Is Lagos not down already? Or should we say, pocketed by Tinubu for over 32 years (under Tinubu himself, Fashola, Ambode, Sanwo-Olu). It would have been better if Lagos was "down" (whatever that means), than to be pocketed by one man for almost half a century.

Lagos is a huge shame that it is today because of the stranglehold of Tinubu on Lagos finances and treasury. He sits like a huge albatross on the neck of Lagos. When Fashola tried to run the state's finances and award large contracts transparently and independently, Tinubu raged and began moves to deny Fashola a second term. He wanted massive metroline contracts awarded to Hitech Construction company he owns jointly Gilbert Chagouri. But Tinubu selfishly allowed Julius Berger to construct the Awolowo Rd - Bourdillion - Alexander Rd in Ikoyi because it passes in front if his house. That road, Ikoyi bridge and Falomo-Lekki link flyover done by Julius Berger under Fashola are the best and only enduring roads in Lagos today.

Go and look at the mess that Hitech made of Lagos-Epe Expressway expansion. This was an existing road built by Sir Michael Otedola. Over 20 years since work started b Hitech on simple expansion, that road is yet to be completed. Potholes appeared as construction was progressing. It is a crying shame.

Lagos today has no city-wide potable water system, no modern drainage system, no central sewage system. In fact, it doesn't even have sewage treatment facility. Raw sewage is still being evacuated by sewage trucks and discharged into the Lagoon Admiralty road, Lekki phase 1. For a city of that size, the sight of sewage trucks leaking human waste demeans the status of the city.

Let's not talk about flood aggravated principally by greedy uncoordinated dredging and claiming of land in the the Lagoon.

The person who introduced the politics of mob insult and false virulent attack on political opponents was Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC gang of paid data boys during the 2015 elections. Unfortunately, Prof Wole Soyinka was part of that gang.

The systematic targeting of Igbos, electoral disenfranchisement, and destruction of thier businesses was unleashed. MC Oluomo led the charge of Agberos threatening that Igbos either vote APC or leave Lagos. Oba of Lagos, Oba Akiolu joined the fray with his famous drowning of Easterners in the Lagos.

Voter cards bearing Igbo names were sorted out and dumped. Voting was restricted in Satellite Town, Alimosho, and other areas with large Igbo population. Senator Remi Tinubu (an RCCG Pastor) publicly declared that the the deities of Yorubaland will be summoned to rain curses on Igbos for not voting APC.

Before the next set of elections, polling units i Lagos were relocated overnight. All Obas were instructed to declarenand commence emergency Oro festivals all over Lagos State. Juju and all sorts of fetish sacrifices were used to cross roads leading to polling units, and none-Yorubas were forbidden to go across those fetish sacrifices.

Nothing the followers of Labour Party or Peter Obi said about Wole Soyinka comes close in shear crudeness or foul language to what APC e-rats, paid keyboard warriors, agberos, and unfortunately educated hirelings like Wole Soyinka did. They simply copied the tactics and methods to a lesser degree of APC keyboard warriors.

To this day, even after Tinubu took over fron Buhari, those virulent APC keyboard warrior are like Bayo Onanuga who now in government, continue with thier filthy language and hateful attacks in anyone who calls out the horrible governance and rabid curroption of the Bola Tinubu government.
