On 27/08/2016...I flew air peace from Lagos to PH.... while on cruise, the plane of a sudden lost altitude from about 34k feet and was wobling violently, that even with fasttened seat belt, I had to hold the front sear not to literally fall over...few minutes later, it stabilized... the pilot made an announcement that it was raining in PH...bla bla bla as the reason... this episode happened twice... before we landed.... I beckoned on God for a second chance, it was an unforgettable experience. A friend still had this same experience with Airpeace, when I was narrating my ordeal to him...he said that, in his own case, people were screaming and everybody left their seats and ran to the tail side...finally, when we got to PH, it was a sunny weather, nothing like rain.... since that day, I haven't gotten anywhere near the airport lexy2014: I discovered this morning that there were reports on social media and from some passengers on d plane that d plane actually "dropped" from an altitude of 30,000ft and did a hard landing. I was wondering y would d plane "drop" 30,000ft? Its either it was a mechanical error or d pilot actually lost control of her plane midair.
From my little research, I discovered that d pilot asked to use d international runway for landing as against d domestic runway cos hers was a domestic flight. Her reason was that d weather was bad and it will b safer 4 her to bring d plane down on a longer runway. She was given clearance and d runway was cleared.
D reason 4d loss of tyres might b because of d hard landing she did. But am concerned as to y and how d plane "dropped" midair. D hand landing also suggests that she came down too fast& probably over calculated d distance between her plane and d ground.
Which ever way, if she didn't have any mechanical issues b4 landing, then I think she actually endangered her passengers. So I won't b quick to hail her as brave except she wasn't responsible 4d plane "dropping" 30,000ft |

People that had never experienced rape or narrowly escaped being raped..won't understand the trauma...I will never forget 30/06/05...I escaped by split seconds... i had met him during my dad's burial,as he came with a mutual friend, met him along the road this fateful day ,and unsuspectingly followed him to his house, when he asked me to come see where he stays.i struggled with him for sometime....and all the while, the door was wide open, but no one could hear me...till this day, I don't know how I mustered the strength to push him off my body...as we were still both clothed, and luckily for me, I had worn short under my skirt..he was struggling to pin me down, open my shorts and free his d**k....it wasn't easy for him. Immediately I pushed him off, he dashed straight to lock the door, and I took my leave through the window... I was shaken to my bones...the trauma, the memory is indelible... |
Politics › Re: Zamfara Supreme Court Judgement: Did PDP Meet The Constitutional Requirement? by Cutiesleezy: 5:30pm On May 25, 2019 |
seunmsg: This is a PRE-election matter, the whole 500,000+ votes APC scored, doesn't NOT exist...it SHOULDN'T have been counted in the FIRST place, and CANNOT count now... whether as invalid, void, or whatever words you chose to use...those votes simply doesn't EXIST Very wrong conclusion. Void votes are valid when determining total vote cast in an election. The votes scored by Zamfara APC (though now voided) are still very valid when determining the total vote cast for the election.
The above notwithstanding, the OP is also wrong in claiming that the PDP candidate need 202,696 votes to be returned elected. All that is required to win a governorship election is for a candidate to score a simple majority of the vote cast and get 25% of total vote cast in at least 2/3 of all the local government in the state. |

EgunMogaji: I'll never understand why citizens are not allowed to carry in this country.
It's a requirement. Then watch how crime will reduce overnight. Just like it has stopped/reduced in the US. an average Nigerian is insane and wish for them to own guns too? |

Keep making excuses for the president's obvious inadequacies..is he ever actually responsible for anything? For every of his mis-step, someone else takes the fall....with the usual he is a good man, means well for Naija stale line. Am sorry, he is equally if not more responsible for all these happenings in his government...he was the one elected.. |
