Justice Bassey Nkanang of a High Court in Akwa Ibom State has sentenced Uduak Frank Akpan, murderer of a job seeker, Iniubong Umoren, to death.

Delivering judgment on Thursday, Justice Nkanang ruled that the convict would die by hanging.

He, however, discharged and acquitted the second accused, Frank Akpan, (father of the convict) and third accused, Bassey Anwan (sister of the convict).

Justice Nkanang sentenced Akpan to life imprisonment for the case of rape, and death by hanging for the case of murder.

The judge held, “The defendant, Uduak Frank, Akpan confessed that “I first used condom to have sex with Iniubong Umoren and later removed the condom because I did not enjoy the sex.

“She became infuriated and I reached out to a stabilizer and a box iron and used it to hit her abdominal part and started to bled. I hit her again and she screamed. I used her jean trousers and strangled her and she became lifeless”.


The deceased, Miss Umoren, a 26 year-old graduate of Philosophy from the University of Uyo, and an indigene of Nung Ita Ikot Essien, Oruk Anam local government area, was raped, murdered and buried in a shallow grave by the convict.

It was gathered that Uduak Akpan lured the deceased to his family residence at Nung Ikono Obio village in Uruan local government area for a job interview in April 2021, where she was killed.

Umoren was an orphan awaiting her call-up to the mandatory National Youth Service programme before she was murdered.

While in court, the convict tried to escape but was caught.

Hello guys~ my best friend and I live together in the same neighborhood.

I introduce him to were I was working at the moment because he was seriously in need of a job...

Though! He had a job he was doing but the money they are paying him is just token, so when he came for an interview today.

He passed the prescription test that was given to him, and he was made the assistant Boss and I have been working there for long without been given dis offer.

Being his first time of working with us he has started giving out policy in which I don't like, he's trying to change the system for us making it unbearable for us to cope. And to crown it all, his salary his x2 higher than mine and we both have same qualification.

So am thinking of going to my Boss to lunch complain maybe to ask him to renew my contract.

What do you all think about my step....

I remember the notorious BDC cluster at airport hotel, ikeja those days. I approached one of the Abokis he took me into one of those buildings close to the hotel. I gave him foreign currency... He folded the naira that was in 1,000 notes. He counted the 1ks twice. I didn't realize I was short changed till I got home.The money was for festivity. yeah, he really is a good person. Bought 2 headphones from him, my friends collected them from me the day I bought it..... I chatted him immediately that I need another headphone, baba said he doesn't have any available headphone except the one he's managing and he wouldn't sell to me cos he can't do without it.

Long story short, I Persuaded him to sell his personal headphone to me and baba grudgingly accepted...... And for a discounted amount because, according to him, I'm such a nice person for giving out d headphones I got that very day.

Na still that primesport headphone I dey bang till today and I really like it because its not common.

If you have to keep posting an item for months, it means something is wrong with the item or the price.

If you are on the mainland, there is a huge market for foreign used household appliances. You will find them in Ikotun/Egbeda axis. Washing machines, refrigerators, electric iron, hot plates, inbuilt cookers/ovens, electric kettles, air conditioners, work stations… nonstick wares, etc. All neatly used. Some are almost new sef. If you meet them at the right time, you fit jam spring mattresses and rare items.

I never too see wetin enter my eye for this thread o. Maybe one or two here and there. No be all this rusted refrigerators they are selling here.
