Family / These Adulthood Realities Give Us Nostalgia About Our Childhood Privileges by CraftParty: 3:48pm On Jun 06, 2022
While still a child, we had no burden and all our needs were well taken care of without us contributing anything to the expenses; we didn’t know what Adulthood was like as we only had to make requests which would further be granted by our parents without telling us what it took them to put smiles on our faces. Now that we’ve become adults, we’ve started realizing that comfort comes at a great cost which oftentimes than not leaves us in discomfort. Some time ago I came back from Work feeling so tired and still had nothing to show for it, I became sober and went into my Grandma’s room to ask her “Ma! Why didn’t you people tell me that this is how demanding adulthood is? Why was I not told on time? I would have come prepared!!”

Lade; the beautiful voice behind the famed Airtel 444 advert theme song just released a new song which has been making waves on the Internet titled “Adulthood Anthem (Adulthood Na Scam)” in which she reminisced about our Childhood worry-free life which has been stolen from us by adulthood. This brings us to the theme of the Article which is on the Adulthood Realities that give us Nostalgia About our Childhood days. Lade – Adulthood Anthem.

Back in the days when we were still kids, it was always guaranteed that we’ll come back home from school to a Lunch, if it starts to rain, we would be out dancing under the rain not minding the risk of illness we were exposing ourselves to. Whenever we fall sick and we’re given drugs, we’ll take some and throw some away, not minding the cost of the drugs. Try this Now as an Adult! Just A reminder of the cost alone would discourage such a thought. Now think about the pay cut you’ll be getting for being absent from work for too long (as a result of you throwing away your drugs without getting fully well), you wouldn’t dare try that now as an Adult.

As kids, pocket money was sure for us, money for the little things that meant a lot to us back then. The thought of saving rarely crossed our minds because of the certainty that another pocket money from our Dad will land as the current one finishes.

Who paid house rent as a kid? Did any of us as kids worry about paying our house rents, paying the electricity bills, stocking the house with foodstuffs, worrying about school fees, and buying clothes for celebrations like Christmas and Eid el-Fitr, as our parents did? NO, we didn’t.

Adulthood came with a lot of eye-opening realities as Lade mentioned in her song “Adulthood Anthem (Adulthood na scam)”. “If you no get, na you sabi” just as it is, everybody has the struggles they face as adults, the struggles that come with adulthood, every man for themselves.
Take me back to the days when it was just to play and sleep! This adulthood came too soon. The days when the sight of a visitor in the house gave us joy because of that money they’d give us as they leave. The days we kept Mummy’s change for those extra snacks we want to buy in school the next day. Those times when we played football on the streets with the kids from the other street. The usual games we were fond of as kids, the likes of “suweh, after round one, mini minimanimo, who is in the garden, police and thief..” the list goes on and on.

As an adult now, there’s no lunch automatically waiting in the pot for us at home. If we don’t work, we can’t earn money, If we don’t earn money, we can’t cook and if we can’t cook, there’s no food waiting for us in the pot. Do you get the gist now? There’s no “Free money” for us as adults now, the way it was for us as kids. We’re now stuck in the triangle of Job (hustle)—Money—Survival.

The way life was when we were kids cannot be compared to how life is now that we are adults, there’s a visible difference. We can all agree that life now as adults are difficult and can only be survived with a lot of necessities that we have to acquire for ourselves. It is no longer the usual system of getting money from our parents to take care of ourselves. Now, we have to work to get money to reciprocate the care and support they showered on us as kids.

This is something every one of us can relate to, we can all say that adulthood has brought a lot of responsibilities to us we never worried about as kids. Our silent prayer is that we all be able to take on those responsibilities without difficulty. Adulthood might be a scam but it’s definitely up to all of us to make it worthy as we live through it.

Music/Radio / Bella Shmurda "World": Lyrics & Review by CraftParty: 8:54am On Apr 02, 2021
After “Moving Fast”, Bella Shmurda Promises Not To Lose Himself In "World"

After revealing in his last song that there was a popular discussion among people that he's someone who lives his life "in a Rush", Bella Shmurda drops this new track to make it know that he will never Lose Himself to the World!!

Dangbana Republic Youngstar Bella Shmurda Drops new Song "World" Talking about the Ills of the Present Society.

Bella Shmurda who became a Nigerian music Sensation just after his Vision 2020 Song and then he went ahead to make the remix with Olamide Baddoo has come through to drop another Banging song which he titled “World” and in this song Bella Shmurda Took his time to mention the various ills of the present society - ranging from the rising Public practice of Gay Relationship and Marriage all over the world – An act of Men getting married to Fellow Men, And Women getting Married to Women as well – which is regarded as a Taboo in the Holy Bible; Bella Shmurda being a Christian made his view known regarding this Practice.

On Another Note, Fine Boy Bella didn’t fail to let it be known that all the unusual happenings are signs of the Biblical End-Time and revelation of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ – from time to time we do come across news of a Father getting in Bed with his Daughter, Pastors confessing to using fetish Powers to perform Miracles, Church of Satan growing in membership everyday and according to Bella Shmurda; Some Rich Men Worships Lucifer….

Checkout some Notable Lyrics of the Song Below:

“If I Ever Lie to the World”
“I can Never Lie to Myself”
“If I ever Lose to the Word”
“I can never lose to myself”
“If I ever Run from the World”
“I can Never Run From Myself”
“Even I don’t see nobody”
“I’ll always see myself”
“Sea Man to the Ground Now”
“Prophesy Coming to Pass”
“Men Marry Men, Women Marry Women”
‘’Nobody fear God, only scared of Death”

Bella Shmurda, well known for trending song Snippets before the Release of the main song obviously to ascertain if his Fans can Vibe to the Song and how acceptable the song would be. Bella Shmurda has some Snippets of Unreleased Songs which are still trending even without dropping the Full Version, thereby keeping his Fans in Suspense (Some of his Fans were of the Opinion that He shouldn’t have released the full version of the “Rush Song” because it was no different from the Song’s Snippet… Please, don’t ask me where I got that Information From! Lol!!). With popular Hits Like “Fade by Davido ft Bella Shmurda”, “Olamide Triumphant ft Bella Shmurda”, “Bella Shmurda Rush (Moving Fast)” and there’s likely a forthcoming collaboration with our StarBoy Wizkid going by the Video they both posted on Instagram and Twitter a Few Weeks ago. Bella Shmurda, in our Humble Opinion; is the New Rave of the Moment in the Nigerian Music Industry.

Rating the New song “World by Bella Shmurda”, we give it a 10/10

Music/Radio / Re: My Review of "Pami" by DJ Tunez ft "Wizkid", Omah Lay and Adekunle Gold by CraftParty: 2:06pm On Aug 17, 2020
lablonclacla:
Wizkid is still the greatest musician in Nigeria......forget all this burna hype. When we talk of range i.e how you can easily jump on any genre of song and still deliver well. Wizkid does it 100% e.g this jam called PAMI. He does afrobeats, afro fusion, afro pop, reggae dancehall, Caribbean and so on and so forth.

You see the problem is, time makes us easily forget how good this guy is which is understandable. Another major reason is the fact that wizkid doesn't do giveaways and all and so a lot of influencers don't like him at all. So the best option is to bad mouth him and i guess the best selling of all is the fact that he has Zero lyrics. Lol....well, i would give just five songs that have deep lyrics that you all can go check out.

1. Oluwa loni
2. Joy
3. Mummy mi
4. Thank you
5. Ease your mind

You could say these are his old songs but No.5 was released just last year in his last Ep but it isn't popular, you know why.......Nigerians want vibes and beat more than lyrics.

Let me quote a verse from Ease your mind

"Many thing don really open my eyes
Many things don happen wey don open my mind
Things don happen for my life, we make me realize
Sey, many things go happen, and it's real fine
Never let the small talks but the money get to me
I dey work, I dey pray, omo nothing worry me
I put my body on my grind, let the money control me
Sey, my sound dem dey bus', they can't open their jaws
Some days, it fi be like sey your rain no pour
Hear my brother, even if it be like days too long
Even if it be like sey your light no come
Just ease your mind
You know sey, this life na turn by turn
When your time come, my brother, no go gone
When your thing come, my brother, no go rush
Just ease your mind"

This is a beautiful piece up there that is supposed to garner a lot of reviews but did anybody say anything?? No!! The simple answer is this isn't what we want but Joro and soco is known everywhere lol.

Lastly, wizkid has been in the game for more than a decade and is still the biggest. He is the highest and most streamed artiste in Africa forget all the hype of others. He was the first to fill up the mighty o2 arena in london and also the royal albert hall. He has a day in Minnesota called wizkid day. He was the first African artiste to win BET international act and has the highest BET award in Nigeria. He was the first to win MOBO awards too. The only African to have a song on billboard world chat for 15 weeks straight "One Dance" written by him. The pioneer of Africans getting their award on the main stage instead of back stage. He was part of those who made live band for a secular musician in Nigeria attractive. He has tbe biggest shows in Nigeria. Facially he is the citezt too. See, i no fit finish wizzy catalogue jare.

Summary of all these is the fact that he doesn't hype himself and make noise or do giveaways doesn't change the fact that he is the biggest African artiste.

I'll drop a list of 100 songs of wizkid that blew and you will please counter ot with anyone who has as much hit as this BEAST we are underating.

Music/Radio / My Review of "Pami" by DJ Tunez ft "Wizkid", Omah Lay and Adekunle Gold by CraftParty: 6:38am On Aug 15, 2020
Ever since DJ’s and Music Producers Began featuring Top, Trending and Talented Artistes to drop Singles and even go as far as releasing albums in their name, with some acting as voice-over artistes, and some does not even drop a word through-out the song duration, we’ve seen top-charting hits, from Dj Exclusive ft Wizkid – Jeje to Larry Gaga ft Davido – Doe, and finally, to DJ Cuppy’s forthcoming Album featuring several A and B-list Artistes even knowing full well she may not drop a word on the songs –or it might become an instant flop just like her single “Gelato” in which she featured “Zlatan” (don’t quote me, please!..... Cause I go Comot your teeth Just Now!).

Starboy Entertainment Record official Disc Jockey “DJ Tunez” just began featuring artistes and pushing beyond his “DJ Career” with his recent releases in which he featured several recording Artistes, with “Cool Me Down” featuring Wizkid which was released late last month being his most recent release; before now. DJ Tunez ft Wizkid – Cool Me Down didn’t go down so well with the fans and didn’t perform as much as expected and that presumably prompted this top Knotch collaboration on “Pami”.

Wizkid has been receiving a lot of backlash from fans and music critics of recent due to his ongoing experiments on “Sounds From The Other Side” (as he may call it!).

Wizkid seems to have read all criticism and decided to bring back his ‘Default’ Sound which we all had loved since Day one, even before he became ‘Daddy Yo’, with an Impressive Lead on this new DJ Tunez Collaboration alongside Rave of the Moment Omah Lay and Adekunle Gold.

Dj Tunez ft Wizkid, Omah Lay and Adekunle Gold – Pami has been on my Repeat non-stop since it was released and with how Impressive Wizkid delivered and led the song Vibes, this song would Cling to my ear throughout this Weekend till Next week –maybe when I receive an Alert of 1 Million by Next Week (of course you should know that no Hit Track Jams more than the ‘tune’ of a ‘Heavy Bank Alert’)…. But if no massive Bank Alert, omo na “Pami” till Month-end be that oo. Lol!

Coming to Adekunle Gold’s Verse on Pami, AG baby is our baby and will forever be as long as he gives us what we expect. We all know AG baby style of music is outstanding ever since the days of SADE, Mr Gold brought more calmness to the beat and did justice as expected (Somebody call the popo) Just listen again and observe what he did.

Omah Lay: This right here, I will call him a cheat in the music industry, his style of music is second to none, and I believe he still has a lot to unveil. Please permit me to say he did so well that he meets the standard of Wizkid and Adekunle Gold on this particular track, he bounced and flowed so well that he gave no room for horseplay.

Credit: This Review was Collaborated by Craft Party and Mr Olamilekan.

Editors Take: If Wizkid keeps on this sound and ‘Default Vibe’, his Album would be a Global hit and “Twice as Tall” when compared to the Self-Acclaimed African Giant’s 2019 Hit Album which was tagged “African Giant”.

What are your thoughts?

Celebrities / Don't You Think Wizkid Should Start Hiring Songwriters? by CraftParty: 8:59am On Aug 01, 2020
Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid is a Nigerian Music Star who rose to stardom after being signed to Banky W's E.M.E. Record Label in 2009, after which he went ahead to release his first hit song titled "Holla at Your Boy" a year later; which shot him to fame.

The release of Wizkid's "Holla at Your Boy" opened so many doors, and recognition for him, and that also made him a household name in Nigeria.

A few years after his first hit song, Wizkid went ahead to release more hits which cemented his name among the Top award-winning African Artistes, became a certified hit-maker and got a fanbase which identifies themselves as Wizkid FC.

We all Loved Wizkid (we still do). We had (we always do!) so much confidence in Him, to the extent we believe he doesn't hire nor have there been any need for him to employ a songwriter because we see him as very talented. In contrast, a lot of music-lovers believe he's more talented than his counterpart Davido who often hires the services of songwriters.

A few years down the line, Wizkid dominated the African Music Industry, got laudable record deals, got endorsements from many respected Brands; which includes but not limited to Pepsi, M.T.N. and Glo.

Wizkid's inconsistency started when he began to sought-after international recognition after presumably having a strong African Fan base and a firm grip on the African Audience.

Wizkid's need to be internationally recognized and well-known led to his extended stays in Europe and America, trying hard for months to get a feature with an international artiste. At first, his quest for International recognition bore him a fruit after his record-collaboration with Drake on "One Dance" alongside British singer, Kyla.

Drake's One Dance ft Wizkid and Kyla became the best performing song of the year on Apple Music; Topped the United States Billboard for 10 non-consecutive weeks after its release, and it was later named the "Billboard" Song of the Year, 2016. The song won so many awards, but it didn't just stop at that, as it helped Wizkid became the first Nigerian Artiste to Chart and Top the United States Hot 100 Billboard.

After that first successful collaboration with Drake, Wizkid landed another one on "Come Closer" featuring drake which became an instant hit as well and topped music charts in Africa and beyond, the song also recorded success in many European Countries - UK, Canada, France, United States, Scotland, Netherland, Switzerland, and the list goes on and on.

Although Drake never came closer after the recording of that song by failing to appear in the Music Video, Wizkid's "Come Closer" was an instant hit.

The songs, as mentioned earlier, helped Wizkid become an International Act, neglecting the African Audience while working hard to fit into the foreign life, European and American music-pattern.

Since Wizkid began pushing for more International Recognition, he has hardly been in Nigeria. At the same time, his closest-rival Davido completely took over the Nigerian and African Music Industry by serving the Audience straight Hit-after-hit to the extent that Wizkid's fans even began liking his songs more since our 'Daddy Yo' already became a "Yo! Yo! Yo!" Artiste and nurturing an American Ascent, while paying less attention to his African grass-root without which he wouldn't have made it to the limelight.

A lot of Wizkid's Fans have registered their displeasure over his new Pattern, inconsistency and instability as he's deviating from the Starboy Wizkid we know (or should I say, we knew!). Also, his fans seem not to be comfortable or even feeling the new Sound he's coming up with. That alone is evident in his "Soundman Volume 1" 2019 E.P. Release in which only 1 Song saw the limelight and was liked by fans, the song which represented the long-known Wizkid Brand was titled "Blow ft Blaq Jerzee".

Lately, after so many rescheduling of Album release date, Wizkid finally made it known via His Instagram Story that he'll be releasing his fourth studio Album Tagged "Made In Lagos" on July 16th with Production credits to Sarz, Mut4y, London (Mavin Records Producer), Juls, and other producers, and collaborations with Skepta, Ella Mai, Burna Boy and a host of other top artistes.

Wizkid announce made in Lagos Album Behold, again, on July 16th, 2020 which also happened to be his birthday, Wizkid failed to release the much-anticipated "Made in Lagos" Album, but instead, he released a song from the forthcoming Album titled "Smile" featuring American Singer H.E.R.

Wizkid's Smile ft H.E.R. didn't go down well with the fans as it fell short of their expectations of Wizkid, and the forthcoming Album could be a flop if all or most of the Tracks sounds similar to the recently released "Smile (ft. H.E.R.)".

Fans seem to have started associating him with 'Inconsistency', as just when he announced July 16th as the Album Release date, a fan with the handle @OmoIyaoG Jokinly reacted to the news on twitter as thus: "Na anything wey Wizkid give us July 16th we go take Whether na Album, Single,Track list, Album cover, Zion Picture or A tweet saying "I miss suya" we go take am"

Lol! Check out the Tweet below;

We are of the Opinion that Wizkid should immediately start bringing back his much-loved African/Nigerian tune and music-style so as not to lose his relevance in Nigeria and Africa as a whole because he's currently riding on Past Glory, Unlike Davido who's still churning out Hits after hits non-stop.

He is currently dripping more than he drops hits. If hiring a Song-writer would help him come up with hit songs, I think Wizkid should put that into consideration.

That brings us to these series of Questions;

Is Wizkid still experimenting on his Sound, or just being too lazy to calmly compose dope songs and lyrics?

Does Wizkid now Prefer Fashion to Music?

Why are Wizkid's songs sounding like freestyle lately?

Don't you think Wizkid should start hiring Songwriters to help compose hit songs for him?

Let us know your thoughts!

Celebrities / If Not For Music, These Nigerian Artistes Would Be Fashion Stars by CraftParty: 9:57pm On Jun 01, 2020
Nigerian Music Industry Is Inarguably one of the Best in Africa, as our Artistes are always Topping the Charts, Breaking Records, Picking up almost every African Music- Award, attracting Top International Collaborations and Music Contracts. That alone says a lot about how talented our Musicians are.

But, In Nigeria, we have artistes that are not only good in Music but also very Good in Fashion too. Some of them are good in both Music and Fashion, while some are better in Fashion than Music.

Suffice to say, high fashion taste is one of the features of a good musician. But I wrote this article to tell you about Nigerian Artistes that would likely perform better in Fashion. Let’s get it started.

6. Wizkid

Last but not the least on our list is our very dear Starboy ‘Wizkid’. Wizkid is already trying out the Fashion industry and so far, we would say he has been a good fashion model and has shown that he got what it takes to excel in the fashion industry… If Not for Music, Wizkid would be a Fashion Star.

5. Tekno

The number 5 slot goes to the ‘Slim Daddy’ himself; Tekno. Tekno is unarguably one of the most dressed Musicians in Nigerian. Tekno sure knows the rules of fashion as he never goes off with his dressing and colour combination. There’s no doubt he’ll make a good fashion star.

4. Kizz Daniel

Kizz Daniel is another Nigerian Artiste who would also perform better in the fashion industry, judging by his good fashion sense which he never fails to show off in his Pictures, Music Shows, and Music Videos. Right from the time of Kizz Daniel’s Breakout in the music industry, he has been a ‘Fashion Killer’, and even up till now, he has never been caught un-fresh.

3. Ice Prince

The third Artiste on our list is none other than Super Cool Cat Superstar ‘Ice Prince Zamani’. Way before skiibii became famous; Ice Prince was arguably the most fashionable Nigerian Artiste. Ice Prince sure knows how to make any clothing fit him perfectly, be it Suit, Traditional wears, Shirt and tie… Just give it to him. Ice Prince is a Talented Nigerian Artiste, although he has not been making waves and dropping hit Songs lately, aside from music, he would do better being a Fashion Star.

2. Falz

I know many of you would expect to see Falz de Bahd Guy on this list, of course, this list wouldn’t have been complete without mentioning him. Falz is a Talented Nigerian Rapper, Actor and Comedian, it doesn’t just end at that, and he also has a very Good Fashion sense. Falz is very much aware of the fact that he would also excel in the fashion world and that was why he created and made himself the President of “Sweet Boys Association”.

No! I won't Reveal the Number 1 To You grin grin

1. Skiibii

On Top of our list is no other person than the “Daz how Star Do” crooner. By just going through Skiibii’s Instagram Photo updates, you would think he’s even a Fashion Star. From Music Videos, to Music Shows and then, To Photo Updates, Skiibii’s always killing the Fashion... Better than any-other Nigerian Artiste. It’s obvious that skiibii’s major Goal is “Never to be Caught Unfresh”. So, aside Music, Skiibii would do way better being a Fashion Model. A lot of Nigerians believes that Skiibii Dresses more than he sings (please don’t ask me where I got this review from. Lol!).

What do you think about this Write-up? Is there any artiste you think would make a good fashion star too? Drop them in the Comment Section.
