Hello gurus in the house greetings to you all.
my hp Compaq CQ 65 doesn't seem to be faring well.when ever I start browsing and proceed to download a file or watch videos online or even start Facebook video chat, the browser just crashes and shows something like low system memory or something like that sha. I also tried monitoring the performance using task manager and most times when browsing the CPU usage gets to 100% .I would be glad if anyone can help me.. the ram is 3 gig... Though I added one gig to get it to that level. and the system is not that new. an advice will really help cos the whole thing is just pissing me off.

have you tried cleaning the junk files in your laptop. If no, you can download a program such as CCleaner or rightclick on drive C: which is your harddrive and select 'properties' then click on 'disk cleanup' to free up some space...also you download malwarebytes to scan your pc for malwares incase that is the cause.

Since you have to adjust the charger before the laptop will power up, it means the power jack (the point where you plug in the charger) is loose..you may have to take it to a tech for repairs

try wiggling the power cord around to see if it comes on for a moment, this is to be sure your power Jack is not loose or broken from its solder joint.

I have a Hp 650 laptop, I gave a friend who needed it.. He used it and drained the battery till it went off itself.
When I collected it.. I tried charging it for several hours but it's not charging.. It shows a power cord connected and shows "plugged in, not charging" with a white notification light at the side instead of a orange light.. Could it be that the battery has spoilt or what?

Try this, remove the battery from the laptop, then press the power button down for 10 seconds, now reconnect the battery and plug in your power adapter to charge

I am using a Compaq Presario CQ57, some time ago my laptop fell. Though it worked for a few minute, but I notice it was hanging, so l close all the opened programs, shut down and restart after about 10 minutes, but the system will not boot. Instead it went in a never ending system repair mood. I took it to a repairer later that same day because I had to continue work on my school project. I don’t know what he did, but he opened the system, tried some things, which did not work and he finally had to install a new windows. Right now, the system comes on with the new windows, I can’t load the old windows, I can’t access all my installed programs and software and each time I go to the old drive I was using before the fall, the sys drags and becomes slow and finally hangs-depending on how deep I go within the drive. I will like go what can be or should be done about it. And if its possible for me to do it myself because where I am for the moment I can’t get a pc engineer around.

The slow performance and freezing of your system could be due to virus/malware infection or overheating...just get a good antivirus programs n do a deep scan..if it overheats, take it to a technician for internal cleaning.

Pleas guys I have an 8 months old Dell Inspiron 15 3541 Laptop bought online from Konga. I was working on it yesterday and it was working perfectly until it turned off itself and whenever I tried to power it on the white led light fades off itself and after some seconds it will start beeping continuously (not 4 not 7 beeps) with intervals
and by luck sometime it boots and after it gets to windows welcome page, it turns off again and start the beeping again with no dell icon nothing but just black screen, Please help this is my first experience with Dell. its a hardware issue, one of the components can be the cause, jst take it to a qualified technician for repairs...

Since it works when you hit the back, its likely a loose connection or malfunction of the flex cable, just take it to a qualified technician for repairs

Gurus in the house,.. I ve this mini hp dm4, sometimes once it got to a certain level it stopped charging even as it showed being plugged. Sadly for me, I charged halfway last time and didn't use for about 2weeks and when I resumed using it, it refused charging even as it showed being plugged and instead runs until the battery finally got drained and now it refuses to power up again even while plugged....

It may likely be your power adapter (charger) or a power jack issue. But first check with another power adapter (charger) to see if it works.
