Please explain better to me how the decision of these companies to use cms justifies your opinion?
Does the fact that Obama uses a blackberry phone make blackberry the best of all choices? Who says these companies/organizations can't make bad decisions too? Do most of them even know anything about what's going on in their website backends ? Who knows if some just contact the most readily available techies around to design those stuffs for them. They just want to see a website up and running quick, who says they care much about how it's built?

What objectionists are saying in brief context is that, Nigerians have not gotten to that point where we should be using cms's . Before these white guys started using cms softwares they've been coding from scratch so why can't Nigerians learn the rudiments from scratch before venturing into cms packages even if they are going to eventually use cms? Most of the cms programmers in Nigeria know no jack about programming and they go about parading themselves as programmers. Some can't even write common html.

This is why it takes them months or even years for them to fix when stuffs goes wrong. Do you know why most of these websites fall easy victim to hackers? The reason isn't far fetched from the fact that their codes are familiar (which makes it easier to find loopholes).

For so long now only a few nigerians have ever done something creative on the Web even when most of them have brilliant idea, and you know why? because of their inability to convert their ideas to reality through codes.
If your idea is unique, you definitely won't find its cms code anywhere.

There's nothing bad in cms packages though if you're building a general stuff like blogs, news site, forums but nothing beats a website created to your own taste. It's easier to fix when things go wrong and usually load time is 5x faster.
.

One more reason why I hate cms is it's bloated code structure. Too many unnecessary stuffs
agree with you, Bro

not sounding negative, but i don't see this coming out soon, me i just want Syntax Highlighter and sadly there are so many free plugins in JS for such.
especially in the programming section, that would be very welcomed indeed.

I never tried or used any other CMS except Drupal. Organisation is top notch and the coding is fantastic. It has a very stable code base. I was impressed with it from the very beginning; thou the learning curve was steep; cry it helped introduced me to PHP in another dimension. All the sites i have done are currently been powered by Drupal.

Also the fastest PHP MVC Framework in town (i stand to be corrected) is Phalcon PHP. You can check it out @ http://phalconphp.com/en/
Its actually fast, you will think your browser have not refreshed during dev. grin grin
phalcom is the fastest PHP framework but then, it's written in c++, so if you want to peek and see what's really going on, that becomes something else. I think other than phalcom, Yii2 is the fastest PHP framework

You are right and not wrong. In Zend you encounter problems and difficulties.

. No need for yaml, no need to specify every route through the site, no need to use twig or smarty, and it comes with integrated bootstrap 3 widgets, right out of the box. Yii 2 also provides an advanced template, with front-end and back-end, with working user model and password recovery, making it easier to get up and running quickly. Yii 2's event and behaviors architecture is feature-rich and intuititive. Yii 2 flows beautifully.

Ultimately, for a capable programmer, it's a matter of personal preference, which style you feel connected to... Persoanlly I prefer Yii 2 far and above the other frameworks, while still respecting the other frameworks.

However, much of this can't be said for Zend2. I must also point out that laravrl has followed this path of over bloatedness, laravel is crappy now
don't just get the laravel hype either. maybe because it's relatively new or something

I love the way you lads have succeeded in painting ZF2 like a horror movie, truth is it is very hard but when you work in a ZF2 centric place, you have no other choice than to blend.
my emphasis is on the word unnecessary . for example just compare the routing management in zf2 and Yii2. Me think that companies that make use of zf2 are rather more concerned with the name and possible prestige than productivity — I may be wrong though

I learn not use WordPress for complex application in 2012 when I decided to build a Bulk SMS portal with, although it works fine but I spent 90% of my useful time working on the project. At the end of the day here is my conclusion about WordPress:
#) See WordPress as a plane that could fly and will take you for a smooth ride. with capability to fly within your country zone.
#) Joomla as a Beautiful Plane that could take you on a ride with enough effizy. This plane could take you from one continent to another without any hitch.
#) Drupal as a super Jumbo Multipurpose engine plane that allow you to add Swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Hotel, Football field, etc to it. The plane will not only take you on intercontinental flight but on inter Galactic flight.
In conclusion trying to build a Complex Project like online store with WordPress is like trying to kill an elephant with a kitchen Knife, while building a simple ;DBlogging website with Drupal is like killin Fly with Bazooka

in zf2, you spend a lot of time writing unnecessary codes which defeats the essence of using a framework. But on the other hand, I love the extensions — especially the web service extensions that comes with it

Me thinks U're not invoking the function after setting it up. What exactly is that code supposed to do? What error message do U keep getting? I'm trying not to assume.
the problem is that when you try to use it to include a html file, it takes it to the very top of the page thereby disrupting any template structure already in place! I have gotten the solution, though
