Yes the person who died is my direct cousin ..only male child of the family of the individual that invited me .. I have the death papers and the person who invited me is willing to write a letter to backup my claim of the death of her brother and my advantage of staying over ..

Overstaying is indeed a criminal offence under the Immigration Act, but it's not going to show up on a routine background check; those are for actual convictions and I think some ASBOs show up on those checks too (stand to be corrected). So your school will not see any record of your overstay that way.

Was the person who died a family member? (You stated "a member of the family who invited me'). If so, you might fall under the good reason for overstaying category for leniency (however your 2 month overstay is quite long), but if not, you are in trouble with the Home Office. They can ban you from reentry for up to 10 years.

Basically, you wont know till you apply, but if you do apply, make sure you address your overstay and provide evidence of the relationship to the person who died and how your presence there was required in the interim. I'm sure you must be well aware that the Home Office under the Tories is stricter so you must provide compelling evidence.

@ justwise nice job you have been doing here , pls I need some advice on a little espitle of my case. 2014 I overstayed my 6months visa due to the demise of a member of the family who invited me , had to stay a little while( made me over stayed my welcome with 2 months) at that time of grief. Was issued an overstayer form on my point of exit. I havent applied for uk visa after then and I emailed the home office and they told me If I have a tanglebible reason for overstaying. About 2 weeks ago I applied for msc in clinical research at Bournemouth University which the uni asked me to snap and send my previous visa if I had been in uk before and for background check for criminal records while in uk which I did . To my suprised I was issued an Unconditional offer few days ago telling me I have met the condition to get enrolled to the University for Sep 2020, then to pay 2000£ fee deposit and all .... @ justwise and elders in the house . What's may be my outcome when applying and should I apply with the evidence that backs up my claim ... pls advice me people as I want to apply with ma family ..

You are not ready yet, wait for September admission season and use that time to study the U.K student visa processes.

Please who knows why UK schools hardly give admission for Bachelors but easily and quickly gives admission for masters? The 2 Universities I have applied for my cousin to study Bachelor since 2 months now they have not given her admission but the master I applied for my bro came out under 1 week. Pls who knows why?

So how what can I do about this ? I have a reason, my cousin whom I stayed with died while I was around about to leave . So I stayad to observe the funeral rights. I could provice evidence documents from the hospital..

Whether qscholarship or PhD, the fact is you breached immigration rules and this even comes with a 10 year ban (forgot to mention earlier).

As for the bolded, there are 'exceptional circumstances' like Family life.

Even if I get a scholarship? Or even going for a phd ? Uk will refuse ?I have people that were deported and still uk grants them visa.. I lost a cousin then at white Chapel hospital , reason for my over stay

It is unlikely you will be successful in your Tier 4 application as it's a criminal offence to overstay unless you have a VERY GOOD reason for overstaying.

If RGU is aware of your immigration history, they wouldn't even issue you a CAS.

I just applied to RGU .Master in public health ..am hopeful..

Almost all schools I contacted has a flexible payment plan eg Robert Gordon university , Glasgow Caledonian university, Leeds Beckett etc.... all you need to do is talk to APPROVED in - country representatives of respective UK universities as most of them have representatives in Nigeria and their services are totally free

Hello house, d little I knw about VLA is they allow graduates seeking employments write the test every Thursday, ND, HND n BSC. U shld go to d venue as early as possible cus there are always lots of people, go wt a copy of ur CV n ur documents(just to be on a safe side). The test is usually in a normal format of Maths, English, current affairs and essay(usually about banking). U will be contacted after the test if u do well. Their procedure of recruitment is safe n not tiring its gud to give it a trial... My trial gave me an offer in Gtbank

Canadian VOs are unpredictable. But God has the final say in every Visa application. What will be will be.

Do Canadian universities recognize distance learning Certificates?? With high grades?? Especially university of Saskatchewan....

Buh currently working on an online advance diploma in clinical research distance learning with a uni in india .. I wana go study msc in public health in Canada.. do Canadian universities recognize distance learning certificates and since I have a lower credit in my post graduate diploma in medical microbiology, would I be considered for admission maybe if i have higher grades in my Advance diploma distance learning course??
