and has returned to his club side in Portugal.
He was complaining of not getting enough game time in the tournament.
If he's a regular in his club, then I understand his decision. Not every one has the patience to be wasting on the bench, when they could be playing regularly for their club.

For him to mention, it means it's still there. He's just using the win over Morrocco to gain confidence
True.

Some of them are already envisioning a final against Nigeria.

It's my prayer that they continue to underate Cape Verde, so that on that day, they'll find themselves conceding long range shots from BEBE and his counterparts.

they are just dreaming, they have the physicality of the Cape Verde players to deal with, Do they think it's North Africans they are playing?

though won't mind if they win as they will have the usual psychological block they normally have if they meet us in the semi-finals
He did mention that psychological block. He said it's no longer there. He believes they've defeated it grin.

A compilation of Ekong's defense masterclass in this tournament was also shown 💪💪. One of them said he's really impressed with Ekong's growth.

A Supersports anchor said something quite important.

He said that Cape Verde are yet to play a match during night time, meanwhile, the South Africans have already played quite a number of their matches at night and are already used to the high humidity that usually accompanies night time in Cote D'Voire.

He believes they're going to have an edge over Cape Verde because of this.

currently we hv enough strikers and he has to do something extra ordinary to attract the nff and super eagles coaching crew

I think when it comes to tapping this European born players the major focus for now should be in areas where the team lacks quality for instance midfield and defense

CBs like Ekong, Ajayi and Omeruo are still dependable but are aging at the same time. one or two understudies can be drafted to the team to learn from the above trio as well as serve as their heir when they eventually retires

In midfield, a player like Aribo should be dropped for now in order to give others a chance to show what they can offer

the wings should be under consideration too. Inconsistent players like Moses and Samu need competitions to sit out or to be dropped. Musa after the afcon I believe wants to retire and a player like Tella should be his replacement. Belgium based Yira Sor can be given a chance to battle for shirt with Samu and Moses
I agree with your assertions with regards to the wings, defense and midfield, but I seriously doubt that Aribo is going to be dropped anytime soon, due to the shortage of midfielders in that squad.

Concerning Elijah Adebayo, I wonder what else he needs to do to get a call up. This guy has scored 8 goals for a very poor Luton side that has been battling relegation for most of the season, and his goals have now managed to lift them off the relegation spots for the first time in a long time.

He's about to get to double digits in the Premier League, which not a lot of Nigerian strikers can boast of. Perhaps, when that happens, that'll be considered extraordinary enough to earn him an invitation 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️.

Yesterday Elijah Adebayo of Luton scored a hat trick in an EPL match against Brigton
This guy has been performing very well for Luton. I was even about asking if he's eligible to play for us, because I've been wondering why he hasn't been invited to the Super Eagles team.

Before the tournament started, Morocco had the lowest odd and highest chance to win the tournament @6.00 odds, Nigeria was the fourth or fifth @10.90 odds - on Sportybet. I been just dey laugh because I know tables will turn. Now Nigeria has the lowest odd and highest chance @2.90 odds followed by Ivory Coast @3.40 odds ✌🏾
That's the beauty of football. Anything can happen. 😎

The SuperSports anchor just said that "the stats" suggest that the Super Eagles have a 25% chance of winning the AFCON --- the highest percentage of any of the nations still involved in the tournament.

I actually think it won’t be so hard. The MIND is very powerful. VERY POWERFUL!!! You think you’re playing your best but you are not! Ivory Coast lost their last game 4-0 while Senegal won ALL their games! If this were the first game of the tournament (before all that happened) Senegal would have easily beaten them!
I know the mind is powerful, and that's why I don't want the Super Eagles to face them again.

They just defeated the defending champions; they're on a high right now.

If you add those emotions to their obvious desire to revenge their loss against us, coupled with the fact that they're the hosts of the tournament with thousands of fans supporting them, that's some extra motivation right there.

Ivory Coast DESERVED to win. They won by unanimous decision
They played better today than in their past games, but I wanted Senegal to win. Now, there's a possibility that the Super Eagles could face the Ivorians again. If that happens, it's not going to be easy for the Super Eagles.

Sure, Harry Kane is really good. But the way Kessie reacts to pressure...I think he suffers from a variant of niliphobia
Nihiliphobia ,you mean cheesy.

You may right though. His facial expression before taking any penalty is like a dead stare into the goalkeeper's soul, irrespective of whatever theatrics the goalkeeper may put up to scare him.

Stone cold killer, that's what he is cheesy

Go and check most of the penalties that Mendy has been up against. If you count up to five saves, I'll be very surprised.
