Good morning to all the respectable gurus here.. Today I traded my old strong decoder 4669x for Alpha box T2,S2 mpeg 4..I still don't know much about this new box. I feel like I made a wrong choice in switching from strong to alpha box..I have a digital TV so I'm not moved by the terrestrial channels of the alpha..I want to know if there are more benefits for this alpha box than the my old strong 69x decoder?

Secondly, I will also be happy if i can get help on how to input the frequency on this alpha box to get back the multi tv channels. My dish is in intact and its pointing to 28 East and 19 east..Thanks.

-Extract or unzip file.

-Save the (.stb) file into a virus-free USB flash drive and insert flash drive into the USB port of receiver.

-Press (on d RCU) MENU => USB => Data Transfer.

-Select file & press OK

The receiver re-boots on its own after successful upgrade.

I did all that and followed the steps..after successful reboot from the decoder 6969 and 8280 still don't open for the biss keys..I tried it one more time and its the same..

Thanks for your quick responds..I checked the link and it was useful though..but the challenge i have is that after downloading the patch from wizkid ..and installing .everything works fine except that the 6262 and 8280 doesn't work..so i still can't open the biss key..

You were right in your submission. I just realized that after i booted my box, I saw it downloading and then it upgraded itself. After the upgrade, I saw some new feature on the menu.."entertainment".and under the entertainment, there is a button called newspaper which says "tune receiver to frequency 12522MHz"..But I'm wondering how it manage to do that by itself since it is not connected to the internet..Besides, I am not on mytv network. My box is on astra2b multi tv bird...Can the box download and upgrade itself even if its not connected to the internet and how possible could that be...I hope George D, Pidzo, Freshp and all the gurus will help us find answers to this...

I just notice something strange on my decoder today.I do not know if everyone is experiencing the same thing. my decoder is srt69x, it was on then my lights went off but when the lights came back i forgot to quench the decoder so it came on rightaway..but suddenly i saw the screen rolling like it was booting..it did that for like almost 30 second..usually it takes like 5 seconds to boot..so i unplug the lnb cord from the back...after a while, i saw it coming normal. But what amuse me is after that scenario when i change the channel or press the info button i see something like "New S/W" on the screen on top of where we see the signal strength...so i'm wondering..what could possible be that...and why has it come now because before there was no such thing?

I am so disappointed with Multi tv..I must say its becoming very very useless to watch there now..First of all, my little understanding about cable tv is that you get the chance to watch varieties of channels you want, thus you can choose to watch News throughout the day without being interrupted.Lovers of movies could also have a channel set aside for them. In the summary, everybody get the taste of what he/she likes..and thats why a customer will spend money to go out there and buy a digit box just to get his/her preference channel..unlike the normal terrestrial tv where by viewers don't have the choice of selecting what they want to watch but rather the tv provider decides when to watch news,sports etc to the viewers...So i ask myself..does multi tv really understands what actually cable tv means? i am sure they do cuz they decided to choose satellite broadcasting rather the usual terrestrial..and therefore they also gave viewers the choice to select which channels to watch..If that is so, then what hell do they interrupt viewers when they are busily watching important programs with useless things when they know where to channel those useless stuff to.. For example, i chose to watch BBC news channel then they will interrupt me viewing with some useless stuff which has nothing to do with the news..esp when what i am actually watching is a BREAKING NEWS!!Do they determine what I must watch now?..can't they channel those useless stuff to where it has its viewers..why do u take entertainment stuff to interrupt a news channel? This is total nonsense!!!i think its much more better to watch the french channels without understanding the language though than to watch multi tv..why? cuz they will give a respect to their viewers without interrupting them..

Sometimes I wonder if these new providers are really serious!! Just imagine the new silicon TV can just switch to GTV and forgets to tune back to their own channels..and this will take like hours before they will switch back..Do they take viewers serious? The point is if You the Tv technicians do not have time to sit by ur tv and check that what you are showing to viewers are in the right accord, then how do you expect we the viewers to take your station serous!!

Atlas Life tv has brought life to Astra 2b...i hope it doesn't die like shalom tv, CRTV, our tv.etc..So far multi tv is getting worse everyday..Do they really understand what a cable tv is all about>If this is what all they've got i guess it would have been better for them to transmit on terrestrial.Their programs are getting boring everyday and every night.I must admit..it really sucks..its more worth to watch W3 with french programs than to stay on multi tv.They better situp before they turn rotten.MULTI TV WAKE UP!!.thats my piece on Astra 2b..

CRTV has died for very long time that its bones are even rotten,..but there is one CRTV which i guess its a Cameroonian TV but its not on astra 2b..

4syte Tv (Vouch) has been off air for a while..Is anybody experiencing that? please confirm..thanks..

its there a difference in W4/7 and W6? I ask this because i learnt CRTV is on W6, how do i get CRtv.Im already on W4 thus where Dstv channels are, but i tried blind scan and never got it.i use strong 69x, thanks,

I'm just encountering some challenges here, First of all, praise be to those genius people who brought the discovery of two lnbs on one dish, I must say this is one of the greatest invention in the house, Now my problem is, I succeeded in placing two lnbs on my 60cm dish and successfully tracked astra 2b and eutel sat, but just recently, i realised that i cannot hit blind scan on the astra 2b which watches multi tv, anytime i hit blind scan the decoder freezes when it gets to 22%, unless i switched off the decoder before it can work, but on the other side thus on the eutel sat when i hit blind scan on that sat nothing happens, I mean i never see any freeze on the decoder, it works perfectly without freezing, I'm wondering what could actually be causing, Everything works fine, I mean i am able to watch all the channels on the multi tv and even do manual scan, but anytime i try blind scan on the astra 2b it get stuck in the middle and freeze, I hope i will get answer for this, Thanks in advance,

Ok guys,here is the frq12.848), ,S/R 21.499 for RTG1, im seeing something interesting, it looks like my signal is not stable, it turns green n goes red, i suspect because im using double lnb for both 36 and 28 deg on 60cm dish, so guys if anyone has a stable signal let us know asap,

Guys,that channel is off now, its showing red now, i presume its test transmission, lets hope they come back soon, for now RTG1 is off.
