the closest thing to redmi 5 plus from Samsung is their A8 2018 version that is nearly double the price of what Xiaomi is asking for the redmi 5 plus, there is no basis for comparison at all, Xiaomi wipes the floor with Samsung in the spec or performance per price department *mic drop*

Sorry to bother you all.

So I just got on the Ntel Wawu train. Sadly it appears that my phone doesn't support the Ntel bands.

And that's the confusing part. I use the Xiaomi Mi Max 1. The listed bands are 1,3,7, 38.

Ntel claims to support band 8 and 3.

So I thought I was covered.

I've tried the *#*#4636#*#* trick and still no show. The Sim is stuck on emergency calls only and no service.

Ocassionally it flashes a full bar network and disappears in seconds.

Btw, the wawu sim apparently works flawlessly on Redmi note 4x. I tested it.

And I recently updated to miui 9.5.2 stable global rom. 4 days ago to be precise.

Any suggestions on what else to try please. I'm at my wits end here.

Yeah, true. Xiaomis performance is wonderful, you have tasted the light of snapdragon processor.
You aint entirely true @bolded tho,

Most Samsung devices(even low budget) are at least 1080P AMOLED. N5A uses a 720P IPS.

It came in less than 30 hour's of ordering and I am not in lagos. I am enjoying the phone. The camera is below par compared to my camon. The phone is good and worth buying.

All I do is just to say "OK Google open MX player" and it is done or "OK Google Call Miracle" and it is done....I love Android

Ntel is actually wack... Did their unlimited night sub and I managed to use 13gb ... Got around 1-1.9mbps but it wasn't stable like that even with the D.N.S...
Sometimes the speed will just go as low as 0.0kbps and rise after some seconds

I'm having this same issue. Any fix?

I strongly urge everyone to disregard the above comment, unless you want to be frustrated to death by slow internet. The so-called WAWU sim plans are throttled just so you don't enjoy your data. Stay away from it. I regret ever buying into it.

But if you can afford ntel's unlimited plans, then go those ones. They aren't throttled. Not that they are fast anyway

wow. No wonder I'm getting slow speed on my mifi. If I insert into my mobile it's faster but temporarily loses connection for like 10secs.

So guys my NTELs data speed is slower than when I insert the Sim on my mobile. Average speed isnt up to 1mb, around 700kbs. But when inserted into my phone, it's up to 4mb per sec.
I've reset multiple times. Same ish, what could be the issue?
