Good Day House! Please anyone used HNWMC lately and paid the Miracle Package fee without any hidden fee afterwards? A friend paid for the package and wanted to do a CS but she was told to do a normal delivery. She ended up labouring for 17hours and they eventually did the CS and now the hospital says she isn't entitled to the package as she had complications bla bla bla and charged her normal rate . Bill running up to $12,0000. That is apart from doctors and peadiatrician and so on. Has anyone truly paid this discounted amount and not had this issue in the last few months.
Please share let's all be guided. Thanks

Congratulations on your POE ! I am flying same airline via Atlanta to Houston. I pray i get all the favour i need. Wishing you a safe delivery.uote author=Soulape post=72359318]Hello all,

I do hope this shows. Being struggling with how to post on Nairaland.

I am a silent follower and I must say this forum has been super helpful. Thank you all.

In the spirit of giving back, I want to write my POE experience.

I flew Delta Airlines at 30 weeks with my 2 yr old toddler alone. Experience on Delta was great, friendly hostesses and good food. No fit-to fly was asked and they give priority to pregnant women. I got to Atlanta after a very long journey of about 12 hrs and we hovered for about 20 minutes because the CBP officers do not open till 5.30am.

The queue was a very long and tedious one considering I had a bump and a cranky toddler to attend to (my advise, make sure you have your stroller with you on the immigration queue if going with a toddler). Fast forward to an hour and half later, I was standing infront of a not too friendly CBP Officer. The conversation below ensued.

CBP: Where are you headed to today?
Me: Houston
CBP: WHat for?
Me: Vacation and Childbirth
CBP: Why Houston?
Me: I have a friend there that we attended College together, I feel she will be able to show me around
CBP: Have you been in contact with any Dr. in Houston
Me: Yes, I have been in touch with Dr. Fagbohun of Oakbend Medical Center (at this point my toddler was really cranky and crying and rolling on the floor)
CBP: Can I see any evidence that you have been in touch with this Dr?
Me: Yes. ( I try to search for the document while trying to calm my toddler)
CBP: Do you pan on giving me this document today?
Me: Yea,my baby is a little cranky. I apologise (I hand him my doctor's correspondence)
CBP: (flipping through the correspondence) How do you plan on handling your child with your pregnancy alone, Is your husband coming?
Me: Yes, he is coming in a month's time. I can handle my child, thats not a problem. I also plan to get a nanny when I get to heavy
CBP: Im not sure you can. You are barely doing a good job right now. Have you contacted nanny services?
Me: Im doing a good job. We just got down from a 12hr flight and waited on a queue for 90minutes. He is tired is all. No, I havent contacted nanny services. I will do that once I settle in. (At this point, I was ticked off at the seemingly lack of empathy)
CBP: Have you made any prepayments at the hospital?
Me: No, just paid to book my appointment. However, I have a cash of $9,000 and more in card
CBP: Can I see the money?
Me: Bring it out to show him..
CBP: (He doesnt count it, He stamps me and my son in)..Hey maam, I apologise if i crossed the line about you taking care of your son, you just seem overwhelmed and I felt it would be a lot of work for you. All the best maam and safe delivery!
Me: (wide grin). Its okay. Thank you!

Took a 2hr flight to Houston from Atlanta. Got picked up by my host at the airport. I stay at a place 20 minutes from the hospital. Contacted my hospital and doctor, and now just chilling for LO to arrive.

Sorry for the long post, I just really wanted to give back all I could. This forum has been to helpful. All the best mamas![/quote]

I did. At 38 weeks. 12 hours from Lagos to Atlanta. POE was a breeze. Wasn't asked for previous receipts, asked about how much cash I held and if I declared childbirth at visa renewal interview. My experience overall on delta flight was great. I was allocated a row with 2 empty seats so I was able to lie down and sleep. In flight entertainment was great as well. Above all,Pray to be favoured.
Thanks alot! I appreciate this. I am a first time traveller. Declared my intent at the embassy. I will surely pray for all the favour I need.

Anyone used Delta airlines? Please what was your experience and how is the POE (Atlanta) . Hubby thinks a direct flight will be better cos of long flight hours.

Best is relative.

Emirates paid me in terms of cost and exceptional service.
But the 15hours is not child's play.

Thanks. Did you get a bassinet on your return leg?

When do you plan to travel and how long are you staying. You can inbox me so we can chat.
Will leave in November and will stay for months. Though I am also considering a few other accommodation. I just don't want to be alone in the apartment.

That's a very good location for that hospital and for going around for shopping and other amusement locations.
Ask the accommodation owner if there are furniture in it at all.
I had same experience
I am interested. How do I chat you up?

Sorry about your visa being revoked.
My interview was on Wednesday 5th.
I had my doctors correspondence and Hospital correspondence from Dr Xydas and HNWMC.
The VO took time to look through each of them as well as my bank statements. Here is my transcript.
VO- Good Morning
Me- Good Morning
VO- May I have your passport please?
Passed it over to him.
VO - Why are you going to the US?
Me- I am going to the US to have my baby born there.
VO- Where are you planning to go?
Me - Houston Texas
VO- Y do you want to have your baby born there?
Me- I want to give my child the privilege of dual citizenship.
VO- What do you do?
Me - I am a ......
VO- Can you explain that?
Me - Explained further and he nodded his head.
VO- Are you married and do you have kids?
Me- Yes I am married and I have two kids. Gave their ages.
VO- Where does your husband work?
Me - He works with XYZ as a ......
VO- Have you got any doctors correspondence?
Me - Yes and hands them over and he also asked for my bank statements which I passed to him along with my budget sheet.
VO- Looks through Nd took a great deal of time checking through.
VO - Have you travelled before?
Me- No but my husband has travelled severally.
VO - Where has he been to?
Me- He had been to ...
The VO was really patient, he went through the statements and asked questions for bulk transfers. I answered honestly and after a while he hands Me the white paper.

I had initially applied with my family but we were denied on the grounds of no strong. So i applied alone and prayed like I have never done before.
The VO didn't ask y I was initially denied.I think in all God was truly involved. I am due in December. Thanks for your contributions.
I "d say don't give up because I almost did. I paid for Visa fee three times and got an agent to get me a close date.

TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by curiouslearner: 7:55pm On Oct 03, 2018
Thanks to everyone who has made valuable contributions here. I had my interview today and visa was approved. Interview was short but the VO took his time to go through my documents. I have never travelled before. Applied earlier with my family but was refused on the grounds of no strong ties to return back. I applied again but alone and visa was approved. God was truly involved cos it could only have been possible with him.
