Does it really matter if the application is self-completed or completed by an agent? Because these two persons' application were completed by two different agents.

Can someone tell me why it's rare to hear testimonies of success visa application completed within 5 to 7 working days on this thread. I know of two persons outside this thread whose applications were processed within this time frame with positive outcome. And both of them made standard visa applications. What could be the reason for this long waiting time that is trending here? I did my biometric on the 15th of August. Recieved two notifications from UKVI on 20th and 22nd (survey email). No email at all throughout last week. I pray that there will be plenty of success stories this coming week.

I received survey email on the 16th and I also received it again 20TH since then silent

Standard application 2nd of September.
Received at Sheffield on the 9th.
Got Decision mail on the 21st and 22nd from Sheffield and TLS respectively.
Got Pickup mail and picked today.

Congrats to everyone that got his or his visa already and good luck to those still expecting one.

Got a success message yesterday. Thank God.

I did not at for priority and it was treated in exactly 15 working days and delivered in two days.

Congrats Oieda. Did u receive collection email within the 2 days that u collected your documents?

Really? If this is so applicants can easy use it as an indicator in knowing the outcome of their visa application before the collection of their processed application package. Please are you going to receive the refund to the account number you presented for evidence of fund? Also, how long will it take to receive this refund for health insurance surcharge counting from the day one receives the decision made email/update?

I would not take that information seriously cos

(1) that was written in 2014.... The information is so old

(2) the sample email of which the writer made his conclusion were for students in turkey.... Process could be different.

Don't give yourself high bp when your decision mail comes and start scrutinising every detail of the email unnecessarily.

The only way you can know as of now 2016 if you have a successful tier 4 visa application is only when you collect your documents.

And lo and behold, i got up thinking of how the interview will look like and to be honest i was pretty tensed. Thinking of how i will twist my lips and unleash some queen's English. Omor no be small tension grab me like girl wey dey grab shawama. At about 9 am, i got a call from a lady at ukeas informing me that i will need to photocopy my documents and have a passport too but on a second though i contacted Mcstar and she told me she didnt do all that. Well i was like to be on the safe side let me just do photocopies.
Left the house around to 10 to make photocopies but got to some business centres and their machines were all bad...omor na that time i know say the devil wey dey watch me dey watch with better HD and na 3D him dey use sef . Past ten i still dey waka round dey find where to photocopy and around 10:45am i got a place and make the photocopies of which at the end of the day i didnt submit.
Got a cab to take me to the TLS Abuja and at that point i know the devil had remixed his plan for me that day. I was like e no go happen for you. This cab guy didnt even know where i was going...he was busy taking me round and round as if i came for a tour round Abuja. I kept on telling this young man that i have an interview by 11.30 and need to be there by 11.15. I kept losing patience cos it was beginning to piss me off. by 11:12 i was able to locate the building from afar and thats how we were able to locate the venue. Was supposed to give the guy 300naira but i didnt know when i jumped out of the cab and gave him 200naira and ran straight to the gate.. A couple of guys ran to me all in the name of making photocopies,what was in my mind at that moment was just crazy.
Straight to the interview.. well i checked in then got to the reception and checked in my application form and passport...got all my documents in a bag provided by the staff there. Saw some guys forming janded...some chics forming janded and forming over-Behind.. I was like who out of all these people is a nairalander. i was as mute as a mice. Had my biometrics then went to the waiting room for my interview.
When it got to my turn, i walked majestically like a guy who is walking down the aisle...no be small aisle... ..... I walked into the room and sat down, picked up the headset and started the interview with a white guy...probably via skype. I expected the normal though.
- My name and date of birth
- What course i did in my undergraduate
- Why the UK
- Why Coventry
- Did u send in an IELTS or TOEFL (Well i told him i sent in my WAEC)
- and of what relevance the course will be to me.
At the end we exchanged pleasantries, and na so i give the guy better thumbs up unto niggar na...lololzzzzz... and indeed he smiled.

Hopefully am expecting a positive decision Godwilling and surely my transcript will come up once again.

Thanks dear, yeah she was and i gave a precise and concise answers to her question but also chipping in some small info that for sure they already have on their database as result of my previous applications and visa issuance to the uk. Like telln her my engagements afta grad. Since there isnt any space to input such info on the application form. Guess she was very ok wit my detailed yet concise replies, cos like @thatfaygirl said there was a person who entered bfr us the vo spent more time with her than usual am sure maybe bombarding the person with questions and above all i know God went before me. Sure by his grace we all wud share the good news. Ijn!

@mrsDaniels, from the description of ur dress code I think u must be a perfect designer. I love that.

Nevertheless, I count you lucky for your interview, although I never discounted ur effort and, ultimately ur prayer. That's God for you.

What I am most concerned about is the area of forwardness; that the interviewer was straight forward. I want to know if ur answers were straight forward as well, as in specific and concise. Just trying to reconcile ur latest experience with ur previous advice as regards UK visa credibility interview.

Just praying we testify together though.

I just got my visa after being refused. In my case i wasnt called the first time i applied and i had explained my work commitments and all but i was refused on the basis that i didnt submit any letter from my company. It was on the second application the home office called me.

Anyway enough of the drama im off to pack my bags

For the purpose of benefit to others coming after me, I wish to state that I placed a call to my school today concerning the issue i raised yesterday over work placement and extension of my visa, the school aligned itself with the submission of spicke c. They said that the decision to follow the one year placement should be done at the very beginning which is at the point of admission which will thereafter be reflected on my Cas. As I stand now, I either resume, declare interest in the work placement option which they regard as sandwich and later on leave UK to reapply for another one year or I change my admission entirely and forfeit my admission this year and wait till next year. Men and brethren, I am confused. Spike c, what's the work placement usually like? Lemme know if its worth it.

Hi everyone. Please I need help. I have gotten my visa for one year and four months. At the point I applied for it, I wasn't aware that my course is two years lemme explain the first year is for academics and the second year is for work placement and its optional. Now my question is this, if I wish to go for the second year which is optional, how do I get my visa extended? If its possible to do, will I need to present any bank statement to that effect? Justwise, et al please help me before I leave Nigeria.

Ur school is in better position to give you the most valuable advice to that effect.kindly contact them first, let them know your situation because I believe they will advise and guide you appropriately.
