That is the problem with you lot. Even with your assumed advancements, the northerners too would not want to be Igbos. You see traits in them that's unbecoming and they too see many in you. You can have all the supposed advantages you ascribe to yourselves but without empathy you wont make it in public affairs, as you'll be sabotaged

you see your life..You brag about holding power but the more you hold power, the more your people suffer and become impoverished..it's better not to be in power and progress in all spheres of life than to be in power and be drowned in abject poverty and penury..

I have thought of this same issue too and as I was about arriving at an answer (or so I thought), I realized that the Igbos failed to vote for late Odumegu Ojukwu when he ran in 2003.

In 2007 when Buhari ran with late Okadigbo (which should have meant that they could have a shot at the presidency after GMB), they didn't vote for the ticket.

Then I concluded that perhaps the Igbos do not like to produce the president.
