To escape from Abacha....

"I disguised with a huge turban and babanriga and escaped into Benin Republic on a motorbike. My old Hausa friend gave the clothes to me. In fact, when I appeared to Kudirat Abiola, she didn’t know that I was the one! I gave her some information and some briefing. I left at 1 a.m. While in Benin Republic, I was still coming to Badagry to ferry people, organise and coordinate the struggle with others on ground. We put a group together, ferrying NADECO people across. It was a very challenging time. I can’t forget people like Segun Maiyegun and other young guys in the struggle. I would come from Benin to hold meetings with them and sneak back. The military created a whole lot of momentum around me. They took over my house, guest house and carted away all my vehicles and property to Alagbon. That is why today, I don’t have old photographs. They took eight of my cars away" Bola Tinubu.

Who wish that the Igbos must continue to be marginalized? Now tell me where Igbos are happy when the Yorubas didn't get what is due to them...like the Lagos 3rd mainland bridge, the Lagos-Ibadan road, and Lagos-Ibadan-Ilorin-Kano rail system? What most ibos lack that the North has (which the North is actually loosing) is sincerity. Is it Ojukwu that told successive weak and unimaginative leaders not to use the best talents they have to achieve economic growth, but rather chose nepotism, tribalism and selfish mediocrity...? You easily come across as one of those despicable leaders, Nigeria has always had...That's the reason I chose to comment for Biafra...Do you see the talents, this present administration is using...Where do you think they will lead Nigeria...? President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated Ms Sandie Okoro, for her recent appointment as Senior Vice President and General Counsel, World Bank Group.

The President also extended the same felicitations to Ms Nnemkadi Ogwunike on her record breaking achievements in the U.S. Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) League.

The two congratulatory messages were signed by the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa on Monday in Abuja. The President described Okoro’s track record in the banking sector as impressive, which has brought a rekindled hope that “Nigerians in the Diaspora with the right atmosphere, are professionally excellent”. Buhari said that “having followed her excellent track records in making Nigeria proud as a nation, there is no doubt in my mind that the sky is your beginning’’. The president also said Nigeria received the victory of Nnemkadi Ogwunike as the 2016 Most Valuable Player of U.S. WNBA League with utmost pride and deep sense of appreciation to the country. “We were even more excited to learn that you have led your team to clinch the 2016 League Championships, a feat that has been achieved by your team, the Los Angeles Sparks, since 2003. “It is even more befitting and admirable that, as a true African and Nigerian daughter, you have set a remarkable example for your younger Sister, Chiney Ogwunike. “She (Chiney) joined you to make world history in 2014, when selected by the Connecticut Sun as the Number One draft pick achieved by your team, the Los Angeles Sparks, since 2003’’. “The legacy you began in 2012, with your selection by the Los Angeles Sparks, making both of you, the second set of siblings to ever be selected number one in any American Sports. “I am truly proud of both of you, and urge you to continue to extol the virtues and strengthen of Nigerian heritage. Your shinning example serves as inspiration to the youths of Nigeria,” the president added. (NAN)

Village boys arrested for stealing 30 human skulls:

Monday, November 7, residents of Arikuyeri village, in Iyana-Offa, Lagelu Local Government Area of Oyo State, believed that the caving in of many graves around was as a result of ageing of the burial places...A gang of human skull thieves had actually been at work. They had been roaming the village and exhuming “biscuits,” as skulls are referred to in their secret parlance. In the night, the elements had always dug the graves for skulls, fresh or stale.

“When Rilwan began to mention names, we couldn’t believe it. He told us he was not alone in the business. He mentioned Sule, Muideen, Ibrahim and the Baba Isegun of Arikuyeri.”

You can't just make people move from their ancestral land because they lost or won a referendum. The right thing to do, in my opinion, is to setup a reconciliation committee to address the issues that those who voted against it want to be addressed.
I think you are putting the cart before the horse here. Several groups exist in the south to for the independence of the south. It is just that IPOB is more aggressive...There are BILIE group, Lower Niger Congress, and others...Before referendum will be agreed, the leaders of all the ethnic group will meet to agree on modalities of the union...all interests and concerns will be aggregated and agreed...Definitely Nigeria template will never come into play and no ethnic group shall be powerful than the others...at the beginning the format for power sharing at the center, will rotate among agreed regions. I give you example...Enugu state has 3 senatorial zones, and governors rotate among them after every 8 years...and there has been peace...

You are igbo , you come here to argue about how our region is better than other region. After seeing so many likes, you feel you have achieved a lot and you go back to bed fulfilled and feeling like a boss.

But we have another Igbo man, who works day and night on a project to see the Igbo dream come alive. He hasn't engaged in any fight with anybody neither does he spend time arguing. He is trying to see a way a final solution to our teeming problems will be solved.

I have been to many places in this country, not that many of these places are superb, to be frank, I careless about those areas. The one thing that touches me about these places is that, I still see my brothers hanging around there and believing God for a miracle.

A case scenario: I was working in Daura. My project spanned throughout Katsina. I was able to see how these places are. From Maiadua to Jibia. From Funtua to Katsina town, etc. So one night, I was coming back from work to rest in my apartment in Daura. I decided to get toiletries. Close to where I was buying, I saw a man selling something. He spoke Igbo to his son that they should pack that its already late. I was moved to speak with him because he is my brother. I asked him what he was doing in Daura, he said he is trading. I got very angry and told him that, even if he opens this shop in the remotest village, he will still be successful. Why put you and your family in danger by coming to Daura to trade. Not even for a short time but till you grow old. He got angry too that what's my concern. I shouted at him that he should go back home and stop putting his children in danger. I was so vexed that I nearly wanted to scatter his business.

ogini k'unu ne me ne be?

what sort of downgrade is this?

If you think they are pursuing you in your village, no one is pursuing you in the next village. okay.

We need as a matter of urgency look into the development of the region.

I was in heartland hotel, Abuja where IMO state house is. The receptionist was just called that her brother's house in Kaduna south was burnt and he wants to relocate back home. I was very sad to see that my people just spend so much money to later regret every move. its very sad!

If you are Igbo and you are staying in the following areas:

Sabin Gari
Funtua
suleja
minna
badawa
gwagalada
zuba
nyanya
orile
ilaje
makoko
ilara mokin
sarki

and other crazy places.

What are you doing there? is it the ten kobo that you are making that you can't make at home?

It is time to go home! invest home now.
Thank you bro for this...Igbo please, please, please...Go home...even if you have to do it in phases...Relocate to Enugu, Awka, Asaba Umuahia, Owerri, Abakaliki...There are many things you can do...You can build estates, hotels, school, shopping malls, industries and other businesses...There are lands in these cities...

The NPC represents the North; it is more than half of the country in size and population. If you did that, you will elbow out the North and the North might think of breaking away from the country. They told Zik, “Look you were in the forefront for the struggle of the independence of the country and you wanted an independent , united Nigeria. If you did this , you will be breaking up Nigeria. That was not your wish.” And Zik did the right thing, he agreed to enter into alliance with the NPC.

I hope my brother's from the East can read that statement clearly without bias. Igbo's were the first to ethnic group to form an alliance with the north and not the West has our Eastern brother's will want younger generation to believe.
Now they have decided they don't want the alliance again...So why calling them Bia-fraud!!! tongue
