Matthew 22:36-40 Master, which [is] the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
and he said if you love me keep my commandments.. so for you to prove that you love God, you have to keep thesame commandment you want to run away from.. so now which one is greater now?

I have never seen people who are so much baised and confussed like our nigerians. you might be educated but you are very poor, unemployed. the only option you have is kiddnapping, armed robbering, scaming, or if u are a politician then u turn to a professional thief or better yet a carnibal animal. but those that ran away from your trouble to a better place and choose to do lawful jobs to make end means, YOU CALL NAMES.. even when some of these guys are students who are just passing time with those menial jobs till they graduate and find something better. Still yet, same people you call names you keep pestering all the time to send you money and if they fail to, you will come to nairaland and call them cab drivers. God is watching..

omocheche: I think they do it out of care and concern they have for children, my mum most especially will not let me be,i think they feel a sense of fulfillment in seeing their baby getting married, this is not just for the girl child alone it also goes for the boys too. my mum almost was crying for me when my childhood friend got married in August, i encourage her to be patient and pray for me while i wait for God's time my marriage. I think parent do it out of love for their children.
wao you really sound like a very reasonable girl.. i like you.
Family / Re: Are You Happy With Your Name? by cuteonyii(m): 7:18pm On Nov 09, 2012
dvdon: I love mine. But serzly some names sound like drum repercussion like
Ndubuoganaya
Odum
Ndubisi
Some even sounds wacked that it can degrade your personality e.g
Okorowanta
Akpors
Rukewe
Akpan
Obiangeri
So my advise to pple bearing these names is to use your englsh name more or go for catholic Confirmation.
i don't agree with you. none of those names is bad at all. what i think is that no body wants to answer a name of a wicked person, mad person, evil person etc.eg. cain, but If ndubisi is a name of a gorvernor, or obiageli is the name of obamas wife. tell me who wont like to bear that name. But to me I think..name is what you make out of it and not what people think about it..

GAR3TH: Wow the amount of narcissistic people on this site is Unbelievable. The US army is recruiting them so they can be translators. Whether it be a future war theater, a wire tapping operation, investigations etc. Its not because they are "smart" or "warriors" like some Gullible people have said. Its so they have the right people to translate in a giving scenario, that's what all modern military do.
waoo my brother just this topic has made me to conclude that nairaland is made up of bunch of uneducated peopl. mind you education is not just knowing how to read and write. When i first read that article from nigerianews.com i was like the writter is an idiot. is he/she asking question or explaining issues? US military are is not looking for any person to fight for them. as a mathar if fact there down sizing and kicking alot of military out of the army , navy, marine air force. US military is adopting the 21th century technological war strategy so fewer military needed and more military technology needed. eg drone system. recruiting of Africans not only nigerians did not did not start just 2009 as aserted by the aurthor. i met some nigerian us soldiers who has been there since 1993. and is never and can not be by force. just like no body force you to go to USA. military job is strictly for US citizens. and body will force you to become one....i have to go now..i will complet my sayings..lol

A-ZeD:

Do you pay tithes to the Pastor or to God? If you pay to God and not the Pastor, then where does God reside? Is it only in the church that we can find God? If we can find God outside of the church, can't we pay our tithes there?
Jesus says where two or three are gathered in my name, i am present. If God is therefore present when the two or three people are gathered, why can't i pay my tithe there?
Unless, you pay to the pastor, or you God is only found in churches.
Pls can you answer the question first of all before we move on?..and do we pay tax to jonathan, to okoracha, obi or elechi? or do we pay tax to nigeria as our country or imo, anambra and enugu as state?

Why the insult? Are we quarreling? I really hate it when people start verbally abusing others instead of tackling the topic at hand; it is a sign of incompetence.

Anyway, I'll repose my question to you: how do you explain the death of Okoli in Things Fall Apart?

lol well I apologize for being rude to you...Now you have showed me a sign of maturity..
well why i was so turned hot was that it is quite obvious that Things fall apart is just a mare novel, like ferry tell, like a movie or drama.. is not a a real story of what happened any where.
is the same thing like other novel we read every day. SO CAN NOT BE USED TO PROVE THAT THERE IS JUJU..

@OP, with the look of things i dont need to argue with you as u already drawn a pre-determined inference. so why play on other people's intelligence? i belive you only want to showcase u research. but it's unfortunate your defence lines were very faulty especially when you start quoting BIble. as it is evident with due respect u foolishly pick the verses and bible chapters that suit your research. whatever am responding here is definitely for the christians here. not for you that is nither here or there!

For the record, you cannot proclaim your self a christian and walk the word of God and deny spirituality cos the word of God never shy a way from it. it is evident that there are lots of things that is out of our grasp, due to limits of humanity. they bible made me believe that their are out there a lot goin unseen that than the seen.

see, out of the prophet of the old and new testament, the experience of Daniel was the most facinitating and the words of Paul is awesome among other senerios in the bible! daniel provides a remarkable insight into the reality and might of the principalities and powers under the rule of Satan, “the prince of the power of the air” (Ephesians 2:2). Although Satan is not omnipresent, he has a highly organized host of evil angels at his command. if you check out daniel 10:13"But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia." Undoubtedly, one who takes into view all the circumstances referred to in this passage would most naturally understand this of an angelic being, having some kind of jurisdiction over the kingdom of Persia then. What was the character of this "prince," however, whether he was a good or bad angel, is not intimated by the language. It is only implied that he had a chieftainship, or some species of guardian care over that kingdom - watching over its interests and directing its affairs. As he offered resistance, however, to this heavenly messenger on his way to Daniel, as it was necessary to counteract his plans, and as the aid of Michael was required to overcome his opposition, the fair construction is, that he belonged to the class of evil angels.
in paul's case he so confirm the meta-physical in the book of ephesian 6:12"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" see, apostle Paul says that our struggle is not against flesh and blood. Our true battle is not against our political opponents or family or co-workers or neighbors or any other human agent. The battle is not against people, but against unseen spiritual powers. In fact, the entire human race is under a vicious assault by certain principalities and powers, world rulers of darkness, wicked spirits in high places.

ofcourse we av alot of scams that unbalance both good and evil but that does not makes the power that be unreal. my people, wisdom is the principal thing and He that has wisdom let him get understanding. peace!

when you stop preaching let me know so that we could come back to the great question.. Do u believe in voodoo?
if your answer is yes, Give me example and prove it to me. because i do not.. I call them magic for entertainment..they are fake and not real.. has nothing to do with satan..
You only went fast into the bible because thats the only book you know.
I have said it before lets leave Bible out of these but people keep bringing in verses which made me to return some answers from bible as well.
If me and you go into bible argument .. I BET YOU, YOU WILL HATE YOURSELF..
