Good evening guyz, I am particularly in need of urgent response here for I am quite worried now. I left my DS-160 form uncompleted while awaiting Doctors letter to be filled , I applied for my wife and daughter as well together. I completed that of my daughter earlier but didn't submit, hoping to submit the three together when completed. But NOW I can't access my daughters page any more seems I must have left it unattended to for 30days which am not even sure. The page keeps bringing Error Not found upon inputting her ID No. And i didnt save it yet on the computer. Plz what can I do.

That's a very good location for that hospital and for going around for shopping and other amusement locations.
Ask the accommodation owner if there are furniture in it at all.
I had same experience
I am interested. How do I chat you up?

My sister I agree with you about Dr Xydas. I paid the same amount for hospital and doctor, and I got my money's worth from the hospital. Sadly can't say the same about the doctor. I also had my baby before the doctor on call came, and when I was to be discharged, they just asked me one or two questions and that was it.

I felt like I just threw 2k away. I got better service from my nigerian gynaecologist.

And to say this is the doctor I intend using , I’m angry ahead o, I don’t like shabby services like this neither am I saying worship me. But 2k is a lot of money and I’ll rather use it in addition to my baby registry than to throw it away, they need people to boycott their services so their heads can be correct

Now my visa is expiring and I intend doing another drop box but people’s have been scaring me with saying people are having drop box issue renewals
I don’t intend using the visa for anything other than to visit what do you suggest do I do the drop box or just pick interview and declare the birthing even dou I have renewed successfully

To declare previous birthing? If yes, no need. You seem to have used your visa appropriately; that is, if you birthing intentions were relayed to the CBP Officer at POE during that trip, and that you paid, and that you neither deceived the VO or misrepresented during your previous interview.

So, go the dropbox route, the probability of you being called in for an interview isn't so high compared to other cases, but keep your mind open on it still. If this visit however isn't about holiday but going to birth, better you just schedule yourself for an interview with them to save precious time....

This was bound to happen eventually as it seems everyone is rushing to use same doctor and hospital. I remember I did advise one time that people should research on other hospitals and doctors option.
More persons will still come here to ask for their details cos we are too lazy to sit down and personally search for hospitals. I don't know why we will plan to spend so much and not take out time to actually do our searches. Na wa

There is no need being scared, you qualify for drop box. If they do call you for interview, then so be it. It's that simple.

To the best of my knowledge "Burden of proof" is not a single document (typed or written) . It a term used to refer to all the documents you take to support your claim /application when going for the visa interview to convince the Vo that you are actually going fot birthing and nothing else

Hi...it's a DIY thread so you need to choose a location that best suits you then contact hospitals and doctors there to know which works within your budget. Same goes for accommodation. To see past cost experiences for different locations discussed here, you need to go through the thread with the help of search (part 1-6). I hope this helps.

Please, what is a budget spreadsheetsheet , what does it contain and +can you please help post a sample of a budget spreadsheet that would be tendered if asked for the interview?
Because I noticed that a budget spreadsheet was asked in most of the interviews I've read through.
Please, kindly help.

Its time to give back to a community i have learnt so much from. I got my visa september 2017. Here is the transcript. I was interviewed in lagos by an elderly woman
VO goodmorning

Me: goodmorning ma'am

VO fine can i have your passport

Me: sure

VO what you going to do in the US
Me: to give birth

VO have you contacted a doctor and a hospital

Me: Yes(expatiated further on the name of the doctor and hospital and attempted to bring out the correspondence and letters but she said i shouldnt bother.

VO how did you get to know about the doctor

Me: got to know about her through a friend that had used her earlier
VO which state are you going to

Me: Georgia
VO: how long do you intend to spend
Me: 12weeks
VO: where will you stay
Me: intown suites(gave her the address)

VO: how much is your budget
Me: About 15k dollars( tried pulling out my documents but she said i shouldnt bring out any of the documents

VO: How long have you been working at your place of work
Me: Over 2yrs
VO: what does your husband do
Me: bleep
VO: will he accompany you
Me: No because hes a very busy person and cant afford to be away frm work for that long

VO: You have a son already, who will be taking care of him while you are away
Me: My mum
VO: i will grant your visa
She gave me the white paper and i said thank you.

At the airport, fit to fly from port health was requested for despite having one from my doctor. Flew virgin atlantic at 35weeks 5days in november( better to fly them earlier because they almost did not fly me under the pretence that they dont fly pregnant women beyond 32weeks as opposed to what is on their website). Anyways, God showed up for me.
Fast forward to POE
POE was atlanta. The queue was extremely long, after standing for like 1hr 30mins i was directed to use the self service machine. Got my print out and joined another queue. Got to my turn eventually.
CBP: hello
Me: hi good day
Cbp: why are you here
Me: to have my baby and spend my maternity leave
Cbp: how long will you be spending here
Me:9weeks(note i said 12weeks at my interview but couldnt make it early as i planned due to work)
Cbp: where will you stay
Me: gave him the address of the intown suite
Cbp: lemme have the hospital correspondence(handed it over to him
Cbp: how much do you have on you
Me: 4kdollars , ive paid my hospital fees and i have about 6kdollars on my cards
Cbp: can i see the receipt of payment you made to the hospital
Looked at it for a minute and went to meet another officer who told him to go give another officer.
Cbp 2: hello
Me: hi good day
Cbp 2: why are you in the US
Me: for childbirth
Cbp: how much do you have with you(gave him same response as above)
Cbp: any food stuff
Me:yes
My documents were kept in a folder and given to a lady who told me my bags will be retrieved so as to be searched.
Got to agric and they asked same questions as above and checked the documents i submitted earlier while i waited for my bags to be brought..
Waited for like 20mins and didnt see my bags, had to go bring it from baggage claim myself.
The officer in agric just said i should go with my bags, it wasnt opened. Carried rice, beans, egusi, yam flour, knor cubes, dried fish, dry pepper, peak milk, milo all packed in ziploc bags and labelled.

Planned and paid for a vaginal delievery though i ended up with a csection.Had my 9pounds 6ounce baby 5weeks after at 41weeks via emergency Ceaserian section at northside hospital . Came in for induction which was almost successful until i got dilated to 9.5cm for over 2hrs. Baby didnt descend enough to be pushed out hence i was sectioned.

Hospital bill $6875

Paid extra $685 for baby

Anesthesia: $3063

Paed $850

Doctor $1900

Infant ticket on VA $436( i almost fainted when i was told, guess its cos its peak period)

Filled the birth cert form 2days after delivery.
Birth cert was gotten 1week after( 3copies for $35

American passport $165(was gotten same day i got BC
Naija passport $235 (they had only 64pages, expedited it and got it after 1week)
SSN was gotten 12days after by mail.

Missionary journey ended successfully. We give God all the glory
A big thank you to everyone who has contributed to this forum.
Sorry about the typos(time constraints)

[quote author=chibertha post=71797307]First decide which city you want to have your baby then use Google to look for hospitals and doctors
Next contact both hospitals and doctors to see which falls into your budget.
Apply for visa if you don't have one already.
Plan your logistics and accommodation
That's all

Thanks for ur reply.I appreciate
