I partially disagree with Agba, depending on what you are looking for. If I have reach my comfort level

or margin of safety level on a good stock that always deliver dividends. If I could get 14% in dividend per year which currently is higher than TB.

waiting in that stock could worth it.Dividend could be reinvested during bear period. A lot is to be considered along various opportunities and

associated risks. Bear period is a time for me to play with volume in good stocks.

For the hit and runs guys this may not be their take.

good strategy but some company on nse use situation on ground to pass information. some company used opportunity of bear period to declare loss or lower PAT result. whose down already fear no fall

if stock continuing going down, don't u think company can use the opportunity to reduce dividend. let see how interim dividend will look like in few week time

some company declear strong earnings during bullish period and vice versa... the more u look the less u see

Am actually not comparing zenith bank with UBA,obviously uba has a better/fairer, valuation and prospect (especially in term of capital appreciation) ,am just curious about his average price for UBA(7.45), Considering the fact that UBA 52wk low was around 5.45 (that a huge 36% difference),systematic average down would have been more appropriate,and probably bring the price down to a comfortable level(margin of safety)
A times buying on a scale down and selling on a scale up does the trick.

In my own opinion, I don't think so. For my side based on my fair price valuation. Uba still cheaper than zenith at their currentprice.
