They are just summoning him to come and retire the money and make sure the bag is well secured for next elections. Nothing is going to happen to him. He was sent there to go and do "something". He has filled the bags amd achieved the mission. He is just going to show his principal how much was pilfered. No shaking. The thieves are all together. They know what they are doing. Don't start rejoicing. |
During Buhari regime, only army officers of Northern extraction were posted to head 6 Division in Port Harcourt and Warri, Delta and also to head the crude oil bunkering task force. Navy formations were almost always led by officers of Yoruba extraction. Lobbying was intense to be posted to formations in Rivers, Delta and Bayelsa states. Everyone knew those postings were passport to amass incredile wealth as they simply enabled and protected the crude oil theft. They all had thier cut in every loaded vessel of crude oil. Infact the collusion with oil theft cabal was so glaring, the boys who carry oit the dirty work of tapping Shell oil pipelines showed journalists who dared to visit the creeks which army general owned which crude oil tapping point. She'll newly constructed $2billion, 36" large crude Nembe Creek oil trunkline (NCTL) to Bonny Terminal was tapped at some many points that if Shell puts in 100 barrels, less than 10 barrels is what they will receive at Bonny Terminal for export. At a point Shell simply gave up patching the pipeline and systematically shut-in production at upstream flowstations. Other smaller Nigerian operators who feed oil into that pipeline also stopped and resorted to expensive barging of crude with vessels as an alternative. The army and navy generals fed fat and allowed huge vessels to sail into and anchor in Nigerian waters, while smaller vessels went into the wellheads and flowstations to "bunker" (steal) Nigeria's wealth. During elections they got paid handsomely by governors in Niger Delta area and powerful interests in Abuja to allow them rig elections. This was at the heart of Wike's bold and open confrontation and accusation of army commanders during the last election. Wike exposed a lot of things. The activities of these oil thieves facilitated by powerful figures in Abuja and Lagos further worsened the decades of environmental devastation by Shell's oil operation, especially in Ogoni land and the creeks. At a point Shell thought it more prudent to sell off it's oil business in the creeks transferring the legacy oil spills small Nigerian operators and walked away with massive profit. They now focus on deep offshore operations only. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2023/12/oil-theft-how-some-military-men-collude-with-oil-barons/amp/ https://ti-defence.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Military-Involvement-Oil-Theft-Niger-Delta_WEB.pdf |
The oil companies HQ were already at Lagos decades before resource control agitation and youth militancy started. When the major oil companies artived in the 50's and 60's they simply set up thier HQ in Lagos, the political and financial hub of the country. That's where the top echelon of the company prefer to operate from for easy access to power brokers, infrastructure and amenities for their families. Get your facts right. LeoThaGreat: |
He referred to Yorubas as "species of human race". That's degrading. You use such qualification to refer to animals or non-humans. ![]() Looks like he is using tongue-in-cheek to insult a whole tribe |

Fighting corruption knows no borders or limits on accountability. Even when high-profile individuals engage in corruption, they can be barred from receiving U.S. Visas. Please go to US Embassy X-handle, @USAinNigeria and flood that lying thread. Ask the Embassy to show workings with curropt politicians rather than threatening people who comment on the Xharlie Ki*k assassination.

I have one question; WHEN WILL WIKE FINALLY JOIN APC? APC where his sympathies and loyalty lies. |
You lack words to describe the ongoing scorched earth TINUBULATION. Please explain how Jonathan was careless and reckless . Seems you are still feeding on the cocktail of lies APC fed you guys to grab power by all means in 2015. I thought by now everybody's eyes should have been opened to thier lies. MrIcredible: |
And the babies theybuse to beg are not even thier own. They rent those babies from day all those backyard day care, give them sleeping tablets so they will sleep throughout the whole day, no matter how hot the sun is. This ensures the babies don't disturb the begging business by crying or wanting to play in the traffic 😢 |
You are comparing oranges and coconuts. Niger Delta militants are completely different from the murderous gang wrecking destruction in the North. Niger-Delta Militants: 1. Had clear and justifiable grievance and demands which the whole world understood. They wanted end to destruction of thier way of life (essentially fishing) by near total pollution and destruction of thier wetlands and livelihood due to decades of oil pollution principally by Shell and other IOCs like Chevron, Agip and Elf operating in the area. 2. Fair access or control of the wealth being extracted by these large oil companies on behalf of Nigerian government and used to develop other parts of the country, while basic amenities like water, basic Healthcare facilities, functional schools are non-existent in thier communities. 3. Their primary target was oil facilities in the area. Later, criminal elements infiltrated the area to start kidnapping oil workers for ransom. They never massacred innocent citizens, or raided churches and mosques like the ISWAP/BOKO HARAM gang are currently doing in the North. 4. When Yar'Adua came up with the a programme to address thier demands, they willingly cane out of the creeks, accepted the Amnesty Programmme, and laid down thier arms. Many were sent on various kinds of skills training and they re-integrated. 5. It was part of the measures to address the agitation in the Niger Delta that made the previous government of Obasanjo to implement the 13% derivation and formation of Oil Mineral Producing Area Development Committees (OMPADEC) in all oil producing states. The struggle of Niger Delta people preceded even the Babangida regime. Every government ignored thier peaceful agitation and demands for years. In fact the agitation led to the killing of the playwright and famous novelist Ken Saro-Wiwa by the Abacha regime. It was the killing of Ken Saro-Wiwa with the active encouragement of Shell that convinced Niger Delta agitators that peaceful agitation will never yield results. That's when destruction of oil infrastructure started in thier effort to stop oil production activities completely in thier area. Please can you tell the world the altruistic or legitimate demands and negotiation terms of the ISWAP and Boko Haram terrorists in the North? Have they laid down thier arms like Niger Delta agitators under the leadership of Tom Polo, Asari Dokubo, and other MEND leaders? Omoawoke: |
Ruben Abati understood thr sarcasm in Dino's comments. He is just trying to position himself. We understand the parole. What he doesn't understand is that space is already fully occupied by Reno and Bwala. Dino could also have stretched the sarcasm by saying very soon the Tinubu government will start borrowing from market women and pomo sellers. He was simply highlighting the insatiable taste of the government for execessive borrowing and wasteful spending. |
They deliberately blocked and made IREV inoperable so they can bring in doctored result sheets at ward collation centers. Those that cannot be doctored at ward collation centres were doctored at LGA collation centers. At LGA and State collation centers level, most of the damage had already been done. If party agents protested, they accuse you of disrupting the process, and the army/MOPO will eject the fellow so they can continue the fraud. It was heartbreaking to witness such brazen rigging💔 The machinery was not fully in place during the first election. That is why you saw the shocking result of APC losing Lagos to LP. Thie was "corrected" in subsequent elections. That lose to LP in Lagos is at the heart of the new orchestrated hatred towards Igbos in Lagos, because the believe is that the Igbos voted as a block for LP. It thoroughly embarrassed and demystified the political invincibility of Bola Tinubu in Lagos. In subsequent elections, foot soldiers like MC Oluomo were deployed to the field to warn Igbos to either vote APC or leave Lagos. Voting in large Igbo population areas like Ojo Town and Trade Fair Complex were massively suppressed or disrupted. It was well organized and funded to achieve the intended result. HRTOFAKNG: |
So what is holding them from going to court? Why are running from pilar to post, writing long letters to Facebook (Meta) and Twitter (X), begging them to block Sowore's account? Why all the backdoor and private pleas to Sowore to delete the posts? Why try to silence him? Let them "GO TO COURT" !!! naijacalifornia: |
N3.8 trillion to rehabilitate. N3.6 trillion to fully reconstruct. These figures are obviously phantom numbers. So it's cheaper to execute full reconstruction than to rehabilitate. Everything in Nigeria is always upside-down. Those figures are higher than the entire national budget. They deliberately make the rehabilitation cost higher than full reconstruction cost because that's the option they want to follow. It's just an avenue to eat big 😋 Nigeria is in trouble in the hands of these rogues in power. |
100% correct. That red thing is just decoration and not a suspension bridge. I was just laughing when I saw it. It looks like bling bling. That is how ex-Gov Umahi splashed funny colours all over Ebonyi airport, yet the quality of construction was substandard. The airport is now leaking like basket and gettting flooded when it rains. Why don't they take thier own advice of "GO TO COURT" when people complain about them rigging elections. They should sue Sowore to thier courts which is inside thier pockets. Why try to muzzle him through the backdoor? phemray: |

Bro, it wasn't the runway. Goodluck Jonathan conceived and commenced construction of the new terminal at MMIA. I have pictures of it in my old phone. By the time Buhari came in the structural, mechanical, HVAC and electricals were completed. Landscaping was already in progress. It was just furnishings that was remaining. Some private VIP and private planes were already using part of it but it wasn't opened to commercial flights. Apart from Buhari famed slowness in taking decisions, the Buhari gove decided to stop work on all projects initiated by GEJ so that they will not eat thier words with all the lies they peddled against him to win election in 2015. Grok or Gemini query will give you the truth. Jorussia:

Louis Orok Edet was the 1st indigenous Inspector General of Police. Know the truth. Reject deception. The police HQ at Abuja was named after him to correct the injustice done to him when the named the HQ in Lagos after Kam Salem who came after him.
|
johngwain:His rapid rise had nothing to do with things working in Nigeria, it was during the era when Northernisation was aggressively implemented in Nigeria. |
ohosi4real:Don't mind them. Let them keep spreading lies. Nigeria is a nation built on the foundation of lies. IGP Louis Orok Edet is the first indigenous Inspector of Police. No amount of lies will change that fact of history.
|
Stop spreading the usual Nigerian lies. We love to lie about everything to favour specific sections of the country. The first indigenous IGP was Loius Orok Edet from Calabar, Cross River State. He served from 1964-1966. Kam Salem took over in 1966. How can someone who took over be the first. Unfortunately we teach these lies to our children in social studies curriculum in primary and secondary schools. A simple Google search will reveal the truth. This is why when the named the Police HQ in Lagos after Kam Salem, after labelling him as first IGP, there was national outcry against the injustice. Out of shame, they had to name the newer one at Abuja after Louis Orok Edet. This is one of the reasons Nigeria cannot prosper. We call black white, and white, black.
