If you live in a location where there is 5G coverage, close your eyes and buy the 50k 5G router. For some reason, it performs better over 5G than 4G, even though the speed is capped.

No 5G coverage for my area yet but you're right. It's best i get the 5g router now than cry later when it gets here and i'm still using 4G router. Besides i already have a fast universal 4G router so make i upgrade to 5G and sell the 4G own. ODU is the preference but the money na my entire salary and then some. Chai, which way Nigeria!!

Yes I bought it at airtel office. I registered the sim there, although they said nin server was down at that moment. So, it didn't work immediately, it started working in the evening

Can you please look under the router or the box for the manual and tell me the full model name of it. I want to know the specs online before i order it, thanks.

Did you buy from airtel Office? Did you register the sim before using it or did it work right out of the box? Airtel offices don't have hertz6 routers available. Only the 50k 5G and I can't afford it. Someone wants to sell me unlimited sim for 20k to use with my universal router. I'm just cracking mind on what to do.

Bought the Airtel 5g but the it’s not fast compare to the MTN mifi I have been using before getting it. Here is the screenshots of both after checking on fast.com.

Seems airtel is poor in your area. Are you sure the sim package is the unlimited 20?

Which airtel router are you using with the unlimited 20 plan? I don dey reason am say i dey spend 15k on swift plan which gives me 40gb per month with unlimited downloads daily from 11pm - 8am. I never add the 4k i also spend on mtn plan for my mobile device too.

All these airtel and mtn plans have a fair usage policy that come into effect once a certain amount of data has been used. You'll think its unlimited but its not. Unlimited is when nothing and i mean nothing caps your speed or data usage is restricted.

I believe the sim has to be provisioned to a certain tariff, probably a broadband tariff, in order for those unlimited plans to be available for subscription. I have two Airtel sims, and the 20k, 35k and 50k unlimited plans are only available on the sim that came with the unlimited package.

How did you get the unlimited sim? did you buy the airtel router that comes with unlimited package? Also is it truly unlimited like there's no data cap for the 20k unlimited plan.

Seems airtel have re-introduced the 20k unlimited subscription. Got a message from them asking me to subscribe to the 20k unlimited and followed the link. Lo and behold, the 20k unlimited option is listed there. Check to confirm
