Compare Rhea Ripley's, Bianca Belair's, or Iyo Sky's reigns as NXT champions to their reigns on the main roster, which of those was truly their "breakout" moment?

This is 2025, NXT stars are household names now. That whole development narrative is for Evolve and the others.

If an NXT star doesn't translate to the biggest stages such as Wrestlemania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series, etc., or go to and find success in AEW or Japan, then you can't call them a success story.

Alba Fyre was actually doing OK in NXT with the weird druid shtick especially when she joined up with Isla Dawn. Next thing you know, they bring them to the main roster to lose to Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler so they can needlessly unify the NXT women's tag titles with its main roster counterpart. Then, they are mostly off TV and never presented as a threat until they suddenly win the titles in their hometown only to drop them almost immediately. Fast forward a bit and Isla Dawn gets released and Alba Fyre becomes a lackey for Chelsea Green with no upward trajectory in sight.
Sad.

As for Grayson Waller, he's put in a tag team with Austin Theory and we all know how much Triple H seems to hate that guy. They become tag champions and still take L after L. Then they tease a breakup angle endlessly only to do the actual breakup off screen. Now they have Waller as a chickenshit lackey to a group of chickenshit heels.
Another thing, maybe Waller needs to Americanise his Aussie accent for the WWE crowd to understand him better. Notice how the likes of Rhea Ripley, Finn Baylor, and Drew McIntyre started getting better reactions on the mic when they did it.
