Really? What would they have translated words like sine, tan, cosine, cotangent, units of measurement to in Igbo?. Fact is there are no words for these things in any African languages not even the most advanced language ( kiswahili). If there is please I want to see them from that Igbo physics textbook. All world imperial languages have exact words for these things all thanks to space missions, I'm an industrial physicist!

- In 1983 Roberts said Jesus had appeared to him in person and commissioned him to find a cure for cancer

- The wife died from a fall at the age of 88
- The daughter, Rebecca died in a plane crash with her hubby in 1977
-His first son,Ronald committed suicide in 1982
- Roberts died Dec 2009 at the age of 91 following complications of Pneumonia!

Oral Roberts mentored many prosperity preachers all over the world and his books are used as a template by many Pastors in Nigeria,Africa and worldwide ! He is said to have mentored the fathers of Pentecostalism in Nigeria!
According to Bro Gbile, the American books and prosperity preachers polluted Christianity in Nigeria in the late 70s and early 80s. They made the gospel transactional and the church gradually lost her fervour!

The big boys in Pentecostal churches in Nigeria adopted the prosperity gospel and started leaving large like their mentor( Oral Roberts) - buying jets, building universities (unaffordable to most church members), living a life of luxury. They also learnt the manipulation skills from him -like telling people if he doesn’t raise $8m within 3 months he would die or that he saw a 900foot tall Jesus who told him to build a hospital! That’s why you see many church leaders lying and exaggerating in the name of Jesus’

Prosperity is good and it is the will of God that we prosper however there is nothing like a prosperity gospel or a prosperity minister! Jesus and the apostles never preached it rather they shared all they had together with the congregation such that no one in church lacked- that’s the true prosperity .
