sarutobie: In the bible,Christ walked on water and beckoned peter to come.peter followed suit and was walking on water by faith till he looked around and was overcome with fear.he started to sink..christ said to him"o ye of little faith!"..Christ also said"anything is possible for they that BELIEVE"..the mysteries of the universe transcends physical forms whether you believe it or not..voodoo or magic, palm readers, exists thus the bible says that the devil is a perverter of the true ways of God..you are what you believe but that doesn't invalidate the existence of what you don't believe in..
when christ said everything is possible if you believe he was only teaching his followers about power of faith. It has nothing to do with JUJU and VOODOO..
If it only takes faith to move mountain why then do people need JUJU AND VOODOO?..
because there is nothing like that...

The technical name for this occurence is "penis captivus". This would occur if the muscles in the vagina clamp down on the penis much more firmly than usual, making it impossible for the penis to withdraw from the vagina regardless of erection

Believe it or not, it has happened before (I have a friend who's a nurse who once had to deal with this in the Emergency Room). However it's extremely rare in humans.

It's caused by a very powerful muscle cramp in the woman. It tends to hurt both people at the same time.

Most of the time, even if a woman gets a strong muscle cramp in the vagina, the penis can be removed without any trouble. However, if the man feels pain upon attempting to withdraw, then it might end up with a trip to the hospital. All they do at the hospital is inject the woman with a muscle relaxant.

However, like I said: extremely rare! I've been researching and talking to people about sex for more than ten years, and I've only ever heard of one case of this ever happening.

Do you see how shallow we Africans are?.. penis get stuck in the Virgina is now called JUJUhuh VOODOOOhuh why are we going to school? what happens to little research? why not ask questions?
is only in African that people killed by thunder are called JUJU and VOODOO.
only in Africa that people dying in HIV are called JUJU and VOODOO...

So back to the posters question all those things sure can happen, even albert einstein agreed that there was a power that he himself knows exist but could not explain, this powers had been mastered by our ancestors for centuries, but when the whitemen came with theirs they could offer explanations for their every single act making us to believe it was science but my dear N landers i can here tell you that science and vodoo are but one and the same thing but just packaged differently

odumchi: If the world thought like this, then progress would be impossible. Like I said earlier, not everything in this world can be explained by humans because we aren't intelligent enough to do so.

A mere two hundred years ago, people said that flying was impossible; now look at today.

Let me ask you, were you there when Jesus was born? How are you sure that he existed?
things like what can not be explain by human? are you talking about human from African point of view or Human in general? Like the moon, mars, can not be explained by Africans right?
Bros, you do not have idea how far other developed countries have gone in exploring things that we thought are imaginable in this life.

which people said flying was impossible in 200 years ago? left for Africans, no one would have tried the experiment The wright Brothers tried in 1899. people who see far and beyond knew that it is possible to imitate the birds. All they were doing is doing research on the principle behind the ability of an object being able to fly in the air.

I was in Abia state the year that that happened. Aba was shook due Osisankwu's kidnapping spree and the situation got so bad that people abandoned parts of the city and the army was called in. I clearly remember my grandmother handing me the newspaper titled "Osisikwankwu killed by army".

And let me just ask you this, were your there when Jesus turned water into wine or did people tell you that he did?
THE QUESTION IS.." DID YOU SEE OSISI DISAPPEAR?? OR YOU JUST HEARD PEOPLE SAID IT?.. OR TELL ME ANY BODY, FRIEND OR RELATIVES WHO COULD TESTIFY THAT THEY SAW OSISI DISAPPEARED..
what is wrong with africanshuh? when will we wake up from this slumber and face the reality of science and technologyhuh.

like i said before, i do not want us to divert the topic by going into the scripture because that will be a different argument altogether.

vislabraye: I agree with you absoltely.
@poster. You can't just sit down at home and say that you don't believe in this or that. Go out and see for you self.
I have watched several documentaries.
There was a particular house that was said to be haunted. These set of scientists set hidden cameras in the room. At night, they saw chairs and tables moving in an empty room.
I don't know whether you've watched psychic detective before. These are facts that certain things which you would call superstition.
There's a graveyard in England where tourist have claimed to see ghosts who later vanished. A lady gave a vivid discription of a ghost she saw. It was discovered that it was Charles Dickens. I've watched quite a lot of documentaries and I've encountered certain things. If you want to know whether these things exist, go out and explore.
was that your first time of seeing chair and table move in the movies?

nyameke: I have two words for you " beliefs. and " reality" your beliefs form your reality and what you don't believe in has no bearing in your reality. That's the simple truth..

African warriors could not or would not disappear or overwhelm their white invaders simple because both groups had different beliefs and thus realities.
so did not those that believed disappear? As far as I believe about 90 percent of those warrior were traditionalist .

Thereishel: Jesus said, "All power in heaven and in earth is given unto me, behold in my name you will cast out the devils......" The Supreme power is only from Almighty God. However, i have been old enough, lives in village for long time and see the agents of satan using all this types of power with the Bible confirming it thro Jesus dat all powers in heaven and in earth. Many of you that are talking about this are very young and have never witness this but i am confirming to you that all these are realities because i have witnessed these. The only one that i can tell you is that the dead man cannot appear to no man because "It is appointed unto all men to die once and after this is judgement" but the occultic ppl can invoke evil spirit that resembles a dead man to be seen. Sometimes they would look for a man that resembles a dead man to be seen as dead. Omode ko mo Ooogun o npe lefo.
Let me quickly tell u a story dat happened in my village more than 60 years ago; There were group of hunters that would celebrates the dead of their colleagues "IPA ODE" and they would gather all his juju and other power put it on the head of the first son early in the morning to go and burn it at the outskirt of the village and would called the dead man thrice and it would answer his colleagues with the same voice dressed in white robe and they would go back to the village. One day, there was this radical villager who was very curious and inquistive this radical was not part of hunter cult; he dressed in white cloth and went to the spot where they would call the dead man and hid on a tree to see their secret. As these hunters came to call their dead colleague; first and second times b/4 third call this man jumped down from the tree and started running after these hunters. Everyone was afraid throw their gun away and the decoy they hid to represent the dead man also started running into the village and this radical man chased them towards the village b/4 he ran back to the outskirt of the village. Who will see the dead man and wait! IPA ODE TI WON NSI IRO NLA NI" Eventually, the hunters did the research and find out the man that leaked their secret but eventaully this man ran away from the village so that they would not be able to harm him.
If all power in heaven and earth is given to Jesus. Which other power is left for juju? Are you confused? You just said that once a man die he is dead forever and do not appear again. Then your story contradicted what you just said.
You can not see spirit. No one volk any spirit to appear to you. Some times when u r in dream u can see the face of your love ones who are passed. It has nothing to do with juju but just brain and dreams. we might be young, but we are more lettered than our fore fathers.

basher: There is a clear difference between science/engineering/mechanics etc. and superstitions. Remember that the white man had similar, if not worse, superstitions hundreds of years ago. Can't we just admit that these superstitions are just a sign of backwardness and ignorance? Am I mistaken in noticing that the more civilized you get; the less these superstition abounds irrespective of religion. In fact, religion actually feeds off it. Europeans were very superstitious when they were more religious.
yes superstition fades away as generation passes by because people came to reilase how unreal those believes are. The only people who tend to clinch on voodoo are the under developed countries who has refused to develope mentally, academically, technologically, and morally.
CultureRe: Do You Believe In These Superstitions? by cuteonyii(op): 10:57pm On Aug 26, 2012
vislabraye: I believe in the supernatural. Its vey obvious and I see why some people can't see it.
I'll try to answer your question. Black magic has its limitation. Satan can't help anyone when he/she wants him the most. That's the reason Africa was easily conquered.
Some times, I believe it is God who makes fool os diviners because of his sovereignty.

The poster seems to be confused. He says he believes magic exists and he claims to have witnessed some. Then why is it impossible for him to believe that evil could be perpetuated through this power?
Sorry I'm not confused in any way. I have seen people play magic and I said yes it exist.. BUT KEY POINT IS THAT THOSE MAGIC ARE ILLUSION, TRICKS, AND DECIET.
That people like you think that magic is a kind of supernatural power but is not. Is just simple algebra that has formula and rules. Even kids can perform them.
CultureRe: Do You Believe In These Superstitions? by cuteonyii(op): 10:52pm On Aug 26, 2012
vislabraye: Its only naivety for some one to think that black magic doesn't exist.
What you call superstition is in fact supernatural occurence. The fact that you don't believe in electricity doesn't mean it does not exist.
There's something called enchantment and divination. I have witnessed some supernatural occurences so I know what I'm talking about.
May God help you.
All the effort you put so far do not in any way show that black magic is real. There is no doubt that the name and believe exist. But the reality is that no one can prove to us how real.
Something called a name does not mean it is real. Everything on this earth has a name. Does it make it real? noo
It is naivety when you fail to produce evidence that shows that voodoo is not superstitious..

nyameke: lol Yea he is as confused as most of the masses out there .he is scattering his thoughts and contentions all over the place and not making much sense..he lacks understanding of how the universe works and so going back and forth with him is futile.. Jou can't force people to understand stuffs when they are not willing or ready for it..I let nature takes it course

I always say reading.seeing, knowing, analysing and in this case debating something is NOT the same as understanding it. Let me repeat reading , seeing and knowing about something does not mean you understand it..

Only application and physical action on knowledge brings genuine understanding. They say knowledge is power and sets you free but I say complete freedom comes only when you understand the knowledge in your grasp..
It is very shameful to be educated and still carry the burden of voodoo upon you. every tested and proven reality is accepted by almost 99% of the world population.
How many people practice and believe in the power of voodoo?..
the answer will tell you how realistic voodoo is..

Especially number 4, i actually know that from experience, my uncle is a surgeon at the general hospital dambata kano state, he perfomed a surgery on a woman where he actually removed a tortoise from her cervix. I dont think the tortoise actually crawled up into her cervix. Even the "oyinbos" believe in voodoo. They cast spells on people and they even throw it in your face in movies (harry potter, skeleton key). I just hope it doesnt take an experience for you to believe. Pray and walk with God
