PoliticsRe: IG Orders KWAM 1’s Probe Over Unruly Conduct At Abuja Airport by cuteboy2: 4:56am On Aug 13, 2025
It is just kangaroo probe to save face. The matter has already been swept under the carpet. Nothing will come out of it.

Why didn't they order a probe on the Emmanson/Ibom Air incident?

Someone committed such glaring crime, and it was caught on camera. Yet, they want to order a probe or Commission of Enquiry, probably to be chaired by a retired judge. It will take them 2 years to conclude the probe then government will issue white paper on the probe. We are not a serious country.

There is a reason serious countries don't rate Nigeria or take us seriously. We are a glorified banana republic.

kaludestiny10:
Strong opposition is good in any country. If not that Peter Obi and some opposition party members from ADC called out this Tinubu government after the Ibom air trouble with the lady, the government would have swept the other incident involving that musician under the carpet. Wayo wayo government.

On what grounds are they suspending the 2 pilots?? For preventing a drunkard from disrupting a flight? Why punish the innocent pilots for doing their job?

These people and thier connection to this agbero grab-and-run government have turned the country upside down.

The pilots should sue NCAA and FAAN for defamation og character and unjust treatment.
PoliticsRe: Why We Are Spending ₦712 Billion To Renovate Lagos Airport — Keyamo by cuteboy2: 12:08pm On Aug 04, 2025
Stop spreading falsehood. Goodluck Jonathan built that new terminal. When Buhari and his band of liars came in, they refused to commission it for many months so that credit will not go to GEJ.

Google search can help you with facts.

Maxymilliano:
Festus don hammer

Late President Buhari built that international terminal at Muritala Mohammed international airport Lagos at N106b and commissioned it on 22 may 2022

Now, president Tinubu is renovating the airport with N712b just two years and 3 months after 😲
PoliticsRe: BRICS: Tinubu Setting Himself Up Against Trump by cuteboy2(op): 8:44am On Jul 31, 2025
That phrase "financial restructuring" in Tinubu's X post is tongue-in-cheek code word for dumping the US dollar as world reserve currency which Trump has vowed to fight against it's proponents.

Good luck to Tinubu, Lula, Maduro, Putin and Xi in thier quest to replace the US dollar.

PoliticsBRICS: Tinubu Setting Himself Up Against Trump by cuteboy2(op): 8:40am On Jul 31, 2025
Trump does not take kindly to efforts by BRICS undermining the role of US dollar as world reserve currency as being championed by Russia and China. During last BRICS summit , Brazil was very vocal in pushing the idea.

All 3 countries, Russia, China and Brazil are in Trump's cross hairs for massive sanction. Venezuela is also a great supporter of the idea because of longstanding economic sanctions by USA.

Unfortunately, President Tinubu, seeking his first real relevance in international scene has opened his full chest to support the BRICS move. This will put him personally in Trump's bad books. And will draw tariff and visa punitive measures from Trump who runs diplomacy on a very personal level.

By the time Trump opens his old drug case files, PBAT will have only himself to blame for picking the wrong fight with a man who doesn't pull punches with fighting dirty. I hope this will not blow back Nigerian oil and gas industry that depends heavily on equipment and material import from USA, and on innocent Nigerians who invest so much in educating thier children in US colleges.

Which kind yeye settlement be that?
Anything that was settled can always be unsettled.

Don't forget that Tinubu has unwisely aligned himself with BRICS just like Brazil, with the aim to invalidate the US dollar as the world's prime reserve currency . This has triggered Trump anger and punitive tariff against President Lula and Brazil.

Tinubu went to open his mouth wide about BRICS. See his X post below. By the time Trump opens his file, that his drug case settlement will be re-opened.

This man has zero iota of self worth. He sold whatever was left after endorsing Buhari at Tinubu's prompting.

Every man has a price. Unfortunately, Soyinka's price is embarrassingly low - just a few empty pots from Remi Tinubu was enough to buy his conscience and loyalty. Even Reno and Bwala command higher syncophancy price.

Really sad 😔

BusinessRe: KPMG Announces Appointment Of Six Nigerians Among Nine New Partners In W.Africa by cuteboy2: 4:32pm On Mar 01, 2025
When someone writes such long epistle to explain the massively lopsided Yoruba domination in establishments led by them, you know the logic will be anaemic.

Stop defending the indefensible. You base your argument on claim to "know people who worked at ExxonMobil". I worked there myself. So my info is first hand.

Why are you generalizing the recruitment and career progression in oil and gas companies in Nigeria based on your external perception?
Don't drag She'll into the matter. Shell is the best international oil company in Nigeria in fair recruitment and career progression. I was referring very specifically to the domination at ExxonMobil. Don't use Shell's credibility to polish ExxonMobil image.

I know first hand the atrocities Otunba Oladunni perpetrated at ExxonMobil, right from when they had their HQ at Bookshop House at Broad Street, Lagos. He has a BA in business administration from one obscure college in Nebraska. He had zero technical background in oil and gas. He Joined the company in Personnel Dept as it was then called. From there, he consolidated everything related to Administration under him. It's as Admin Manager he operated and perpetrated his tribal agenda lopsided recruitment and career manipulation.

I'm telling you what I witnessed at ExxonMobil.

I know someone will bring the foolish smartness and hardworking argument. If one ethnic group is so much smarter than others, why can't they replicate the domination at Shell, Chevron and Total where things are run more fairly? ExxonMobil stuck out like a sore thumb principally due to the antics of Solomon Oladunni.

Konquest:
These summations of yours are NOT entirely true but based of off HIGHLY misleading perceptions. I personally know folks who worked at ExxonMobil Lagos and Eket. Folks from different backgrounds and ethnicities were recruited into ExxonMobil Nigeria based on merit. Folks from Akwa Ibom where the oil and gas-rich Eket is located wanted to be employed in senior positions, but to occupy the positions you have to be brilliant in the Engineering and science fields. Hopefully, with more Akwa Ibom folks gravitating to those science fields, there would be more recruitments based on merit, but then again, the oil and gas industry has limited spaces, with the total number of workers in that sector hovering within that 5000 range. So, focus has to also be on promoting other disruptive, globally competitive fields for employment.

Coincidentally, I know a lot about the corporate recruitments in the oil and gas industry including the top international consulting firms and can say without a shadow of doubt that recruitments were based off of merit. A lot of the false accusations that are made that folks of Yoruba descent (who have ALWAYS excelled for decades in the STEM fields such as Engineering and the finance fields such as Accounting. Population also matters as the Yorubas as of now have an estimated population of over 60 million who are indigenous to Nigeria, Benin, Togo, with Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, the UK, Canada, United States, etc, being other major population centers where Yorubas are domiciled doing international business, and other kinds of professions) had taken over the oil and gas jobs are beer palor stories meant to demonize them.

I still have filed away some Shell Petroleum Development Corporation (SPDC) in-house magazines or newsletters that show CLEARLY the names of the top staff of that international IOC that worked in the 1990s right into the 2000s and many were from the South East and South of South as well as Yoruba folks as well. These folks from different regions have some of the most brilliant folks in Nigeria and the world who also went on cross-postings.

Diezani-Allison Madueke (now Diezani Agama who is from Bayelsa read Architecture and she worked with SPDC in PH back in the 1990s right into the 2000s). We can recall that the very dynamic and amiable Mr. Edgar Imomoh from Edo State was also the SPDC boss from the 2000s after the very amiable White gentleman who was the big boss left.

It's highly dishonest for anyone who isn't an insider in these multinational firms to say that Yorubas had cornered the industry based on useless beer palor fables over bottles of beer or palm wine, meanwhile the reality isn't so.

BusinessRe: KPMG Announces Appointment Of Six Nigerians Among Nine New Partners In W.Africa by cuteboy2: 9:32am On Oct 03, 2024
Very correct. That is the real reason for the lopsided domination.

Otunba Solomon Oladunni did exactly the same thing at ExxonMobil. The domination starts at the recruitment stage, through development training and foreign assignments, etc.

Oshokhai69:
KPMG Nigeria was run by a gentleman called Kunle Elebute for a very long time. Well over two decades before he retired a couple of years ago. It’s a well known fact in the industry that he mainly hired from a particular tribe during those years.

If most of the staff in an organization are from a particular tribe, it is only natural that the leadership will be dominated by that tribe.

FoodRe: Hardship: Kaduna Residents Abandon Yam As 100 Tubers Sell For N1m by cuteboy2: 7:36am On Jul 28, 2024
Your Yam Farming Economics 101 seems fantastic.
Let's break it down a bit:

Seedlings - N400 ea
Bush clearing and tilling - free
Labourers for planting - free
Germinating Rate - 100%
Weeding - free
Pesticides - free
Staking - free
Fertiliser - "few tablespoons" (so free)
Payments to Bandits - free
Irrigation - free
Labourers for Harvesting - free
Transportation: farm to market - free
Exhortation by various govt agencies and police on the road - free

TOTAL Cost to plant 600 tuber = ₦400 x 600
= ₦240,000

GROSS SALES = N10,000/tuber x 600 tubers
= ₦6,000,000 or ₦6m

NET PROFIT = ₦5,760,000 !!!

Chai. Ol' boy! What a massive profit margin!!!
And you are wasting your time pounding the streets looking for paid employment.

You should jump into it and cream the huge profit.

Or sell your own for ₦1000 per tuber and still make a huge profit of ₦1000-₦400 = ₦600/tuber

When are you going to start your own farm? The profit margin is fantastic!!

Zwooks:
Thieves. Eveyone wants to use their legitimate businesses to dupe people

Yam seedling costs 400 Naira max. So, why should yams sell so costly ?

A plot can accomodate 600 tubers and would only need some table spoons of NPK fron start till harvest, so why the expensive price. Most Nigerians thesedays heartlessly and indiscrimately increases the orice of their products to take advantage of their fellow human beings. Thieves
