femolii:Osu and tiger claw face, which one has passed through second reading in your parliament? That shows the urgency of your evil. Remember you started it.

Akissani:How far about OBJ for SW? He only created few millionaires for the 8 years he was there..and that was it. Is that the same thing you want when even Joe Igbokwe becomes president of Igbo extraction in 2023? No way. We need far-reaching structural changes. |
"Chief Gani Fawehnmi said about the Igbo in 1998. Hear Gani “ The Igbo by their contribution to the economic development of this country are otherwise called the Jews of Nigeria. They are very hard-working, very industrious, very innovative and very articulate people. The economic development of this country owes much to their contribution. I don’t like the way they have been treated since 1970. They still bear the scars of the Biafran crisis, and they are still being treated as if the civil war is still nascent, which is wrong. They have been kept out of the security forces of this country at the strategic levels, the law enforcement of this country at the most strategic levels, they are ignored, despised by the cabal. Even in the civil service, I do not know how many permanent secretaries are Igbo. I am not sure how many senior police officers are Igbo, and same goes for the Navy, Air Force, and the Army. They are one of the largest groups in this country. In fact, it is a nation within a nation. The major manpower pool of this country is being supplied by the Igbo. I was so angry when Abacha came to establish the Provisional Ruling Council (PRC) and the Igbo were not represented; I went to court to fight the cause of the Igbo. It was after my suit in court, challenging Abacha and asking that PRC composition be set aside by the court until Igbo were given their rightful place that Abacha then reversed the composition of PRC and appointed some Igbo.” Joe Igbokwe --------------------------------------------------------------- Igbos don't care about the presidency for all its worth. They need equal opportunities like the others, including the president, but that is not the ultimate. If you make Joe Igbokwe the president of Igbo extraction, he will be worse than Goodluck Johnathan, who did nothing for his region. All is required, is a fundamental, structural change that will resolve issues of marginalization, injustice, partiality and mediocrity... |
Eddygourdo:Inferior to you, my foot!! What is there to understand? Calling people "intelligent idiots" makes your case worse...You are actually from slimy a sewage...coming from gutter is much better! You are utterly a sewage folk. Now run along!!! |
Eddygourdo:You are as plain and worthless like your Joe. If the north, the SW and the SS that have produced Nigeria presidents, do not have much they have done for their regions, why do you think having, president of Igbo extraction, will make any difference? You are absolutely worse than an "intelligent idiot" |
bantudra:Would you say, your response to the question asked is meaningful? You are floating like the wind. We are talking about born to rule, you are talking about Biafra. You are not intelligent. I leave you now. Bye!!! |
bantudra:They allowed OBJ to compensate the Yorubas for Abiola's death. Was OBJ the choice of his people from SW? No. Why did they allow only two Yorubas to contest? They have ruled 42 years of the countries 56, so what are you all about? You see you are ignorant and not well informed. |
bantudra:Is rotational presidency in the constitution? You are scared about Biafra and you have your made already made up? So nothing will make sense to you other than to maintain the status quo, while cheating other people of their natural resources...Have you heard that private refineries are burnt in your SS, but miners of GOLD in the north are not even arrested? You are fake. You are definitely not from the so-called SS. Even if you do, one of your parents must be from the north or SW. |
bantudra:Did I dispute that? He called them 5% after the election, but called all Nigerians baboons and monkeys before the election. Ask people around you if you have no idea...Biafra is the best way to go, where every region in the new country will have a completely fresh beginning and sense of belonging. No group will be too powerful with "born to rule mentality". Why would people move from bad to worse? |
bantudra:I now see that you are utterly mischievous and created this thread to look for trouble. There was no 5% when he made the comment, as the election was not held then. You see your life, your lies, your deceit and your evil starring you in your tiger marked face? |
bantudra:Why will there be a problem, when rotational presidency will be in the constitution and every people are allowed to put their demands like resource ownership, in the Bill of rights, before the new country starts...No group shall be more powerful than the other. It would be modelled like the US. So what is your problem? |
bantudra:You come across as a slave. What did you say to the man that called you baboons and monkeys...who will soak in their blood if election is rigged? The man eventually won an election and he is your president! Check am nooooow.... |
FKO81:Abakaliki city is fast developing and really nice.. |

If Nigeria is normal, why would the Yorubas be picked up and paraded as criminals, when the fight at Ile Ife was between two parties? In which kingdom do you have some inmates better than the others? How many Fulani herdsmen, killing people, have been paraded on TV? The federal government is responsible for all the sh*t it's getting! |
maclatunji:OP, if you can answer these questions honestly...put yourself in the position of the easterners...then we can come to some form of agreement!! Yoruba: Under what conditions would you support “One Nigeria” and let go of the Biafra agitation and let it die down, finally laid to rest for good? Biafra agitator: Close down Lagos ports and open up Port Harcourt, Calabar, Onitsha and Warri ports. • Cancel all direct and major connecting flights to Lagos and Abuja airports, allowing only local connecting flights. While this is being done, open up Enugu, Owerri, Asaba, Uyo and Port Harcourt to direct international and major connecting flights. • Ask all international and diplomatic missions to move their embassies and consulates from Lagos, Kano and Abuja to Enugu, Port Harcourt and Calabar. • All Federal Government agencies in Lagos and Abuja shall be relocated to Enugu, Port Harcourt and Calabar. Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), etc., shall and must relocate to Port Harcourt, Calabar and Enugu. • All multinational companies in Lagos and Abuja, shall and must relocate their offices to Port Harcourt, Calabar and Enugu. • All oil companies must relocate their head offices to Port Harcourt, as the oil capital of Nigeria. • Let the northern children gain admission into federal schools with 300 score points while the South-East children should gain admission with only 20 score points. • Let all federal road projects in the North/South-West be handled by one local company and the one in the South-East/South-South be handled by Julius Berger and foreign construction companies. If these conditions can be fulfilled and implemented for 50 years, we can try one Nigeria and let’s see if you the North and South-West will like it for a month… • Also, Yoruba and Hausa needing to get international visas shall travel to Port Harcourt, Calabar or Enugu to do that. Same with flying or connecting flights; with shipping and importing their goods, etc. Yoruba: You can’t be serious, this is wickedness… Biafra agitator: Really? Don’t you think the south-eastern part of Nigeria has been suffering and enduring this very same wickedness for over 50 years? Yoruba (quiet for a few seconds): Wow, you are right but it never occurred to me… |

Chimamanda Ngozi-Adichie’s novel “Americanah” has won the “One Book, One New York” campaign by the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment and BuzzFeed. The office said on Monday that New Yorkers cast their ballots for the book throughout February and said they wanted millions of residents to read it simultaneously. It stated that the voting which took place in February, were both online and at interactive digital kiosks on subway platforms. The office added that “finally, Americanah was the book most New Yorkers wanted to read, as 50,000 voters who participated in the #OneBookNY campaign voted for it.” It explained that New Yorkers were encouraged to form their own book clubs and discussions around the book, which detailed the story of a Nigerian couple that left military-ruled Nigeria. The office said Americanah centred around two young Nigerian lovers who departed for different cities in the Western world and later reunited in a democratic Nigeria. Ifemelu, the protagonist, headed for America, where her life as an immigrant changed her perspective on race and identity. Before being reunited in their homeland, the female protagonist, Ifemelu, was forced to confront new issues of race and class in the United States, and her lover, Obinze, blocked from joining her due to post-9/11 travel restrictions, struggled for dignity as an undocumented immigrant in London. Published in 2013, Ngozi-Adichie’s novel won a National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction and was named one of The New York Times “Ten Best Books of the Year.” The office said New Yorkers could access the full audio-book version for 90 days through a city partnership with the digital reading subscription company, Scribd. It noted that they could also borrow one of the thousands of additional copies donated by publishers and other organisations to New York City’s public library systems. It stated that “in partnership with the digital library and subscription service, Scribd, the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment will provide free 90-day access to full ‘Americanah’ audiobook through June.” It announced that the office would host events like film screenings and panel discussions to drum up excitement about the book and get New Yorkers talking about it in the upcoming months. Other books voted on included “Between the World and Me” by Ta-Nehisi Coates, “The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao” by Junot Diaz, “The Sellout” by Paul Beatty and “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn” by Betty Smith. jollymizzle:See fear? When you publicly state that you want Kanu dead for nothing, you should expect a repercussion...For peace to reign at least for now, he should be released along with other political prisoners. |
bantudra:Why is this a propaganda? Were the three men not charged with same offense as Kanu? Why were they released...? Forget about zoo and reason about this, first. |
bantudra:"...declaring ultimatums and attacking soft targets day and night" You mentioned soft target first, but when it was used for you, it becomes your foot...You come across as uneducated, going by the way you reason... |
bantudra:When Awo, Obj and Diya did theirs, did they do it with closed eyes? Why are they not finished? OBJ went on to become a president...When will you be able to see things clearly...? You thrive on lies and hypocrisy... |
bantudra:Yes you had the weapons but went after soft targets like schools, hospitals, churches and markets...When that didn't work, Awo contrived starvation policy...But the brave Biafran soldiers went for hard targets like the military...Check the records...If Biafrans hard a third of the weapons Nigeria soldiers had...Lagos would have fallen since... |
bantudra:Check your records. More Nigerian soldiers died in the war than the Biafran soldiers. FACT! So what are you all about? |
bantudra:Like Awo policy of starvation met the Biafran soldiers on the battle field? Now, who is COWARD here? |

Would the president listen...? When Aisha Buhari said the same thing, she was moved to the other ROOM ![]() |
Both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Muhammadu Buhari remain in shock and are yet to find the appropriate words to reply Kaduna State governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, whose letter criticizing the President and the party for poor handling of issues of governance was leaked to the media on Thursday and has been trending since then. In the memo, dated September 22, 2016, but which went viral Thursday, el-Rufai, a dye-in-the-wool loyalist of Buhari, noted that his warning became necessary, because his political future was intrinsically tied to that of Buhari, adding that: “poll after poll in Kaduna State, before and after the 2015 elections, clearly shows that my fate, politically and otherwise, is uncannily tied to yours. If you do well, I stand to benefit immensely. If you do not do well sir, whatever I try to do in Kaduna matters little to my present and any future political trajectory.” “There is a perception that your ministers, some of whom are competent and willing to make real contributions, have no clear mandate, instructions and access to you. Ministers are constitutional creations, Mr. President, and it is an aberration that they are expected to report to the Chief of Staff on policy matters,” el-Rufai noted. He also echoed the insinuation in some quarters that appointments into Buhari’s government was lopsided, in favour of a particular section of the country, saying: “There is a strong perception that your inner circle or kitchen cabinet is incapable, unproductive and sectional. The quality and the undue concentration of key appointments to the North-East and exclusion of South-East are mentioned as evidence of this.” Shocked by the turn of events, APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, said that the memo from el-Rufai to the President needed to be studied, stressing that the national leadership of the party would study it even though he described it as the governor’s legitimate views. Chief Odigie-Oyegun and the National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, who reacted to the bomshell, stated that given the number of pages and the issues raised, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party would need some time to study it. Assuring that the party would make its comments public after studying the memo, the ruling party also stated that the legitimate views of the governor had turned out to be of concern to Nigerians. In his words: “We will study it and comment later publicly. We thought it was a private memo to the President, but we will look at it and if we have any suggestions to make, we will make them later. It concerns Nigerians and his legitimate views, which he has expressed. We will see how it concerns us, the party and the nation and if there is need, we will comment on it subsequently.” Similarly, APC spokesperson, simply quipped: “We are just studying it and we will respond very soon. It is a 30 -page memo, therefore we have to study it conclusively.” Kaduna based lawyer, Mr. Wahab Page, said the Kaduna State governor, exhibited rare courage in the face of sycophancy by writing the letter to President Buhari over the inability of the ruling party to manage expectation of Nigerians after two years in office. This was even as the governor’s aides yesterday kept mute over the issue, and completely refused to say a word about the letter. When Saturday Sun contacted el-rufai’s spokesman, Samuel Aruwan, through text message and phone calls, there was pin drop silence. He did not pick his calls or reply the text messages. Ditto the Special Adviser on political matters and inter-governmental affairs, Honourable Uba Sani. Attempts to get presidential spokesmen, Femi Adesina and Garba Shehu, to respond to the issues raised in the letter did not yield any response as they refused to speak on the matter. A highly placed official in the presidency, however, said the President was shocked that the content of a supposed private letter to him was leaked to the media. http://sunnewsonline.com/el-rufais-memo-shocks-buhari-apc/ |
babyfaceafrica:..all these people MUST come from the north...even when the president comes from the south? All of you are just too scared to say the reason... This is the reason. Nigeria, as it is now, belongs to the north...People are second-class citizens in their own country...This is why there are agitations to split the country...to form a better country where everybody can aspire to any position, without some positions being reserved for people from a section of the country...TRUTH!!! I am outta of here!!! |
