SmartPolician: Peter Obi hasn't seen anything yet.
Anywhere they invite him, he must attend.
Even when he has to interact with riffraffs in the presidential election, he will be there exchanging ideas with them.
I liked Atiku for attending a presidential debate and leaving when Buhari wasn't there.
Give some regards to yourself.
What was Peter Obi doing in a town hall meeting that the candidates of the ruling party didn't consider important to attend? Atiku left a presidential debate not a town hall meeting. Peter Obi's decision to keep interacting is the major reason he has a large pull of loyalists. He should keep it that way regardless. I was very indifferent about this election until I listened to him on Arise tv and Channels. Kenyamo cannot convince me to vote Tinubu. I am not ma.d. |

Under Obasanjo when no president was spending the savings how many governors moved to deplete the saving after Jonathan was discovered to be spending the money why won't other governor support sharing the money instead of one criminal deciding to spend it on their behalf or you are oblivious to why the governors wanted the money shared according to the federation account ratio.

Former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi has revealed that state governors during the last administration shared billions among themselves.
Obi said this on Wednesday morning while analysing the state of the economy on Channels TV.
He recalled how the former Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala begged the State Governors at the time to save for the future in the Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF), a programme that was meant to save fund for the nation, but most of them refused and shared the money.
Obi said, “Over the years, things have gone wrong, I remember Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala crying every day to governors to save these monies and invest in the Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF), a programme that was meant to save fund for the nation to cater for a rainy day as presently experienced.
“All of us disagreed and said let’s share it. some governors even went to court to get the federal government to allow them to share the money among themselves. ”
Further speaking, Obi called on the federal government to stop borrowing as they keep plunging Nigeria into poverty.
“Borrowing for consumption will not grow the economy, it gets to a state where you can’t control it. The amount being used to service our debt today is high, we use almost 60% to service them and we are borrowing more, it’s escalating.
“World Bank and IMF have warned Nigeria against rising debt.
“You are borrowing money and the issues that it was supposed to affect is not coming down. Unemployment is worsening. Our unemployment rate moved from 14.8% to 18.8% this year, which means more people have lost their jobs.
“The economy is shrinking, the entire capital votes this year ‘is’ borrowed, and we have existing debts already. Poverty is increasing, out of school children have moved from 10 million to almost 12 million,” Obi added. Those in support of depleting Nigeria's huge savings1. Rotimi Amaechi 2. Politics › Re: Top 10 States With Highest NIN Enrolments As Of October 2022 by copyrites: 5:05am On Nov 03, 2022 |
FreeStuffsNG: Again, my hypothesis of low population of the south east is indicative.
From the clean data of JAMB that matches states of origin of candidates regardless of where they sit for exam which showed low population for SE to final list of INEC registration which shows low population of SE, data from internet subscription and now NIN enrolment registration where no SE state made it to the top 10, the south east does not only have a small land mass but consistently has a low population in all these data. It is so low compared to the Hausa, Yoruba and Fulani.
These are numbers and they do not have emotion. The JAMB data was particularly revealing as low number of SE indigenes register and sit for exams outside the 5 SE states.
These clean data come with biometrics, matched with states of origin and registered GSM numbers so more reliable than manual population census.
My questiin is that for how long have we overstated our population especially the South East population and who are those benefiting from these long years of over stating population? Are those 5 states actually justified if with low SE population and small land mass compared to states that are more in both population and land mass compared to the whole SE, yet there is still no phenomenal development per capita in SE?
There has not been a famine or disaster in the SE so we can not be considering sharp decline in population so the more obvious is that SE has always had a low population but overstated just like other tribes do but their own seems to be most apparent now. Nobody is overstating the population of the SE. Blame the illiterates that have continued to classify every non-Yoruba speaking southerner as "Igbo." We have people from Rivers, Delta, Akwa Ibom, and Edo who get insulted everyday in Nigeria and even here on Nairaland for supporting Peter Obi. They call them iPOB. More so, your JAMB analysis is not enough to understand anything. It is meaningless. Why can't you use the same NIN? People provide their state-of-origin data via NIN so why is the authority scared to provide that NIN-based state of origin data? The authority should provide a break-down of the registered Nigerians in Lagos by state of origin. Lets know the actual population of Lagos indigenes and the rest of the states living in Lagos. |

These are the words of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu 22 years agoFollowing a tough statement by [b]Minister for Information Jerry Gana reiterating the federal government's opposition to the use of the OPC and other ethnic militia, Bola Tinubu responded as follows: "OPC can flush out criminals in Lagos, they have done so, wonderfully, well before, and I have the capability as the chief security officer of the state to control the excesses of the group, should any of the members misbehave […] They were doing well before they became hired thugs and it was only a few of them; they are part of our citizens anyway and we should just encourage them, they might be OPC or any other group but they are Nigerians." https://www.hrw.org/report/2003/02/28/oodua-peoples-congress-opc/fighting-violence-violence#_ftnref149Will Tinubu keep up this energy if he becomes the President? Politics › Tinubu Set Up LAWMA In 2007 When He Was Leaving Office by copyrites(op): 11:21am On Oct 31, 2022 |
First things first, the first civilian governor of the state, Alhaji Lateef Jakande had already set the goal for modern waste management in the state over 30 years ago. So don't be f00led. Lagos was not a dump hill before Tinubu.
If there was no waste management agency, why did Tinubu not set up one in his first term in office? Why wait till the end of his second tenure to have one?
One fact his loyalists won't tell you is that the Lagos Waste Management Agency (LAWMA) was set up by Tinubu as he was leaving office in 2007 to score political goals and to perpetuate the ruling party in power.
One of the "mistakes" Ambode made was reconstituting these foot soldiers of street sweeper in Lagos. It was like taking power (voters) away from Tinubu.
For Tinubu, everything is about power and politics. |
