Ah!!, what i'm i hearing, chinese man now coming to take our women away, the only thing left to cherish our heart to live in this horror continent now its going to be taken away tooo, so what are we left on this land, they came to take all our resources rendering us poor, Oyibo man took our strong and intelligent men away to make their country better, now chin hu ppl are also coming to take our women tooo, hmmm, i hope they are not taking them to make imitation and then ship it back to us, God help us.!!!

You see this is the reason why africans cannot develop because they are always content with whatever they get whether its bad or little ok, they never go for the best.How can u say infinity has tried, try for where?, even multi tv is not asking for any thumbs up from his audience yet we could see that they're trying very hard to make a difference, 1.they are have tried to give us three news channel to keep their customers current, 2. they have a 24hrs sports channel for the lovers of sports, on top of it they have a non-stop movie channel show casing foreign movies, this is just few i can name, this is to show that they cut across of every angle of the tv lovers.

Now, do we see something like that on inifity? the only good thing i like on inifity is the good quality picture on Switch channel. Do we have sports for those who love sports on infinity?what about action movie apart from those boring Bollywood, Is this that you want to tell us they have tried? for showing us a repeated programs since the time of test transmission.sometimes i even wonder whether they are still on test transmission or not, It is not that we cannot pay, We can pay but we have to pay for a quality service, we have to pay for what is worth for, Even my grand father black &white old 14 inches tv set is clearer than superscreen on a whole cable tv!!!

We criticize for them to sit up and do the right thing so that they don't collapse from the market!!!

I'm beginning to have a feeling that infinity just enjoy of just scrambling for apparent no reason or maybe they just want to show that they too have the shoulder to go on scramble, Apart from that i don't still get it why they will even think of scrambling when they've not finished what they are supposed to as a paytv, For me I still see them as test transmission cuz certain things they do, as a normal cable tv they cannot be pardon for that. i remember i watched one particular program of theirs on click toons channel, and can u imagine that the cd or whatever it is that they were playing it kept stopping in the middle and then the next day that say program will be shown again and it will stop at the same place, and this happened for 1 week, so i asked myself, is this that they want ppl to buy their so called decoder and then pay for monthly?or are they not monitoring that because they think its kids channel so no need for any alarm?

well, if they really want to rub shoulders with the other cable tv, then they need to sit up cuz cable tv isn't like ordinary analogue tv,

i don't think if you are using multi tv box you will certainly get more channels apart from their channels, i think its only some channels of infinitive, apart from that you will be restricted to only multi tv channels, About the TV3 thing, for now i'm not sure if you're on astra 2b you will get that channel, before they used to have a contract with multi tv but its over a year now multi tv stop showing that channel,

We've heard this before, i remember when they went off for almost a month, we were assured that new channels will come up, but in the end, the only benefit we got was a clear picture,

@ captainus, i have still not found anything interesting there apart from their switch, and i only like because of the clearest picture, so i still don't see why i should get their box, so far they are almost a year old now, yet there is no action movie, no sports, and u want me to get their box!!!, maybe if they improve , i an assured u that i will get their box, but not for now,

I passed their office a week ago, and i realised they've moved out from there, as to where they are going, i don't know, and i don't know too whether they are going out of business completely, but i am sure perhaps maybe they want to change their location, cuz all the uplink sat and stuff was removed,

I have a good news for all those that have 69x and are tired and bored with this multi tv and infinity stuff, Guys , if you really want to watch free 15 channels of DSTv and a full 32 channels, then you need to start looking for your spanner and screws to hook on eutel sat 36 E, Guys this is real, I didn't believe it until i did mine this afternoon, besides i get free super sports 9 and other channel which always constantly show serious epl matches and champions league, but it only works on 69x or higher, Note u need to upgrade the firmware else you aon't gonna get the sound for 15 channels, its like the infinity stuff we experience some time, thus they are on ACC-, if you find any difficulties let me know, will help you out, its all about FTA, share and dare!

And then about CRTV, the information i have *not yet confirm.* they are trying to make it in such a way that unless you buy their decoder before you can get their channels, I'm yet to find out if its true,, will try and stop by their office tomorrow,

This news i'm hearing about upgrading of the 69x which end up frying the decoder, Now i'm in a limbo, i don't know which patch is best to upgrade, hmmmm, ,, I'm confuse, Why can't somebody paste the original patch and the process especially the do's and don't so that the newbies don't kill their decoder,
By the way, has anyone got any info on CRTV, ?

I am getting confuse now, i learned infinity will start scrambling from the first week of october, but ever since the Switch channel wahala started nobody seems to come out with a best solution, the issue now is, I'm not getting audio for voxafrica, galaxy tv, AMC, is everyone facing the same problem?

i'm not sure if this is correct, thus if u update the firmware, you might probably get the sounds, pls help me out, if it is, then where is the genuine firmware that will not kill the box?,

Sorry man, if it's really true, then I guess everyone has not been fair to you, I hope you follow the right procedure cuz during the upgrade there shouldn't be any power interruption, if it does, then u decoder will die,

With the issue of CRTV, I don't think they are that serious. They've been making the same advert more than a year ago. And apart from the CRTV they don't show any other channel.

But I will still make enquiries and find out what else do they say they can offer. EPL as you know has been the rights of DSTv only since Gateway was liquidated.

CRTV has other channels they air, but its only limited to those that have their decoders, as to whether their decoder is mpeg 4 or not, i\m not sure about that, but since their only fta channels we are able to receive is on mpeg 2 I guess their decoder might probably be an mpeg 2 *i stand for a correction*, And one thing to note also, when you buy their decoder, you will have to pay a monthly subscription I supposed,

I've started getting bored with astra 2b, I'm wondering what really is on w3, I have mpeg 4 strong decoder, thus 4669x, with a 90cm dish.planning to move, dunno if new channels will come on again apart from multi tv and crtv + infinity, need urgent advice, thnx guys! wink

It is only CRTV, that was partially down before i left home on monday.
Well a friend of my called me on thesame issue, when i got there the fisrst thing i checked was his freq computation later dish setting. Both were okay i then moven UP to the DISH and checked the LNB. They were all okay i then concluded that the dish had been shifted from its position. The track began and it was fine (but with a bit of skewing)

I already have 69x, but the symptoms I'm seeing is making me convince that its not original.Its very slow, and the usual transition that you see when you change a channel especially on 63x is not available on 69x, moreover the remote control I have for 69x I mean the features is quite different, thus there is no color button on it as with the 63x remote, Can the 63x remote work with the 69x? .How do I determine if its fake, thnx,

You have started well by getting a 4669X decoder which as of now is the latest decoder from STRONG with MPEG4 capabilities. What you need to do next is to get yourself a minimum of 1.8m mesh (or 2.4m) and proceed to motorise it. Then you will get the full benefit of the decoder you have bought. That fixed 90cm dish you have will not give you much even if you are to buy the most expensive decoder on earth!

69x will not give you channels the satellite you are facing is the one that gives channels not the decoder and your decoder is an mpeg 4 decoder so, maybe you will need to face eutelsat w2a there you will get more than 20 channels.

Thnx, but where exactly is eutelsat? is it at the west or east? Besides I use 90cm with ku band, can it catch that bird? I hope those 20 channels are better to watch, unlike the 30 boring channels on Intelsat 7/10,

After struggling so much to get the so called 69x, all i could get was multi tv and CRTV(which is not even working for 4days now), I'm really disappointed.I thought 69x could catch more than 20 channels, but here I am with only 13 channels, which 11 is controlled by one station thus muti tv, so what if multi tv goes off, that means everything is waste!!

Guys, if you give us information.pls try to use smaller terms for we the newbies to understand, and if this room is for only the gurus, just let us know, For the past 2 weeks now, I can't even locate SATELLITE TV TECHNOLOGY at the home page of nairaland.com, I was able to get here through my old bookmark I made.

if there is something i could do about this 69x to view more channels, somebody should kindly help me out, or if there is another higher version too , i need advice, thanks! lipsrsealed

Thanks for your help, i checked the speaker whether it was mute or not, That was the first thing i did, besides that, i checked the device manager to see if there is any conflict, but there was nothing of sort, The last thing I did was to format and do a new installation, which i did, I did it manually with the XP prof CD,

I also tried the process u gave me thus "services.msc" at the run, then I look for windows audio, yet, the sound is still not working, I am so crazy about this, I wish someone could help me, it seems to be getting complicated,

1. Right click the volume icon on your taskbar and select 'adjust volume properties' and then select the 'Sounds' tab

2. On the 'Sounds' tab Select 'Windows Default' as your sound scheme

3. click apply
