I think both aptana and komodo studio are better than netbeans, when it comes to languages like PHP. I might be wrong, though

how good are you with the web languages you mentioned? have you started working on it? Be specific.

By the way, I don't think 15k is too much for the full application, if that's what you want

Remember every object have properties and method!

in this case "a" is a property of the object you're working on, "a" holds a reference to another object. That object also have a property called b

I want to create a phonebook web app for a site that will have just the group name and the phone numbers. I have no problem with the PHP code, my problem is the design of the MySQL database, as one phonebook name should have many phone numbers, so what's character lenght should I set for the phone numbers or do I use different tables for that?

Please your help is highly appreciated.

Hello guys, please help me with this question.

I managed to save a good part of my first three months allowee as a Corper,that's around 50 thousand naira.

I have no intention of going for a masters program — maybe, except I can finance myself through it — so I been thinking about what to do with this cash as it wasn't easy saving it at all.

No there are no issues with it. Using Visual Studio is way easier and you would fall in love with the IDE.

Nice topic. I personally use Laravel (a php framework) for serious work and wordpress CMS for basic sites, then I use sublime text editor and netbeans IDE, but I'm considering shifting to php-storm IDE. Other random tools I use include pixlr for photo editing, github(still a beginner here), jquery, bootstrap etc.

By platform I mean environments like netbeans and other IDEs, CMSs like joomla, drupal, etc,
frameworks like codeigniter, zend ,etc text editors like notepad etc , dreamwaver ...

What platform do you use in web design / programming and why do you prefer such platform.?

let's share so we'll learn from each other

personally, I use notepadd++ and aptana studio , I don't use cms and frameworks ... for now but might soon
