locodemy: For mentioning Transcorp OS divided by 12,you are talking about that company that uses HELICOPTERS to do business. The stock price was very low last year. All of a sudden, the stock started rising because of one big oil company that signed a contract with them recently.Oga,have you seen their 9 months result?I have not seen it.pls,if you have it,just repost it for me to view and give me the 6 months target price of your's.............thank you bro. bigjay01: I bought based on this rough analysis:
Share outstanding is 5B
Tigerbrands transferred 3.285B (65.7%) to Aliko.
"Subject to regulatory approvals, DIL will provide TBCG with an immediate cash injection of N10 billion. In return, Tiger Brands will divest its 65.7% shareholding in TBCG to DIL for a nominal consideration and write off its shareholder loans to TBCG. In addition, Tiger Brands will assume and settle outstanding debt guaranteed on behalf of TBCG."
This roughly implies that Aliko paid ~N3.04/ share (10B/3.285B).
I bought at N1.16, which is about 62% discount to Aliko's price.
Precedents have shown that Aliko is a very shrewd business man, I am willing to hold with him ...
Not a buy or sell recommendation bigjay01: "On the effective date as set out in paragraph 7 below, Tiger Brands will pay Dangote NGN9.50 per DFM Share, implying an aggregate purchase price of NGN30,093 million (equivalent to approximately ZAR1.5 billion) (“Purchase Price”). Excluding the once-off impact of an amount of NGN1,484 million relating to a provision for irrecoverable claims"
http://dangote.com/Investorrelations/dg-tb_Detailed%20terms-21-Sept.pdf
The bottom line is that he sees value at N3.04!
I also see value with him at 62% discount to his entry price.
I don't see how i am buying at a premium (to him) unless he is willing to sell at any price below N1.16. Will he? locodemy: what of if they decide to reconstruct the shares later.............ahh! speed on my legs o......... bigjay01: if you understand reconstruction, you'll understand that it makes no diff, because everything is adjusted proportionately.
Even if you do a 1:100, Aliko will still end up owning 65.7% and I'll still retain my tashere %age
BTW, it would appear that Aliko might be controlling over 75.% of this company locodemy: kai double speed on my legs zendi: You're more at risk of reconstruction in that your oando that is about to suffer the father of equity dilution in the process of raising 80b for debt reduction. Dangflour has only 5b OS, and 5B it will remain because Dangote doesnt do rights issue or any of such schemes by which small investors are wiped out. He funds the expansions without creating new shares. locodemy: hmm! i put my last gear..........vuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmm.............seee u post reconstruction of dangote flour or tigerhead or whatsever you call it vum vum vuuuuuuuuuuuuum |

maishai: I have come to understand that the best investment mind frame for nse is 3yrs........I had this 2 stocks(DF "then Tiger brands" and eterna) in mind this time 3 yrs ago but the sentiments on this forum discouraged me back then, my biggest pain was when one guy made an analyses of why he would buy DF cos Aliko paid #3 while he just paid #1 for the same stock,I was convinced but I did not join the bus.......God knows the fantastically sweet profit I would have been sitting on given the huge funds @ my disposal bck then..... Looking forward I think there are some stocks that might repeat that cycle but I will wait for January b4 I place my bet................................. honestly i remember the post and am still trying to remember the handle that made the post. the price was @ 1.20 when he made the post and went down the following week to 79k. many post that follow his post did not encouraging with Loco at the front roll of all bad comment waiting for 55k. i wanted to buy but each minute i check their report i got discourage as i didn't see anything good to come out of it. chai! imagine one bought 10m unit at N1 and forget it......... |

I agree with loco, though the stock is still valued above N1 but this current report is not a good sign when compare to Q2. how are we sure eps for Q4 will not go down to half of this Q3 the question now is how can i leave other good stock with probabilities of good capital gain to buy peter diamond bank |

locodemy: Even if the stock is Daarcomm....... Just mention it..........my ears are itching seriously here. the company came on the believe to get more maga for capital rising thereby listed on nse few years ago at a ridiculous price but unfortunately investors are wiser thereby crash d price to the lowest last year their outstanding share is Transcorp outstanding divided by 12 currently on full offer at the moment. thought tritritri might not see his kind of volume buy here with this many here can tell you the name |
