I'm glad that Yorubas are seeing the northern game plan... Wreck so.much violence and in turn propose for grazing reserve son that peace will reign. Also, you people can see that these northerners doesnt understand diplomacy, the only language they understand is equal force.. They are hell bent on getting what they want and that is conquering and dominating the whole Nigeria even if it means by force.. This grazing reserve bill is one of their systematic ways of carrying pit their evil plan and trust me, if this one fails, they are still coming out with another one. We in the SE say NO to grazing reserve.

Politics / Re: Jonathan’s Friends Using Niger Delta Avengers To Destabilize Buhari’s Govt- MEND by CyerSeries: 2:55pm On Jun 18, 2016
So MEND suddenly become the good guys? .. I laugh in swahili.. BTW, the propaganda has been going on too long and it's beginning to sound as a fact.. NDA never asked for Dasuki's release nor the stoppage of prosecuting those in EFCC's net, what they asked for is the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the prosecution of APC goons accused of corruption. Those asking for Dasuki's release and the stopping the prosecution of those accused of corruption are the other militants springing up left, right and center and of course, we know that they are being sponsored by APC to infiltrate NDA and neutralize them with confusion. NDA's request is on their website. We only know and support NDA!!! ... On True Federalism we stand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Nonsense! You haters of humanity always point to this when ever restructuring is mooted, you are among those who feed fat from this yeye system that is good for small countries like Togo, First of all why do corrupt people always win in Nigeria? Ever after the genocide which government has not been tagged corrupt? is it not because they have nothing else to think of other then going to Abuja cap in hand every 30 or so days to collect money, which there are little or no checks and balances, if it were that they will use their brains to think inwards to make the state or region viable there will be no room for corruption, if in my village we need something and wee are paying taxes we will always make the rulers to be on their toes, to make sure they do their jobs, is it not in an idle mind that the devil operates? The standards and qualifications have been lowers so much that merit no longer counts, godfathers everywhere, because a professional will never stoop so low to be appointed, only quacks and impostors do that, and I am sure you are related to one of them.
Don't mind that dude .. He was the one that was vigorously campaigning for grazing reserve and seeing that he failed woefully, they. Have sent him back to come and talk thrash here.. I.wonder how is able to sleep in the night? Tufiakwa..

Exactly bro but I'm in support of the op, regionalism is the way to go although it will be a bit of a stretch since we already have states, but then! Regionalism will bring bigger development, massive infrastructural projects, far better than most states can but most importantly it spreads development to other areas with little or no resources.

For example, enugu has massive oil and gas meanwhile ebonyi, the closest to enugu has nothing, the proceeds from the sales of oil and gas in enugu, after much agreed deductions can be used to fund infrastructural works, and developmental plans in ebonyi because they are in the same region.

But if it were states practicing true federalism, funds from enugu cannot be shared with ebonyi rather after much agreed deductions, the rest goes to the FG leaving ebonyi to her faith. Thereby making some states super richer than the others and also limiting development to some part of the country.

Now can you see the disadvantage of "state true federalism"

Regionalism is the way to go so I'm with the op, tho not because of his stated concerns.
Who told you Ebonyi has nothing? .. This is the reason I support true federalism where every State will fend for herself.. You think Ebonyi State can't survive on her own? .. Go and get your facts right. I'm from Ebonyi and I don't support regionalism, let every State fend for herself.. angry

federalism will divide Nigeria and Nigeria must not divide. The pioneers of Nigeria will always stand against. lets just forget federalism and embrace power at the center. God knows why he made Nigeria. we all need each other to survive. one blessed nation. all we need do is know the fact that death will come to us all one day and no man is immortal. with that at the back of our mind, fairness and equity, peace and progress will lead. we have what it takes to make Nigeria great but greed and corruption has eaten so deep into each and everyone one of us.
How can federalism divide Nigeria when the FG will still be in control of the military? So you want to keep running this backward system where tribalism, quota system and wicked injustice is the order of the day?... With this your reasoning, it's safe to say that Nigeria is cursed beyond redemption.

You talk as if the north is poor and without resources. Agriculture is more concentrated in the north and without any iota of fear or doubt, true federalism will surely favour the north. imagine an environment free from pollution with plenty to feed on. don't think less of the north.
If it will favor the north as you want us to believe, why then are they always against it whenever the issue is brought up? .. Case study is that last national conference.

Nice one Sir but does true federalism pose any threat to Nigeria's unity? What are the possible disadvantages?
True federalism does not pose any threat to Nigeria's unity. "Threat to Nigeria's unity by True Federalism" is just a propaganda by people who wants to maintain status quo. They are feeding large from the current system and does not want it to stop hence, they device a way of deceiving unenlightened Nigerians in order not to support it.

If we poor Ebonyians support true federalism, why shoukf any state in Nigeria be against it?

True federalism will bring healthy competition among states because every state will want to be the best interms of development, both human and infrastructure.

There will be adequate security in each state because every state will carter for their security agencies such as police and civil defence.

It will discourage laziness and encourage hardwork, bringing out the ingenuity in a black man because every state will be forced to go inwards, think critically, be creative and innovative, which will result to success in all facet of human endeavor.. Just like the saying goes, necessity is the mother of invention.
