babtoundey: I got myself into this trouble three weeks ago.
I was out of town when I received a call from a friend. We had been friends since when we were in school. Though we didn't see regularly (the last time we saw before this incident was over 8 years ago) but we conversed regularly. When he called he informed me he needed to stay with me that he had an issue with his landlord. He wasn't really explicit or straight in his explanation. When i was reluctant, he mentioned that he was staying for just one week. Okay, no problem. I said.
When i returned home, i refuse to call him because it needed my space for myself so as to be able to attend to some urgent works. The second day after the agreement was sealed, he asked if i had returned i told hime i wouldn't be returning until that evening.
This friend came with his bag very early the following day which was a Monday morning. It was after he settled in that I got to know that he left another friends house for my house. And before he went to that person house, he had been staying with another friend. Whatever reason he left that person's house, i wouldn't know. The moment he came, he started calling people (his mum, brother and girlfriend), citing my address as his current location.
My major headache is, this person had already spent three weeks and he doesn't seem ready to leave. All he does is, press phone, sleep and wakeup. He has already strained my food supply. I am hardly at home; I go to work in the morning and return late at night. I just noticed food I can't finish in two months vanished in two weeks. He uses my toiletries (bathing soap included), my hair cream and body cream.
What pains me is, he isn't coming out straight and is not seem comfortable discussing what his plans are. He only seems fixated with online business or whatsoever.
I will appreciate ideas on how to tell this friend to excuse me. With what you learnt to be his antecedents of moving from one friend's place to another and now to yours, how are you not sure that he is someone on the run and you might be implicated as having harboured or aided him, if he gets caught? |

Business › Re: Is Bitcoin Dead And Gone? by Cooleasy(m): 1:45am On Feb 07 |
Bitcoin: I started buying Bitcoin back in 2013 when it was about $200 a piece. I'm not here to get more people to buy so it wouldn't crash, rather I'm here to tame the fears of emotional investors who haven't experienced a bear market before. Go through my post history, I've always advised people to buy and hold, been saying this same thing for over a decade now. I say the same thing when it's rising and when it's dumping. Heck, I even came out to say people should buy Bitcoin when it hit an All-Time-High of $100,000.
It's funny you say I'm trying to persuade people to buy so It doesn't crash. Like seriously do you think Nigerians as a collective have the kind of buying power to really move the needle of a $1.5 trillion asset? How many nairaland users have the expendable cash to make a dent on it's market cap? Is it the $5 weekly purchase I'm encouraging them to make that will prevent Bitcoin from crashing?
Bitcoin changed my life and that of my household. I have always said people should convert some of their life savings into Bitcoin. It's never too late to get involved today, we are still on a trajectory to exponential new highs. But bear in mind, it will never be smooth sailing. Bitcoin remains the best performing asset class in over a decade. Buy and hold for the long haul. Bros, please do you believe in SIDRA (SDA)? Do you know about it? It seems you understand these things a lot and can read them well. Your opinion will carry weight as I am trying to learn and decide. Thanks |

Dzechy: Good morning my people. Two Nigeria matches coming up, and I think they’re worth talking about, especially the one happening today.
🇳🇬 vs 🇹🇳 Nigeria vs Tunisia (AFCON – Today)
Nigeria playing Tunisia is never straightforward. On paper, Nigeria often looks stronger, but Tunisia has a way of making these games uncomfortable, especially in tournaments like the Africa Cup of Nations.
From what we’ve seen in past meetings: • Tunisia are usually very organized defensively • They don’t rush the game • They wait for mistakes and punish you
Nigeria, on the other hand, tends to play better when we move the ball quickly and don’t overcomplicate things. If we score early, it should be a good day. If not, it could turn into one of those tense matches where patience is key.
Personally, I think midfield discipline will decide this game. Once we lose shape, Tunisia will take advantage.
As for:
🇺🇬 Uganda vs 🇳🇬 Nigeria (30th)
After today, Nigeria faces Uganda on the 30th. Some people may already be writing it off as an easy game, but I don’t think it’s that simple.
Uganda usually plays with a lot of energy, especially against bigger teams. Also, this kind of match is where coaches tend to rotate players, which can affect rhythm.
Things I’ll be watching out for: • Squad rotation and new faces • How well the team keeps possession • Defensive concentration
It’s a good test, not just a “friendly.”
My final take is that both matches matter in different ways. Tunisia is about focus and experience. Uganda is about consistency and squad depth. If Nigeria handles both well, it says a lot about where the team is heading.
For those who won’t be in front of a TV, some people are following the matches via live streams online — https://eventstreamhd.cam is one of the options being shared around.
What do you think: • Nigeria vs Tunisia — win or struggle? • Should the coach rotate heavily against Uganda?
Let’s hear your honest football opinions 👇 Please, when exactly is Nigeria's match today, 630pm or 9:30pm? |

They want to destroy humanity by introducting the worshiping of one imaginary being they said is living up in the sky.
The day human being especially Africans will abandon religion and focus on humanity development that will be the day we will start making a head way but until then we will keep on going in circle, fighting, killing and destroying ourselves just to massage the ego of some extraterrestrial being that wants us to worship them. QuinModah: It’s easy to look at the insecurity around us and assume the military generals are incompetent or unworthy of their ranks. But the truth is, becoming a general is not always about being on the frontlines fighting bandits like Bello Turji. Modern armies don’t work that way anymore. By the time an officer reaches the rank of general, he’s usually in his late 40s or 50s and has spent decades rising through the system—leading operations, training soldiers, studying strategy, and coordinating logistics.
Nigeria’s insecurity problem isn’t just a “military” issue. Banditry thrives because of weak governance, poverty, corruption, porous borders, and sometimes even local collaboration with criminals. Generals may plan and authorize operations, but without intelligence, political will, and community cooperation, those plans can fail.
So while it’s fair to demand accountability, it’s also unfair to assume these men did nothing to merit their stars. Some have risked their lives in international peacekeeping missions, others have led battalions that successfully pushed back insurgents. The insecurity challenge is deeper than just “bad generals”—it’s a mix of politics, resources, and a broken system that even the most decorated general alone cannot fix. God bless you! |
