If customs failed to do their job properly at the boarder to stop smuggling then i see no sense coming into town to mount road blocks thereby putting people’s life at risk. It’s just unreasonable. Government needs to reform the agency.

However I need to know from experienced investors, what do you look out for when investing in stocks because I know this is not guess work nor is it entirely luck. How do you source information? What statistics do you look out for and where? Thanks in advance

Coolcash1:
I know we have a lot of newbies joining the forum now to trade in US stock market and it cannot be overemphasized, the need to always go extra mile before investing in any stocks. Same goes for the useless reddit stock alert disguised under fighting HFs (hedge funds) in shorting under performing stocks. People should not blindly follow alerts or stock picks or copy trading thinking they could make fast money from it because more often than not it always end in premium tears! The truth is, 99% of the time, the person/analyst giving the alert has already taken position in the stock and needs to push the price up.

So that people don't get me wrong and those who have taken it upon themselves as a service to this forum by posting stock alerts don't get discouraged, their selfless spirit is appreciated but there is need for users of such information to carry out due diligence on their own before committing your hard earned funds.

Where you are deficient in skill and knowledge to carryout such exercise, follow the steps below;

1. Is the stock trending or consolidating?
2. What is causing the stock to behave or move in such manner?
3. Look for news catalysts; launching of new products, FDA approval, strategic alliances (GSAT and Qualcomm) etc
4. Find out the nature and performance of the company's product?
5. Is it a single or multiple product company?
6. Does the product give the company competitive edge over its competitors?
7. Is the company growing demand for its product or shrinking.
8. Is there any government policy which may likely impact or boost revenue performance of the company
9. Is revenue growing or declining? If declining, ask why?
10. Is operating income (profit before tax) growing at expected rate?
11. If the company is at development stage (most bio-tech companies fall under this category), what is their cash burn rate?
12. Check the liquidity condition. What is the size of cash at bank? Is receivable decreasing or increasing viz-a-viz short term payable. How is operating cashflow utilized.
13. Does the company have debt in their capital structure or solely equity financed? Note that too much debt exposes shareholders to huge financial risk?
14. Is the debt performing or not.
15. Look out for any going concern threat e.g hertz cab, AMC, etc
16. Insider trading
17. Resignation or employment of key management staff e.g. managing director, chief finance officer etc
18... Any other relevant information.

My one cent.

There's something I find difficult when trying to trade stocks using technical analysis: having to go through thousands of stock charts looking for the ones that have the pattern that qualifies as a trade setup.

Are there technical screeners that can do the job?

The stock lost 27.59% in just one trading day! Never follow the hype, buy a fundamentally sound stock at a discount entry price and sleep well at night cheesy

I recently added $BABA, $TCEHY, $PDD and $JD to my portfolio at just a few cents above their 52-week low. Yes, they're Chinese stocks, and I'm aware of what I've gone into. I'm not even going to look at the price charts until 5 to 10 years from now!

Let's focus on $ABML stock.

The price failed to break the $2.40 level after several attempt. Therefore, we see the pull back as healthy to enable smart money load up for a breakout and reach price target of $4.00.

Using the daily chart as guide to time our entry, potential reversal zone (PRZ) for the stock is between $1.45 and $1.55. We expect a bounce off the 200 EMA before continuing the upward trend.

As an experienced trader and investor, Newbies forget NSE and invest in foreign stocks to give you twin benefit of hedging inflation and devaluation risk in the country. NSE can’t give you that needed leverage!

Channel the same energy you use for research into picking good foreign stocks. Your effort will surely pay off.

I cum in peace!

If you put all the moving parts together; slow sales in China, rising competition in the industry, weak competitive advantage, production capacity constraint, depletion of government tax credit amongst others, it’s just a matter of time for the price to get there. We continue to observe.

. Abeg those that trade crypto, how do you make cash widthrawals and deposits? I just discovered that I can no longer widthraw or make cash deposit in my Luno wallet due to the CBN directive.

Try register with Binance or Kraken. However, purchase can only be through P2P for now or fund your account from an offshore account if you’ve one.

trove does but you need to have upto $25,000 before you can , i ask one of their staff.

I guess it’s because their partner is US based and they can’t go against US SEC rule. However, down the line, if they team up with a registered non-US based broker, the amount won’t be up to that.

Your analysis is wrong Emma. You are only looking at the nominal value, you need to consider impact of inflation and exchange rate. When these factors are considered, the value never be that high.

With sell-off drying up and prices already beaten down whereby most of them are re-testing the 200 and 365 EMA its a sign of correction period being over. Also an indication of economic recovery implying that its time to load up on some cheap good stocks with minimum of 100% returns.

If you are already in the bus, just sit tight as the pay day is just around the corner.

If you have extra cash, it’s time to mop up and watch your money grow.

Looking at the policy direction of the government, focus should be on ESG, airlines, telecommunications, biotechnology other than covid vaccine development companies and entire EV industry value chain stocks.

Happy investing/trading.

Has anyone done this before?

The reason why i abandoned them is because of their expensive service. I will advise you still do more search and DD for possible alternatives.
