PoliticsNorth Will Field Better Candidate For 2023 Presidency – Shettima by Croesuscrown(op): 10:20am On Mar 22, 2019
Chinelo Obogo

The president of Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF), Yerima Shettima, has described the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari as a disappointment and revealed that the north plans to present a more competent candidate who will contest for president in 2023.

What is your assessment of the recently concluded elections in Nigeria?

We had an election and the expectations were high but it is very unfortunate that it is not what we expected and I am sure that Nigerians were disappointed. We thought that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will conduct a more credible election than what we had in the past, but what we saw was an election where security agencies were used against innocent Nigerians. The election was a battle between the voters and the military that were deployed to aid the ruling party. If you ask me if there was an election, I would say there was an attempt to conduct an election but we cannot certainly call what we just had an election.

But some international and local observers who monitored the elections said it was free and fair…
I am glad that you said some observers and not all. The international observers have their own modus operandi and you do not expect them to start crying for you. If there is an issue and they see it, they would not be in a hurry to make any judgment. Again, when they notice that Nigerians are very docile and no one is raising any fundamental issues, they will remain mute. On the part of the local observers, it is very easy for anyone to compromise them, which has more or less become a tradition in the country.

What was the national mood of the country after the presidential election? Was there any celebration? No. Were majority of people happy about the outcome?

Certainly the answer is no. So it means that something fundamentally went wrong.

The vote margin between the APC and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the North during the presidential election seem to be incomparable with what happened during the governorship polls, which led people to allege that figures were cooked. Do you believe that allegation?

Of course I believe that figures were written and that is why you can see that the voting pattern changed during the governorship elections, which took place two weeks after the presidential election. As we speak, there is confusion in the North especially in states where there was no reason to call for inconclusive elections. In Kano, Adamawa, Benue and Sokoto for instance, there were inconclusive elections which clearly showed that the outcome of the presidential elections was not what people expected. It is very obvious that the electoral commission worked to ensure that the ruling party returned to power. The 2019 elections is the worst election that has been conducted for as long as I can remember. A clear indication of this anomaly is that the states where the PDP won elections in the North were declared inconclusive and where APC won with a small margin and was supposed to be declared inconclusive was not so.

Did you ever foresee any crisis in the North if President Muhammadu Buhari did not win?

Is there peace in the North now? Did you not hear about the uprising going on in Bauchi, Kano where people are protesting because some interests decided to quash the will of the people? It is a clear indication that the result of the election is not the will of the people, but man in his own way, decided that there will not be justice.

People will say that your statement that the election was rigged in favour of Buhari in the North is your personal opinion. Do you have any evidence to back up this claim?

The PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar went to court because he also believes that the elections were rigged and he believes that he will get justice. I believe his decision to go to court was the right decision, but it is one thing for him to go to court and it is another thing for justice to be served. What is constant is that he makes a decision with which he will be judged. This is why it is very important that whatever decision that you are going to take, especially when it has to do with national interest, you must ensure that you take the action that will make you be remembered on the positive side of history.
Also, for us we who are Northerners, we had a case where in 2015 we had to chose between a Southern Christian and a Northern Muslim who is Fulani, yet the difference in their votes was about two million. Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s stronghold was the South-South and South East at that time because the North was totally against him. In the South-West, Jonathan got the required 25 per cent in each state. This time, we had to choose between two Northern Fulani Muslims, yet they are telling us that the difference in their votes is four million. How possible is that? Buhari’s stronghold has always been the North-West while the North-East has been a war zone for a long time. But look at the votes that came out of the North-East in this year’s presidential election even when it was obvious there is war going on there. We expected that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will strictly adhere to its own guidelines by ensuring the use of card readers nationwide. Why did the commission ignore the use of card readers in some states and insisted on the use of card readers in other states? These are all clear indications that there were irregularities and that is why I believe that Atiku did the right thing by going to court. I believe that issues will come up as the trial commences for the world to see and at the end of the day, you would not be able to defend the indefensible.

Your statements seem to indicate that Buhari doesn’t have the total support of the North. Is this not the time that the North should put their differences aside and support this administration?

There can be no peace in the absence of justice and we cannot pretend about it. If the government has integrity, they should demonstrate it. You cannot foist your interest on people and expect to enjoy total support. Buhari’s administration has not really benefited the North because we are yet to see meaningful development. What most Northerners know is that they have a brother who is the president but that has not translated to anything meaningful to those down there. Most of those who are supposed to spearhead the execution of landmark projects in this administration are from the South-West. As far as we are concerned, President Buhari’s administration is a government of the South-West because almost all the goodies were given to them.

What goodies are you referring to?

The South-West has the super minister who is in charge of the three most important ministries –housing, works and power and that is why the minister has focused on constructing roads mainly in the South West. Name one major road that Babatunde Fashola has constructed in the North but you can name many that are in the South-West. Tell me one important ministry that is occupied by a northerner.

But almost all the security chiefs are from the North; the Managing Director of NNPC is from the North and the Minister of Petroleum, who is President Buhari, is also from the North. So why is the North still feeling it is being cheated?

The security chiefs were appointed because of the crisis in the North. As far as we in the North are concerned, this government favours only the South-West and that is why some of us are beginning to have a rethink that probably, after this tenure we would demand for a Northern presidency in 2023.

Are you insinuating that the North will take another shot at the presidency after eight years of President Buhari?

You can be rest assured that it will definitely happen. I am a leader and an opinion shaper in the North and when I tell you that we are considering supporting a Northern presidency in 2023, you better believe it because it is not just my personal opinion. The North has not benefitted anything from Buhari’s presidency because many northern states are still impoverished and under developed. The rate of poverty in the North has become worse than it was in 2015. We cannot beat our chest and say that this government has favoured the North. The first four years of Buhari was a waste and we cannot expect any magic to happen in his second tenure; it is not possible. Already some South-Westerners are raising their heads to claim that it is their turn in 2023 but for us in the north, we would plead with the South to bear with us for another 12 years because we need to feel the impact of governance.
But it would be injustice and lack of fairness to other regions if the North plans to take a shot at the presidency again in 2023 after completing eight years term.
Was justice meted to the North with the level of unemployment and physical infrastructure you cannot find there; with the bad roads and almajiris everywhere and with no serious policy by the government to tackle that? Here you are living comfortably in Lagos, enjoying federal allocations and everything and you expect us to fold our hands and look at you?

But many believe that the North are benefitting from the present government, considering that majority of the appointments were given to northerners?

What kind of appointment are we talking about? Tell me one super appointment that is given to the North now.

President Buhari is the Minister of Petroleum…
That is mere pronouncement because Ibe Kachukwu is in-charge of that ministry. He is the one almost doing everything.

Two members of Buhari’s cabinet Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Fashola told the Yoruba to support the president’s re-election so that power can go to the South-West and the APC didn’t dispute it. Why then do you say the North is contemplating another shot in 2023?

Was there any agreement? Is the party a constitution or is party arrangement more superior to the constitution of the country? There is no going back. In 2023, we will ensure that we present a credible Northern son to contest and we will also expect the Southern people to have the understanding on why they should support us.

Is it the number of votes that the North has that is giving it the confidence that it can win the presidential elections in 2023?

The recent election has actually shown it and it has clearly proved it that in terms of numbers and voting population, the North has the highest. In fairness to Nigeria, we are not saying that because of our number, we are going to use it to intimidate them. What we are saying is that they should understand that this administration didn’t perform well in the last four years and we are saying they should please allow us to ensure that we put certain things right in our region, so that at the end of the day, everybody will live comfortably and we would move the country forward.

INEC declares the Osun State Election in which PDP's Senator Adeleke had most votes inconclusive over the margin (353) being less than cancelled votes.

INEC will destroy Nigeria.

PoliticsTribunal: Fayemi Hires 35 Lawyers For Defence by Croesuscrown(op): 7:28pm On Aug 29, 2018
Ado-Ekiti-The Governor-Elect of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has filed his defence to the petition by the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and outgoing Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Professor Kolapo Olusola Eleka.

In the 2,558-page defence with over 3,000 documents as exhibits, Dr. Fayemi averred that he won the gubernatorial election of July 14, 2018 and urged the tribunal to dismiss the petition of Prof. Eleka for lacking in merit.
Dr Kayode Fayemi and Prof. Kolapo Olusola
Olusola had asked the Tribunal to declare him winner of the election, having polled the highest number of lawful votes in the election.

The PDP Candidate accused the APC of using the federal might to muzzle opposition , while also accusing the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) of falsifying results in Fayemi’s favour.

The team of lawyers armed with 3,500 exhibits and 1,009 witnesses were led to the tribunal by three Senior Advocates of Nigeria, Mr Hakeem AfoIabi (SAN), Mr. Yomi Aliyu (SAN) and Dr. Kayode Olatoke (SAN).

Addressing the press after filing the petition, Dr. Kayode Olatoke (SAN), who spoke on behalf of his colleagues, said Eleka’s petition was a waste of time as it lacked substance and was sure that the case would be dismissed by the tribunal.

He explained further that Fayemi won fair and square in 12 out of the 16 local governments areas of the state, while Eleka won in four.

In his response to Eleka’s petition bordering on alleged over voting in some polling units, Olatoke dismissed this claim as frivolous and baseless.

He said Eleka’s first ground in his petition is based on Fayose’s phantom indictment, which had been nullified and set aside by a competent court, Olatoke said.
“The second ground of Eleka’s petition is alleged over voting, which is another false claim. In any case, the petition in itself is self-defeating.

“The third ground is on deliberate voiding of votes as alleged by Eleka but in actual fact, majority of the voided ballots were votes meant for Fayemi, while the fourth ground is on vote buying which is baseless as it was, Eleka’s sponsor, Fayose that was guilty of this.
“Fayemi won convincingly based on his popularity,” Olatoke said.

Other senior lawyers in the team representing Dr Fayemi and the APC are: Prince Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), Dr. Kayode Olatoke,(SAN ), Hakeem Afolabi (SAN), John Baiyeshea (SAN), Chief Akin Olujimi (SAN), Jelili Owonikoko (SAN), Yomi Aliyu (SAN) and Segun Ajibola (SAN).
No date has been fixed for hearing.

PoliticsRe: APC Has Made Saraki Current Issue In Nigerian Politics – Senators Misau & Rafiu by Croesuscrown: 9:48pm On Aug 22, 2018
“Senate leader, Ahmed Lawan who moved the motion for our adjournment till September 25 and the Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio who seconded the motion are in APC, yet they kept quiet when all the falsehood is being peddled now that Saraki “unilaterally and hurriedly adjourn the Senate”.

“Let us play back all the tape records of the Senate proceedings. Which of the decisions that are now being criticized did the APC pretenders in the Senate oppose? Of the ten- man Senate leadership, five of them are in APC.
“Those who enjoy privileges in the Senate now look the other way when the Presidency is complaining.”

PoliticsBenue People Celebrate Daura’s Sack by Croesuscrown(op): 10:26am On Aug 11, 2018
•Want more changes in security system

The government and people of Benue state may have been vindicated following the sack of the Director General of the Department of State Services, DSS, Lawal Daura, over the siege on the National Assembly.
Overtime the government and people of the state had called for the sack of Daura as well as the Inspector General of Police, IGP and the Minister of Defence for their ineptitude to effectively tackle the mindless killings in the state.

Just two weeks ago, when the police and DSS operatives locked down the Benue State House of Assembly only to allow eight lawmakers of the 30-member House access to the chamber of the Assembly where they resolved to issue an impeachment notice on Governor Samuel Ortom, the generality of the people screamed blue murder pointing accusing fingers at the then DSS boss and the IGP.
Speaking on the sack of Lawal Daura, Convener of the Middle Belt Movement for Justice and Peace, MBMJP, Comrade Joe Bukka said, “for me it’s a welcome development. We had expected that he would be eased out of office because of his many sins.

If you recall, operatives of the DSS only recently occupied the office of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF,which was ostensibly on the orders of the former DG, DSS because few minutes after his ouster, operatives of the department immediate vacated the NFF office which implied that the operation was at his behest.

“The same act was played out during the siege on the Benue State House of Assembly, which was a rape of democracy and a ridicule of the sensibilities of the people of the state but he preferred to play god irrespective of the provisions of the rule of law.

“We expect the Federal Government to take the action farther. We actually expected the government to ease out the IGP and the Minister of Defence if they want us to be convinced and also to restore our confidence in the security architecture of this country.

“We have taken this position because the comments of the Defence Minister and IGP on the Benue killings are still fresh on our minds and if the duo are not relieved of their positions, we will continue to doubt the sincerity of the Federal Government on the matter.”

“In as much as we want to remain objective in our reactions, we would want to know who ordered the police and DSS to occupy the Benue Assembly which President Buhari openly denied knowledge of.

“The fact that the Benue Assembly complex was also occupied like the National Assembly is enough justification to sack the IGP who in connivance with the state’s Police Commissioner aided eight lawmakers, in a House of 30 members, to take possession of the chamber to plot an impeachment move on the State Governor.”
“Natural Justice demands that these other people should also be eased out of office because anything short of that would be deemed an opaque Justice.

“In the same vein we expected that the head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC! Ibrahim Magu should be relieved of his position.
“A man who unilaterally allegedly decided to freeze the bank accounts of a state government, but for the general outcry that trailed that action, should be kicked out, at least as a face saving measure because the world and lovers of democracy across the globe watched with much surprise and disdain that singular action of iron cast impunity,” Bukka added.

Reacting to the sack of the DSS boss, Governor Samuel Ortom through his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, described it as a step in the right direction stressing that the sack was long expected, following the manner Mr. Daura ran the Service.

“I urge the Presidency to also look into operations of other security agencies to save the country from the current wave of impunity,” He stated

On his party, the National President of the Benue Youths Forum, BYF, Terrence Kuanum said “the police did little to check the menace of herdsmen in Benue. Even when the President ordered the IGP to relocate to Benue to effectively take charge of the situation, he disobeyed that order but took pleasure in ordering the occupation of Benue state House of Assembly.

“We also expect that aside the head of the DSS, the head of the EFCC, the IGP and Minister of Defence who failed to hold their own when it mattered most during the Benue killings should be eased out of office.

Similarly, a former federal lawmaker and Convener of the Benue Women Forum Mrs. Rebecca Apedzan said, “at my age if I am shy in talking about issues affecting Nigeria and Benue in particular it will be bad of me because I am old enough to speak the truth.

“It is like we do not have security apparatus in Nigeria. I don’t want to go back to trace what has been happening between Benue state, other states and the security apparatus.

“This is a security body that is meant to protect the people, but they are not concerned about all that have been happening. I have always said that we do not have security in this country.

“The security chiefs have overstayed their welcome, some of them are due for retirement but the President asked them to stay on. I don’t know the value they are adding to the service or could it be that the other people who were supposed to take over from them were not trained or that when these people die the offices would close up?
“Constitutionally these people have overstayed and he said they should stay on but look at what the Police and the soldiers are doing. They have so many policemen to lockdown the National Assembly, they have so many policemen to lock up the Senate President’s house but the IGP said they were overwhelmed by the security situation in the country, although they are not overwhelmed in running and harassing people about.

“When they created a blockage of the Benue Assembly and allowed eight members in to carry out an unconstitutional act they had enough men. In fact the Benue’s case was worst than what they did at the National Assembly.
“In that instance, they blocked 22 members and allowed eight members into the chamber of the House to deliberate while the other 22 were locked out.

“But in the case of the National Assembly everyone was not allowed entry. Nobody said anything about the Benue case. But I am very happy that the Acting President is living up to expectations.

“I think he has realized that his reputation as a lawyer, a pastor and a Vice President was at stake and he is doing the needful now. I just hope that the President would come back and remember to continue where this man has stopped.

“The sack of the DG DSS was welcomed by all Nigerians and the IGP should also be the next. He should have gone long ago. What is he doing there but to harass people, intimidate people but meanwhile he cannot do his job. They cannot stop the killings, they cannot stop the kidnappings, they cannot check armed robbery and cultism but they have enough policemen to police state governments and the opposition.

“They are all politicians. It is so sad to think that this kind of thing is happening in a Nigeria of today in the year 2018.
“Now the EFCC is another arm, they went to freeze the accounts of Benue state government on the grounds that they were probing security votes. Where on earth have you heard they were probing security votes. They were probing a Governor because of security vote particularly a state where there was so much security challenge and the governor was running all over the place to have the matter taken care of, so sad.

“Since January we have mammoth crowd in the IDP camps who have nowhere to go to. Herdsmen are still lurking around in the corners, as I speak with you they just killed two of my uncles in the farm. If they meet anyone in the farm they would kill, but the police were not able to stop that.

“I am very happy that Daura was removed, he was long overdue for that but there are many more to follow, and I am waiting to see that happens. I hail the Acting President and believe that as a knowledgeable person he would continue to do the right thing”

PoliticsRe: Akpabio’s Defection Puts Buhari’s Anti-corruption War Under The Spotlight by Croesuscrown: 10:20am On Aug 11, 2018
Akpabio’s defection has turned him from a sinner to a saint. He was a Commissioner for eight years; an executive governor for eight years and has been a senator for three years. He achieved these feats under the PDP. But when he joined the APC Wednesday, he said he had come to liberate Akwa Ibom youths from years of PDP suffering.

Many reasons have been proffered for Akpabio’s defection. The Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, has been on the trail of Akpabio. In fact, it has shot two pointed arrows at the former governor which many said bruised his psyche and he had to make a quick decision on the way out of his predicament. To him, it became a question of ‘if defection is wrong, I don’t want to be right.’ So, he did the needful.

Similarly, the member of the state House of Assembly representing Kudan state constituency, Junaid Yakubu also decamped from the APC and pitched his tent with the PDP.
In separate letters to their local governments chairmen, the law makers said the APC was no longer convenient for them to serve the interest of their people.

In his letter, the Deputy Speaker, John Audu said: “I write to withdraw my membership of the All Progressives Congress with effect from today, 7th August 2018.
“This becomes imperatives in view of the draconian leadership of the party at the state level and the local government level as well. I feel I will not serve the interest of the people in my constituency under the said leadership.
“This decision was arrived at after due consultation with my people who I have sworn to protect their interest under the party.

“Please, accept my assurances of my best regards.”

PoliticsSaraki Fires Back, Says Oshiomhole Behaving Like Rain-beaten Chicken by Croesuscrown(op): 11:20pm On Aug 10, 2018
The Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki has replied the All Progressives Congress, APC, party Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, who had said that he (Saraki) would not only be impeached but would also be stopped from returning to the Senate after the 2019 elections.
However, Saraki who responded through his media aide, Yusuf Olaniyon, said Oshiomhole is behaving like rain-beaten chicken.

Below is the full statement:

“It is rather surprising that Mr. Adams Oshiomhole is behaving like a rain-beaten chicken, crying all over the place about Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, as if the Senate President is the apparition haunting his life and the sinking ship that he captains.

Having decided not to join the pigs in rolling in the dirt; we would not like to be involved in any meaningless exchange with the demagogue now in charge of APC. However, because he claimed that he was reacting to the issues raised by the Senate President during his World Press Conference, we thought it necessary to give the APC chairman some attention.

Alas, we found that instead of addressing any issue raised by the Senate President, his press conference merely showcased his obsession and those of his sponsors with Saraki’s removal, which he did without any decorum befitting of his age or his awarded office. He brimmed with hate, hurled abuses, threw tantrums, told lies, huffed, puffed. In the end, he said nothing.

It is indeed amazing that the same Oshiomhole, who is now describing Saraki as a politician of no consequence was the same one who only a few months ago was crawling all over the place pleading for Saraki’s support to become chairman. We are sure that those who took him to Saraki several times to plead his case must now be thoroughly embarrassed by his reckless and uncouth manner.
By his conduct and utterances, Oshiomhole, who accused Saraki of not acting in national interest needs to do more to convince Nigerians that his desperate desire to become party chairman is not simply to feed his over-sized ego.
The position of Oshiomhole and his cohorts in the APC that the Senate President must resign is a mere wishful thinking. They will continue to dream about their planned removal of the Senate President. They will need 73 Senators to lawfully remove Dr. Saraki and they will never get that in the present eight Senate.

The argument of APC that the Senate President must come from a majority party; that the Senate Presidency is their crown and National Assembly is their palace is only supported by ignorance and dangerous delusion. First, the issue of which party is in the majority will only be resolved when the Senate resume. Two, Section 50 (1) (a) of the constitution is clear that any Senator can be elected as Senate President. If the only thing left of the APC change agenda is to change the Senate President we can only wish them goodluck.

Perhaps, Mr. Oshiomhole needs to be better educated about our parliamentary history when he Stated that “For the first time in parliamentary history in Nigeria, we had a situation where the APC had majority of Senators and went on to elect a PDP as Deputy Senate President”. Where is Mr. Oshiomhole when Senator John Wash Pam of the Nigerian People’s Party (NPP) became Deputy Senate President in the Second Republic even when the National Party of Nigeria (NPN) had the majority. The same thing happened in the House of Representatives when NPP’s Rt. Hon. Edwin Umeh Ezeoke was elected Speaker in an NPN majority House. But then, it would require a level of education to understand these things.

What hypocrisy! To think that this same APC were jubilating when Rt. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal retained his position after he defected from the PDP and still retained his seat, even when his new party was in the minority. These are people whose standards of morality are infinitely elastic.
We are sure the remaining APC Senators need to do a lot of work to bring Oshiomhole up to speed about parliamentary practice. His ignorance are too clear in his comments about how the Senate was adjourned on July 24, 2018, the distribution of committee chairmanship in the Senate and the difference between the post of Senate President and Minority Leader.

He has made so much song and dance about Mr. Godswill Akpabio resigning as Senate Minority Leader when he left the PDP to join APC. For this, Akpabio has become his hero and a symbol of honour. He obviously does not understand that the post of Minority Leader is a strictly party affair. And the PDP simply decided who to give it as it is not even a position that was mentioned in the constitution. Whereas, the Senate President position is a constitutional creation, which required majority votes of all the members. Again, we don’t expect people whose only experience in politics is at the provincial levels to understand this. No wonder they are talking of crowns and inheritance.

The fair distribution of the Committee chairmanship is one of the stabilizing factors in the 8th Senate and has helped it in achieving more than all its predecessors.
We need to inform this divisive element who now leads APC that if he wants to know why the 2018 budget was delayed, he should ask the heads of the MDAs. We reckon that should be easy for him since he is now their ‘headmaster’, moving around with canes to whip ministers into line.

Oshiomhole once again demonstrated his lack of sense of history by talking of Buhari winning more votes in Kwara than Saraki. We are sure President Buhari himself will disagree with the APC chairman. We invite the APC chairman to look at the figures of votes secured by the President in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015 to know that the difference is clear, like a commercial advert stated.

We hereby assure this garrulous, tactless and reckless APC chairman that a million of Adams Oshiomhole cannot remove Saraki as Senate President. His illegal plots, can only feed his insatiable ego and keep him awake at nights. But it will remain an exercise in futility.”

Oshomole always doublespeak, he will start insulting Dagora immediately he decamp. He did same to Ortom.

“Ironically, the same people and their political party who hailed Tambuwal and called the bluff of the PDP, are the same set of people are today threatening Dogara with hell fire. So, if precedence is anything to go by, then a sauce for the goose should as well be a sauce for the gander. They are now confronted with their past and they cannot run away from it"

If only Sagay will also agree that 25 senators can serve impeachment notice to the President. Hypocrisy is the new viral disease sweeping Nigeria.

"PDP stole Akwa Ibom dry for 16years" Oshomole said while receiving Akpabio (who serve in the state executive council for the 16years) to APC. Fighting corruption indeed

“It is on record that many legislators, including the same speaker of the house had defected from PDP to APC just a few months back amongst many similarities and their seats were not declared vacant.
It therefore amounts to mockery of Democracy and disrespect for the people of… Constituency who had elected the legislator on merit rathar party, to engage in such a dispecable conduct.
The Judiciary should brace up to put an end to all these impunity.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Practising "Greedocracy," Daura A Fall Guy - Dino Melaye by Croesuscrown: 11:26pm On Aug 07, 2018
The invasion of Benue state house of Assembly by the police last week, was it ordered by Saraki too. I think there a correlation between the attempt to impeach a Governor without the required 2/3 aided by the NPF and the "alleged" impeachment plot of the SP by APC senators.

Opinionated:
It might make sense to allow your opponent implement their plans until you are ready to nail them. Today's activities fall under treason. Imagine, if the federal government does have evidence that Senator Saraki is involved. He would be politically finished whenever such evidence is presented.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Practising "Greedocracy," Daura A Fall Guy - Dino Melaye by Croesuscrown: 10:51pm On Aug 07, 2018
If truly Saraki has influence over a DG of an agency under the direct supervision of the Presidency, pls can you define incompetency and dullard for mehuh

NgeneUkwenu:
Obviously Dino and Saraki are very sad, about the sacking of their Director, Mallam Duara.

Anyone still in doubt, that sacked security Chief is in bed with Saraki?

"Party of Looters" Political parties don't steal (loot), Nigerians does!

tesppidd:
What was it that backfired exactly?

No single APC lawmaker was close to the national assembly today.

So I ask again what was it that backfiredhuh

Fani Kayode really needs to keep his nose clean and his stomach jollof-riced up in order to be taken seriously by sane people devoid of any wailing or ipobtic tendencies.

And anyone who really believes that the same presidency which has been appealing to the senators to reconvene and pass the budget would be the same presidency to order such a stunt, then you need to trace and cure that inherent supidiity in your lineage.

BTW,

PDP needs to quit making a nuisance or should I say nuisances of themselves.

They wake up at 12 midnight and run to the national assembly; " oh they want to impeach"

They wake up 5 am and run to national assembly, "oh they want to impeach"

How can 52 senators impeach anybody?

What's up with all the paranoiahuh

Party of eediots and looters.

it is not yet uhuru. Nigerians recall that the NHIS boss, Usman Yusuf, was suspended for corruption by Osinbajo when President Buhari traveled to London only to be reinstated by Buhari when he returned to Nigeria. This must not be the case with the sacked DSS DH. He must go, never to return again! Time shall tell.

[quote author=Corrinthians post=70074448]Those of us who voted the admin in aren't complaining. Did they promise "YOU" the change? Why complaining? Did you complain when Jonathan did same? ;

As GEJ failed to destroyed NASS so shall PMB fail. He truncated a Democratic govt before, Nigerians will never allow him to destroy democracy again.

How is it pointless? Did GEJ not invade the NASS with heavily armed Policemen? Were APC members of the House of Reps not teargassed then? Did they not scale the National Assembly fence just to halt Tambuwal's impeachment then? So much for a so-called hero of democracy.

BTW, we all know that Saraki, PDP and the DSS boss orchestrated this just to whip up public sentiments for Saraki and PDP.
Are you saying APC (should) invaded the NASS because PDP did same in 2014?
Why promise "CHANGE" when they know they will still continue with the old ways?
BTW, Saraki must be powerful than PMB. According to you, he controls the DSS maybe the NPF (Na him send NPF to invade Benue SHOA) Supreme Court (plan with Judges to strike out his case) and even Malami (also forced the Minister of Justice to drop his name from Offa robbery). Who knowns, he might be controlling the Army too. Pls, use your brain.
