The problem with some people is that they don't know when to oppose and when not to. Something is obvious, but they'll keep arguing because they can't think. Just oppose for the sake of opposing.

Obi even lied live on TV that he was speaking to airport staff physically, whereas it was on phone he was speaking to them.

You can even imagine him going on live TV to score cheap political points using the Oyo kidnapped victims as a means to denigrate the FG's effort to rescue the victim.

Now since they have been rescued, the lamba and his minions have been on overdrive. Rather than congratulate the safe returns of the victims, they have suddenly turned their anger at the government, asking shameful questions about how much was paid, and the likes. Some even said that they were not sure if those guys were ever kidnapped. Imagine the dirty hearts of these people!

Obi was even comparing the incident with the chibok girls, using it as a way to glorify Jonathan! This is shameful. Whenever there is misfortune, obi rushes there to score political points: using people's problem as a means to push his agenda.


It is evident that they never cared about the victims return. They only saw the kidnap as an opportunity to throw stones at the government. Same way obi saw it as an opportunity to visit seyi makinde so as to use it as a way to show that he cares.

This is the same lamba man that never visited any victims of aipob in his region during their rampaging escapades.

The foul yansh will be revealed after the elections is won by Jagaban.

On June 26, 2026 (today), Justice Isah Dashen of the Federal High Court in Lokoja set aside (nullified) an earlier judgment from December 10, 2025.

That earlier judgment had compelled the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to register the NDC as a political party.

The court ruled that the prior judgment was constitutionally defective because it was delivered without hearing from the Peace Movement Party (PMP), which claims ownership of the logo used by the NDC.

As a result, the court ordered a return to the status quo ante (the situation before the earlier judgment). This reverses INEC’s recognition, certificate issuance, and any inclusion of the NDC in records or on ballot papers.

The substantive suit will now proceed afresh, with INEC, the Peace Movement Party, and the NDC as parties.

In short, the NDC’s registration as a political party has been cancelled (at least for now), and it is not currently recognized by INEC.

Does It Stand?
Yes, it currently stands as the operative decision. It was delivered today by the same court (Federal High Court, Lokoja division) that issued the original order.

The NDC (and any affected parties) can appeal to a higher court, such as the Court of Appeal, but there is no indication yet of an appeal having been filed or succeeding. The ruling effectively nullifies actions taken under the previous judgment.

Can the High Court Overturn Itself?
Yes, in this context it can and did. Nigerian courts (including the Federal High Court) have inherent jurisdiction to set aside their own judgments in certain circumstances, especially where:

1. There was a fundamental defect (e.g., lack of jurisdiction, failure to join a necessary party whose rights are affected, or breach of fair hearing).

The Supreme Court gave the Mark faction some relief today by voiding the broad “status quo ante bellum” that paralysed them nationally.

However, the Federal High Court judgment of 29 April 2026 remains a major blow because it protects state executives and restricts the Mark faction’s ability to control state structures — which is critical for meeting the 10 May 2026 membership register deadline.

The membership register submission deadline is 10 May 2026 (only 11 days away).

To submit a valid national register, the party needs credible state-level structures (state executives, ward and LGA data, etc.).

Because the FHC has restrained the Mark faction from touching state structures, compiling and authenticating a clean, INEC-compliant register in 11 days is extremely difficult, if not practically impossible, especially with ongoing factional fights.
