zxcvb: Guy which state in Nigeria doesn't have ghettos.. now let me mention nice places on d mainland.. magodo, yaba, bode Thomas, gbagada, palmgrove, omole, Ikeja, Maryland etc... u call other places overgyped village I laugh in Swahili Ikeja is more developed than the whole SS magodo is more developed than whole SE. Lagos is the best, craziest , richest and greatest city in Nigeria
Leave your cave and go to other regions. So States in the SS don't have Nice places too right? Why is it that those in SW always mention only Lagos when comparing developement in regions.
zxcvb: Omo see painment... Lagos is still d best city in Nigeria forget the dirts u see that is one of d downsides of the slums in Lagos.. Lagos is not overhyped it is still d best no wonder it houses our entertainment industry it also houses a lot of FDI.. Lagos is better than the whole SS portharcourt is a slum... look at Delta glorified village
I have stayed in Lagos, Lagos is over hyped. Places like Abaranje ,Mushin, some part of Ejigbo, Ajegunle, Oshodi, Bariga, Ayobo, Ijegun,Okerube etc defines what a true Ghetto is. Those places are so dirty and unkept. You can only boast of island, despite there being a flood prone area. Other places are just overhyped villages. Why do Lagos House the Entertainment industry? If you can reply to my question correctly, then we can continue with the conversation
zxcvb: Dude asaba is the state capital of an oil rich state see how underdeveloped the place is.. look at how red d water is, this goes to show that most roads there are still muddy and untarred ..... the environment looks so village like... mehn The south south is really a shit hole if this is how a supposed capital looks like.... The Lagos scenario is as a result of improper disposal of waste.. I can tell u that The ambode I know would have sent Lawma officials to go clean up those places ... remember the swift response of Lawma at d lekki flooding... The truth is The oil rich States in Nigeria are so underdeveloped starting from Port Harcourt to Delta to Akwaibom etc
Look how dumb you are, you using Lagos state as comparison. The pictures of the flood in lagos was an eye sore, its what they call extremely graphic.
Lagos the overhyped city when poo packaged in take away plates floats freely everywhere even on the island. The worst of it was that people were passing through the dirty flood.
Look at the Lagos you claim to be developed, anywhere there is an Afonja somebody, there must be dirt. The two are like 5&6.
You ignorantly typed "Look how the water is Red" Asaba soil is Red,Same with Benin and some States in the SS, atleast there are no traces of packaged poo and all sort of dirts in the flood unlike the ones we saw in Lagos.
You said Asaba is not developed but you can't compare the city with cities like Ado Ekiti, Oshogbo, Abeokuta,Akure and other dirty capitals in the SW. No wonder they all claim to be Lagosians even those who lives inside a cave somewhere in Oshogbo.
These ediots made fun of Lagos and Yoruba Land in general for the Lagos flooding
Who knew this would happen?
Lemme reply you. You trying to compare this flood with that of Lagos forgetting that it happened almost everywhere in Lagos. On the Island, Mainland. Typical dirty afonja,we know flood is a natural disaster but all those dirt we were seeing floating all around the flood in Lagos was an eyesore. Lot of poo packaged in takeaway plates ,some where even urinating in it.
holocron: This is an ignorant comment. Even the River Niger at Asaba is ABOVE sea level. Asaba is also above the flood level of the River Niger. The river is at about 25m above MSL with highest flood of say 35m. Lowest level at Asaba is 42. So what are u talking about.
Conclusion: The flood is man-made, and it is a relatively recent occurence. It was not there in the 1990s and early 2000s.
Recent occurrence, am sure you arnt aware of the term"Climate Change" "Global warming"
Most of the area lies below sea level (bsl) with only few places of 20mm height above ssea level.
bignene: So sad. Funny enof, river Niger is vry close to asaba, dis drainage can b easily linked to river Niger. Okowa has failed
The River Niger overflowing into the land, even if there are good drainage system in Asaba, there is every probability that there will be flood. Asaba is below sea level.
iLoveConductor: It wasn't like this until we got an Emir in Illorin. Now 20% of Obomoso indegines are Christians, 25% Muslims, 30 % pagans while the remaining are skull miners.
I don't need a woman who smells, can't cook, very dirty, cheats around and worst of all, harvest her own husband's skull with her fellow Baddo memebers.
No wonder Madridguy is begging me to introduce him to an Igbo lady. Shishi he won't see.
